Snow Lottery # 2 The Melt

Hey Kassy, not trying to rub it or anything but we've had Sunshine and temps in the 60's since Saturday. Highs in the 60's and lows in the 40s the rest of the week is my kind of weather, even if showers are coming Thursday and Friday. I'm just blaming them on my SIL in TX. I've been turning off the heat and opening windows during the day since Saturday. Today I went for a long walk in the woods, then sat in a chair and felt like an old dog warming my bones in the Sun. Yep, March came like a lamb here too. (Let's keep that a secret so the Lion doesn't know.)

Good idea, lol. That would be great if spring was here early, but not getting my hopes up!

Hey Mom!! Just waiting on the bazillion feet of deer netting I ordered to get here. It is the only hope I have. Daffs are just peeking out and I'm hoping to get them surrounded in time.

Neener, so you mostly get the morning sun. Now if you had the southern sun, I think your snow would melt faster.

Yeah Carol if I had the Sounthern sun I could actually grow real plants up here. :0)

Hello there, guess who's got weather in the 50's..yep, northern Ontario..loving it but know we've a few blizzards to contend with before winter says goodbye

These beautiful days won't last. We traditionally get blasted with a Nor'easter in March so Ole Man Winter's still in charge.

It doesn't look like that here now. Most of ours is gone except chunks here and there, 12' tall in parking lots.

it's been high 40's & 50's the last few days.. doesn't look like much melted yet though

Well, we are all over the map. 68 Sunday, 65 yesterday, 45 today with rain and snowing at 3000 or above in lower mountains. Then by Saturday we will be 70s and the next week 80s. You can never try to figure out the weather in the SW. 2008 we had temperatures over 100 first part of April.

Did you see the National News tonight. They stated that parts of Chili moved more than a foot West during the earthquake.

I'll take snow over that, anyday...those poor people!

Daisy is Doing great She is sitting on her nest Frankie comes in to check on her. she's going to be a good mommy :)) Eggs should hatch by the end of March :) Not sure how many will hatch but will keep you informed.
You proble wonder why she is haven her eggs here is the house & Not in the barn :)

Well everyday she would come in & Get catfood , lettuce, pea;s , pancakes, boil eggs , all type of Treats well one day she came in & Went to sweetpeas sand box & Laid an egg :))) So I Got her a box Moved the egg to the box
& she came in daily to lay an egg :) She knows a warm place :)) But let me just say she goes out 2-3 times a day just like a cat or dog :) she goes to the door ONLY Mess you see is the pine chips on the floor when she gets in & out :)

It is going faster than I thought it would. rain coming and that will help. We may have a winner by the end of the weekend.
