Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

woah.. bison.. never cooked that before

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Replaced beef with bison, much healthier

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not for the bison.

Thomaston, CT

Roast stuffed chicken, green beans, acorn squash with maple syrup.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Sounds delicious!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - especially the squash!

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

pizza last night, Lions Club dinner meeting tonight. Kids are on their own.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I tried to get Randy to eat more squash... with maple syrup ... once in the oven.. once on the grill... it didn't work.. it is not something I grew up eating.. but I really like it now

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I had squash for lunch today, love it

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not sure I ever had acorn squash.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it's very good.. and since he won't eat any... they are a good size for me .. 1/2 one day.. 1/2 the next... and I tried zucchini marinated in Italian dressing and put that on the grill.. he wouldn't eat that either

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Zucchini is nice with tomato sauce.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

my mom never made stuff like that.. it's all new to me.. but still learning

:)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

I'm with Randy, don't like squash.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Love butternut squash.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Dad grew that one, won't eat it either.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I learned how much I like butternut last year.. I made risotto with white wine & butternut squash.. it came out fantastic... and Randy ate that too.. he had no idea it was in there... even ate some leftovers ... more or less he is like a little kid that I have to hide the veggies

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee! Even my picky younger one eats butternut. I don't like the summer yellow one.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

don't think I ever tried a yellow one.. always been orange

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nope never tried it

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I've never made risotto, but that sounds just DELICIOUS!!! How did you do it? We really like squash here.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Love squash, any kind. We just slice it up and put it on the grill in aluminum packets with butter, salt and pepper and some ice cubes.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

love summer squash - will not eat zuc's - all other squash is good too - allison it sounds more like randy does not like the thought of eating squash not the flavor.

I made zuchinni relish and you wouldnt even know it was zuchinni.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

summer squash and zucchini are pretty close in taste, although SQ is softer - i just had too much Z one summer and prefer SQ now instead.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We had one of our faves last night - spaghetti with cut up ham and cucumbers, with soy sauce. A bit salty, but delish! Olive oil, garlic and onion round it out.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

that sounds interesting

Thomaston, CT

Mmm...all things that I like...Allison, if you or Randy don't like cooked squash, you can grate raw zuke & yellow squash, mix with grape tomatoes, & chopped red onions, olive oil & white wine vinegar, salt & pepper...it's a really good salad for summer.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I like yellow summer squash in a salad.
