Today's Weather in Your Garden - 64
looks cold
wow you guys got lots of snow - just rain and HIGH wind here last night. trees were really swaying!
30 this morning.
thx patty - i have something like that growing wild here.
still waiting for the picture of the carrano boys shoveling!
18" in my back yard.
It's still coming down,
Nancy
We got rain and some wind. I am dubious about the big wind gusts some say we got. I heard one good one, but nothing amiss in the yard.
Celeste, That is a big swing set to toss about. Hope it is repairable.
schickenlady Is that water?
It is 37* , but the big news is that we finally have a big flock of robins in the yard. They are delighted with the soft soil. Another sure sign of spring a-coming.
Victor must be buried in snow. NYC got lots, 16" in Central park. No news from our son yet either. He can walk to work, 25 blocks, and hopefully has his Maine boots with him. But his snowshoes are in Vt. I must remember to take them down to him for next winter. Stay dry and upright everyone, especially debilu. Ouch. Patti
gabagoo, Cross posted, that is a lot of snow. Patti
30*F and still snowing, probably only a couple of inches but it's blowing so bad it is all being deposited in the empty spaces that were shoveled. Pathways have just disappeared that still had 14" sides or so, apparently the roads are just as bad on a bigger scale. I'm going back to bed till April. LOL Ric.
PS. I remember having a snow day from school in the 60's, it was April 1st. :-{

Yes, a pond would be lovely back there, Sherrie---you could skate in the winter! Can't believe the forecast from Anchorage! The climate is flip-flopping-----Patti, the collage was very welcome---nothing above ground here....after torrential rain all day yesterday, we are now getting buried with snow---it's coming down so fast, it looks like rain. Deb, my drive was a sheet of ice under the snow as well---went up the snowbanks on the lawn to retrieve the papers this morn. Victor, today is a popcorn day with the boys---since my boy is grown, it's a popcorn day with the pups!
30°, wind W 0.0mph, snowing
6" accumulation so far, predicting additional 3"+ by end
30 here ans snowing. Not sure how much has fallen. We slept late and I have not been outside. My bird feeder is leaning way over.
geeze it stopped for a little while... coming down pretty hard now
Tell her to stay safe and warm!
She is, they have the fireplace going. It's still coming down here. The center of this storm is in NYC!
I know. My parents are buried in Queens.
Hope they are staying warm.
Unreal...no snow here! 34 degrees. Bare pavement--no snow on grass except for remnants of old snow piles--flurries all AM -no accumulation. Schools are closed d/t snow in some parts of the state.
Don't complain!
Wish I lived in that part of CT----it has stopped for the moment, but I'd say 3" on the ground, I'm sure my son is getting hammered 40 min. to the NW of us---they are in the 12" band---we're 4-6", but I'll be optimistic!
Sorry about the outage at IrisMa. Pain as you never know how long you are going to be out.
phoebesviolets, I am with you as we had even some sun out briefly, but not long enough to inspire me to go out and work. No snow. Wind gone by this morning. May get flurries in the early morning then more rain.
schickenlady, I vote for pond too. Amazing. I kept looking at it and thinking, NO WAY. Ducks will be happy. Patti
Yikes! Not complaining! It's nice to be the lucky one! The sun has been out here too-very briefly. The geese are swimming across the street. And...Daffs are up, mums have new leaves ^_^
Rain, Wind, and flooding here..........we're having a break at the moment. ^_^

Lull here now too. Still predicting up to 2' feet when done.
what did i do wrong not to get 2 ft of snow!! would love that.
take mine Bill Please!!!!
Sun just came out!
Wow - very nice!
Just back from the mailbox - no way we got anything close to what I was hearing on the radio. It's all over from the wind, but I'd say it's well under a foot.
Wow - you got tons!
looks familiar Deb
Started flurries here again about dusk, most earlier accumulation was the result of blowing. In other words the only thing needing shoveled is what was, #$%*@^%. Hope the flurries and blowing stop, we're supposed to go to a seed swap in Fredrick, Md tomorrow AM, and make an injured cousin pick-up below Richmond, Va. Sunday about noon. Saw a good sign while I was out, someone put a FREE SNOW sign in the massive pile by their driveway. I'm glad someone still has a sense of humor about it, mine's about shot. Ric
