39*F here now, we had a light drizzly snow over night, but no real accumulation since it was above freezing. We are to get high winds and snow bands tonight into the AM, with possible accumulation of 3-6". It's actually rather bright here now and the early wind is helping dry things a little. Ric
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 64
It is really amazing. Your temps on the east coast are very close to ours here in Anchorage, Alaska. We have been running in the low to hi 30's for a couple of weeks. Unheard of . Snow melting, pond ice disappearing, at least where the waterfall keeps it open. Then I got up today and we are getting buried in snow. I guess the difference is that when you get a week or so of sun and +30, you see dirt. All I get is a few inches less snow on the ground, with a foot or so left. Won't see dirt til probabably the first of April. I have a friend in Leesburg, VA. Don't envy her the rain, snow, ice, etc. Seems like most of your drivers aren't too prepared for it. And the population density makes it positively scary. Let us sing and 'ode to spring'!!
Roads are all clear here, that's the kind of snowfall I like.
Now raining. but no wind yet. Patti
Wicked wind here and rain coming in sideways!!
have had a light rain all day with the hard pour still to follow.
patti what is that on the bottom right?
Raining off & on with wind. We are east of Bill.

Hee hee. Mostly slush and I just shoveled the front walkway.
37°, just rain so far, wind WNW 8-12
Still snowing here but not a whole lot of accumulation, maybe 2"
Very high wind & rain.
Latest forecast calls for 15-20 inches total by tomorrow night!! Dang!
I'm having your winter, your having mine. ^_^
Haaaa!---feel my pain! I just went for a lovely walk in the reletively warm rain! So nice for a change!
Yes - it seems so!
Schools are closed tomorrow. Stuck with them again!

Snowing here. We are on the line for 1-4, 3-7. We'll see come morning how much we get.

Lots of rain today, but the big wind predicted is only in the 30's with gust to 50. Not the hurricane winds they have been talking about, yet. 39 F. out now. Patti
Very windy now.

We got at least a foot of snow, with ice underneath - fell trying to walk this morning after slipping about 5 times. So skipped that and got my exercise shoveling the driveway.
New York State 16 inches overnight more to come plus wind 30 mph

hope you are alright Deb.. take it easy
I'm fine, thanks!
good!
Wow Celeste
OMG it looks terrible just west and north of here. Be careful everyone. Hope they get power on for all those people. I am very thankful we have missed out on the bulk of the snow here. Alternating between bits of sun, snow, sleet and rain. Temp is 30 degrees and should go up to 40s. Wind still light from ESE but should increase in intensity later today. Doesn't look like it will be much different for the next few days.
I read that Sherrie!!! The winds were so bad they could not contain it.....how terrible!
Here's the story.
