Randy gave up too... said he is going to clean the driveway tomorrow.. and hopes it chunks up some
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 64
still waiting for proof the carrano boys are earning their keep!
We didn't get anywhere the amount they said, maybe 3"???
28 now going to 39.. snow showers on & off all day.. can't believe that's all you have Jen.. the snow clinging to the tress looks nice.. I am amazed it didn't blow off with that wind yesterday
Snow flurries and light snow showers on and off this am. Should eventually go over to rain if the temp goes up as forecast to high thirties. Light wind now blowing in from the SW direction so the temps will stay a bit cooler today. Present temp is 29 degrees with snow. Hope you all are doing okay and have power back. I will be very happy to see the end of Feb. as will many of you I am sure. I really cannot complain, this winter we didn't get every storm like last year and many of you have gotten clobbered in the last few storms, so I am thankful that this area has dodged the worst of it this year. Anything that drops from now on will probably melt quickly with the warmer and warmer sun, if we can get rid of the clouds for a day or two, and spring will turn up soon and lighten everyone's load. Stay safe and warm everybody.
In the time it took me to post on another thread, granted I am a little slow, the snow has stopped and the sun has broken through the clouds. Gotta love this crazy weather.
We got a tiny dusting in the early AM, but only sign of it is a in couple of very protected depressions. Sun is out and it is 36 F. But some clouds are lurking that bode more rain. Patti
32 with the sun emerging. Possible snow on Wed!
... yes, I heard a rumor to that effect!
35°, windchill 27°, wind S 8mph, cloudy
(a bit of a raw day today here)
flurries... UGH
flurries here too. Patti
A few flurries this morn---looks like more coming in, but not a bad day---just don't want any more snow, thank you.
Snowing off and on here. DH was in the snow plow for his work last night.
Well at least this storm was a little more normal, you northern people got more than we did. Hubby calling it the dud storm of the winter
Calling for snow/rain tomorrow.
27 and getting a snow shower now... going to be 37 later.. and waiting for the snow to slide off the roof... getting closer everyday
It is overcast but the sun does try to break through and succeeds for a minute or two here and there. Temp is 35 degrees now and all the snow has melted again until the next go round with precip tonight or tomorrow. Wind is light so far from the NE but should increase as the storm pulls away. High for today should be around 40.
38 and overcast. Some more melting today.
37°, windchill 31°, wind N 7mph, cloudy
Haven't seen the sun since last Tuesday, I think it's scheduled to make an appearance tomorrow. (lol)
Greetings world! Power back on just before 9:30 this morning. It went off just before the skating on thurs. night so missed it. Missed all of yesterday's Olympics as well. We went through a lot of wood which has been cut over the yrs. Man across the street said that he was down to 5 logs as the power truck was here. Certainly, returning to the days of yesteryear, I realize why colonial people had warming pans. Could have used one as when you get out of bed, warm spot disappears. Nice winter gloves to wear at night.
Welcome back!!
Glad your back!
Snow this morning, cloudy all day.
glad you made it back and the lights are on!
So you missed a lot of the games, Lucy.
Bummer! My stepson in Maine is without power still. We had a few hours of light snow---should get a miss for tomorrow's storm---not sure about Wed. yet---wish someone would just shut the snow machine off!
It's snowing!!!!
Glad your power is back Iris, thats too bad you missed all the games.
Robin, sorry to hear about your son and family, many were hit hard in the Southern and Western part of the State. I was very lucky, we only got alot of rain and wind but never lost the power. Portsmouth NH had wind gust of 91 MPH and POrtland ,Maine had 68. Lots of damage done.....unbelievable photos.
the rain here got in somewhere above our second bath - need to climb up in the attic and see where if i can - hopefully it is a freak thing from the heavy rain
There was a heavy drop of rain here, but the wind did all the damage. More snow set for tomorrow, leave the wind at home. Hope the power crews work in Maine goes well.
one of those morning.. maybe I posted in the wrong thread.. but I thought I did this.. 35 now going to 43... wind is whipping
37 and partly sunny.
Nasty, a little snow on the ground, but now it has turned to rain, blowing. Patti
wind NW at 26 MPH gusting to 39 MPH
Temperature 35.
Whipping wind and snowing 36*.........snow will stop soon, wind will not.
Patti, I think we are having approx. the same weather.....
Winds NNW at 20 to 30 mph . A slushy accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph

Wow - just noticed while waiting for the bus that a neighbor has a huge evergreen - looks like a spruce or fir, that has cracked or uprooted and is leaning into some smaller deciduous trees.

no snow yet - 32 and windy
Celeste, Sounds like the same icky weather in Me as in Ack.
Victor, Hope it isn't leaning toward your yard. Patti
No, it's not. They are behind my next door neighbor and it's leaning to the side.
Hope that tree doesn't do any damage to any structures. We had an old white pine over 100' tall uproot and fall over just over the property line of my neighbors in one of the nasty storms last year. Other trees held it up and kept it from crashing down all at once too. We had three very tall pines taken down this spring to prevent the scene from happening again in our yard. With all the wet and wind this year I am sure they would have gone and taken the power lines with them.
We woke to another coating of snow that has now turned to rain just like others in the area are reporting. Nasty, cold, and wet pretty much says it all. Temp is 34 degrees with a gusty north wind. Blech!
Snow has turned to rain here as well. Nothing to really plow, but DH has been scrapping off the car & tough parts of the driveway. Wind with gusts to 30 mph. Much better than 60 of the same.
Wind has canceled the steamship for today, so far. Rough waters. Patti
well i just realized the wind from the other day knocked off a bird feeder by our office window - landed on rocks and shattered - and i lost one branch from a jm that was over wintering in the back, not destroyed thankfully.
