Don't worry Pegi, it may be melting, but then it is 10 degrees at night so it all freezes and then has to start over again. :)
Snow Lottery
I am into April also. I am thinking on the North side of the house, maybe under some bushes and in shade, it will take longer there.
That's the problem Venice.. It is all in the shade. :0)
It's melting here, but we're supposed to get more on Sunday.
rvnsbrk, did you tell us in what city you live???
March 17th
Venice..it's right under my name.. Leesburg, VA Northern VA. More coming on Monday I'm afraid.
oh no.. can I change my date??.. LOL
If we get more, depending on how much, I'll let folks change their dates. Have to decide on a cut off date anyway.
Never knew this would get so complicated. :)
I was kidding actually.. the date can stay.. you never know
Hi..What a fun idea...Going into April, hmmm how 'bout the 12th.
Daaa! I know locations are there. What am I thinking!!! Or not thinking is more like it!
March 28th.
I think we all have brain freeze issues by now, lol. I sincerely hope that those of us who guessed April are wrong, for your sake, rvnsbrk!
Well April is better than June. :0) That would be my guess about now.
Juanita
LOL We're supposed to get 4-6 more inches between Sun. night and Monday night. And then still more next weekend! I hope I don't have to start a snow lottery...but then, with all you got, 'snow ' big deal here. ;)
rvnsbrk, a little snow here and there isn't a big deal through the first of April. Come on April 5th!
Just think of the poor Winter Olympics that are suffering from lack of snow!
'snow ' big deal here. ;)
How cute & clever, Renee. I like your sense of humor.
Hang in there Nita, you've had a rough week and I'm still thinking about you.
Susan a.k.a. Frosted Flake
^_^ LOL, love your nickname---hey, I know flakes that aren't frosted, and they're not sweet at all..
march 23
It's great to see some new faces and it's so cool that you are joining in the fun. Thanks!
Nita
This is fun! I'm at the end of February so I will definitely have to change my date if you get more snow LOL
Imzadi, Hi! Good to see you again!
My son lives in Columbia. How is the weather down there. Did you get any snow? Or just in the mountains?
Please come visit us!
Just a note to let you know I changed from SharonKWinter to WormsLovSharon.
Havin' fun with those guys are you Sharon???
June 1st is my guess if its not already taken.
Rosethyme, June 1st, are you sure???? lol
Leave her alone venice... she's probably right in the ballpark. :)))
Juanita
Rosethyme, sorry! Juanita may be very right! Probably right in the ball park.
Lol, being in Texas, I know nothing about Virgina weather....just a wild guess for fun. I was thinking about when we were in Colorado one July and it seemed so odd to see snow on the mountains. Texas is brutally hot in July. We have had record snow here last week...very unusual to have snow at all in Denton, TX. Maybe a little once a year and that's it. It was so beautiful and our two dogs loved it.
I think many of us base our guess on our own experience. I did.
I used to play in the snow in July at Lake Tahoe when I lived in northern California. What fun it is when you can turn the car around and leave it behind!
Weather was so beautiful and temp around 80. Can see mountains from kitchen window and lots of snow up there. The skiers just love that. Planted sweet peas the first part of October and I saw my first flower today, lavender and smelled so great. I thought I would have to wait another month or so for them to bloom.
Oh Pegi I would love to smell that Sweet Pea about now. :0). Wish I could grow them here. When we retire I am going to have a house with a flat driveway and full sun so I can grow all the veggies and flowers I can't have here. The woods have their advantages. Like the flock of wild turkeys I see all the time, but for growing stuff you need the sun.
Kywoods I got married in Lake Tahoe at Caesar's in April of 2006, I know exactly what you are talking about!
I'll guess April 18th. Wow, you have more snow than we do - my sympathies go out to you!
Samigal, please post your flowers and make us envious!
Thanks for joining us Chris!
Another 2" today and it's still coming down. Somewhere along the way I really must have ticked off Mother Nature.
LOL, a lot of us must have! We got six more inches today...and it's still snowing.
