Good Evening everyone...

Excuse my absence, it is really all of your faults! lolol...now that all the cleaning is done, well now I am lost in a sea of materials.
I have been concentrating so hard on the patterns, mix and matching the variety of materials, shaking my head here, you gals got me started in whole new world! I eat, while looking through the book for next block, how should I put it together, and blending is really hard!
But, I have discovered that using clear plastic for the templates are the best way to go for me...lol, today i forgot to eat. But I worked a Basket and the Pinwheel, Just finished tracing and cutting the template for the OH star.

Thank you for your support on my blocks, I really appreciate it because you all do such lovely work. I am beginning to feel more confident with mine...Big smiles for Jaye and Marion, and you all!!.

Jaye, how funny, just thinking your boulder holder, molds, ice chests, and whatever other funny use name was provided...Had to giggle some more that you still getting them!! Well, now I sure hope your feeling better. Your 5in. will melt in a quick hurry!

Heheheh, Marion and Linda Kaye off to the corner again, need A new Bailey's bottle?

Awww, Kim, I was a bit bummed you couldn't make it, but I did realize you probably got over whelmed with all the appointments and traveling you have been doing. Thanks for telling me you forgot, I appreciate your honesty over it...LOL, You just want me to Hand deliver your present that's been getting grey hair since you moved, ROFLOL! Yep i am still planning on coming to visit with you and Susan-T.Chi!
looking forward to it. Lovely gift you received. I hope you had a nice visit with dad.

So nice to see you post BJ!! LOL, I sure know what you mean about DH's getting bored! Sounds like your project is well underway.
Awe, how cute you have a Beagle, keeping fingers crossed training will go quick and easy.

Barb, Ohhh your Honey bee pillow is so Pretty! How neat it was your first square too...LOL, My first square was just that, lol Worked a 9 patch for my first real quilt! Marion helped me with it. Got to laugh, it was suppose to be a weekend project and it took me 3 months.

Cindy, I know you are just a busy bee! I hope having fun with the towels too. What a cute frog you sent to Jaye modeling uh, the frogarment! too cute, did you make the frog? OHh, lol I thought The Camelia was the name of the rose, thanks for setting me strait, it's a beauty.

Crissy, Sure hope your feeling better. Gentle Armwraps to you. ((((((())))))) Also, thanks for the reminder on Brug!

Well, looks as if I've written a book! I think about all of you all the time. Especially these past couple of days since most of the material is from you from last years birthday. Jaye, you know, This quilt could be used as a table cloth or a cover up. I am making it as a Sampler piece, hahaha mind could change at any given moment.

OK, I better go see if Tacos are ready I'm starved...
See you later.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Shucks, I was good for a couple of days and I am still in the corner!! Must be me personality!!!!! Everyone knows I am going to do something bad so put me in the corner and never let me out. Sob! Sob!

What Kathy is snowed in? Oh that is something!! Waving as I hope she does have her computer working and that she is staying warm. We had the sun out brightly today but was oh so cold!! Thank goodness no ice or snow to deal with. More rain is predicted for the coming week but not sure what day---temps to stay in low 50s or high 40 a couple of days.

Please all, stay warm and take care.

OBTW Jaye, love you froggie and his attire--all! ......and the red! Well all I can say is greeeeee.

OK - reporting that my beaujolais is good, very smooth.

And that Celtic Woman was AWESOME. That gal with the fiddle kept leaping off the steps and dancing while she was playing. And she did it in SKINNY HEELS!!! Randall said his heart just about stopped the first time she did it.

he was mesmerized by the drummers.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Write a book anytime, sistah Judy. You've always made sure to address everyone.. no sistah left behind!

Slept when we got home. Got invited to a Chinese New Year steam boat dinner, but had to turn it down.
Think I'll be staying home tomorrow, let Kel go to church by himself.
No, I don't have the flu. Got all my flu shots.. but like Bon here, proned to chronic sinus infections, even though I flush out my sinuses :*(

Good night sistahs.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Happy Valentine's Day ladies.

Everything that's sweet is wished for you all!

Susan, Coldfx is sold at almost every drug store here at discounted prices at times. Some sites say it might not work for all, so.. I might have to triple the dose instead with the next purchase.

LK, some quilters use tatts to express their love of quilting. Wished I had scanned the pages for you.
Where will you be taking your dad today?

Staying away from church. Ears ache, throat's sore.. still on antibiotics. Gonna eat 'clean' today. Grilled veges and soup.

Have a fantastic Valentine celebration !

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

I'm waiting for my Sweetie to come and take me to lunch, and bring me my Valentine! He always brings me a dozen roses and a Teddy bear! Last year be brought me a smaller one 'cause I'm running out of room to put them! I have two hanging from the walls! I love them! He's so sweet! Can you tell I love him?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You better love him!! Roses and Teddies are not cheap anymore, unless he plucked the roses off someone's grave!!!
Joking... I am glad you got a good man there that loves you unconditionally.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Cindy that's so sweet!!! Thank you!! I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!! Me and Dave aren't celebrating it this year, there was too much snow on the ground when we needed to be card and gift shopping, so oh well. I made chocolate chip cookies for him last night ;)

Thanks for the hugs Judy!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, are you talking about the fun n done patterns?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Happy Valentines Day, sweets for the sweetest. Okay, here is your laugh for the day: I called my GDs to wish them a Happy Valentines Day and the youngest (4 1/2) only comment was: Really?

Jaye as much as I would love to have the credit for the above site, it was me but quilter_gal who posted the link. It is really a neat idea and I, too, have ordered a set. I might get some finished by using that method as hand quilting is just to hard for me to do anymore.

Bright sunny day here, in the 50s but the rain is due back tomorrow.

Anyone heard from Kathy and the snow?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, how does it work, I can't get the videos to load, I keep getting an error page?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, I posted it at the other building!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY SISTAHS!

19 years ago today, I officially accepted Randall's proposal of marriage! My guy is so romantic. He remembers, and we celebrate, the day we met, the day I unofficially said yes, the day I officially said yes, the day we wed, and the day we might have conceived our daughter! LOL

should comment here, before anyone asks - I said, "ok" on Jan. 14th, but then started waffling and dragging my feet about getting the ring picked out, setting the date, etc. In fact, I demanded a 1 year engagement, I was so scared to remarry.

3 weeks later, I danced too many times at the Longbranch with another guy (he helped teach me to dance). Randall about hit the roof. He set a deadline of one week to chose the ring. As luck had it, the ring was picked, sized and ready on Valentine's Day. And he made sure the kids came along to the Mexican restaurant where we'd had our first date, so he'd have witnesses this time when I said yes! LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

here it is LK

And wishing you and Randall both more years of celebrating Valentine's/Anniversary day together!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, I ordered the Fun and Done tool (18.99) and a pattern.. Blooming Bossums.

I can't wait for them to get here!

Lolol.. that 'bossums' supposed to be Blossums!!! Thank God it's not Bosoms!!

Our darling sistah, who's supposed to be a Southern belle, CANNOT make biscuits from scratch, even using any pre-mix stuffs.
So please, post easy doable biscuit recipes to help her out and regain her Southern pride!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Hiya Sistahs!! I found you at the other room! Thanks for posting that link, Jaye ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Susan, I'm packing your fabric plus other essentials. They'll be (hopefully)mailed next week!! Me so scatter brained!!! ---sob---

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Here's an easy biscuit recipe:

Brown Sugar Shortbread Biscuits

Ingredients
8 oz soft butter
2 1/2 cups sifted plain flour
1/2 cup light brown sugar firmly packed

Method
In a large bowl put butter and sugar and beat till light and fluffy and then blend in the flour until smooth and well combined. The dough will be firm. Chill for several hours. Divide the chilled dough in half. Working one half at a time roll to 1/3 inch thick and cut into shapes with a 1 1/2 inch cutter. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased shallow oven trays and bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes or until light golden brown. Lift the Brown Sugar Shortbread Biscuits onto wire cooler immediately.

Glenview, IL

OMG..Susan, that sounds so easy and delicious! I might have to make some too.

Morning Ladies,

Synda, having Steve with me yesterday helped.I had gotten up early and was online, went to FB and saw where my daughter had posted about missing my hubby too. Then the tears started and I had a hard time getting them to stop. Then later in the day my mom was talking with my daughter and she told us that her ex-father-in-law has two tumors on his lungs. I am so heart broken, I was so hoping we could get through on year with losing a family member. You see he was also the man who married Francis and I, even though he is ex-in-law, he always was very close to us. He was also the man who did my husbands memorial service. My grandson is very close with him, and I know this is going to hit him hard. Ok enough of that.

How about those races huh!!!! Crissy, what a fantastic finish!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone. Cindy so sorry you have another sick family member. Seems like once they have been in the family, they are always part of the family. Sending thoughts and prayers for him.

Coffee is on, and hot oatmeal for a cold morning here. Only 32 degree's. Who turned on the cold???

Dad and I went for a Short ride last night, and on the way home, the speeometer in the truck went up to 120 miles per hour, after I pulled over on the shoulder and was stopped. It would not go back to zeero. I called Todd and told him, and he said to get home quickly, as there is an electrical short somewhere. I was so scared, there may have been a fire or something. I got home safely, and he said he would check it out today. I do hope it is something easy to fix! Not to mention, not knowing how fast I was going?
