Couldn't sleep, went shopping, needed a ball of yarn to finish my afghan..4 - 4" blocks short..$8.98 for the ball of yarn, now I've got to make something else to use it up..lol

Judy, just make sure Jacob doesn't fall out of bed, likely to bread a bone or 2...my nephew did something similar, bit higher and then he set up his desk/chair and bookcase underneath...good way to use up space, his room wasn't all that big so it was an improvement..now look at Skittles...adorable! When does Steve go back to work? you'd better watch out Judy, you've adapted to home life, not working, that if he stays off much longer he'll be doing the same..oooh isn't it the Bahama Mama party this Sat. - guess you are busy planning...

Betty, a number of years back I started having chest pains, shortess of breath and at times I felt like I had a giant butterfly in my chest that was flapping away. Scared me badly. After tests and work up they found that what I was having was PAC. Permature Atial Contractions. And that they were caused by stress. After taking some stress reducing classes and learning ways to reduce stress, I'm doing much better. But notice that when my stress level goes up I will start having the same symtoms again.

LOL, Mary yes that is a pup on his bed! The stuffed kind. He has had that pup since he was 3, it's the only real toy he keeps, He has one other pup one that he keeps stashed away, with his favorite story The diggingest Dog by Dr. Suess....lol, got a story behind that one, lol of course!

Mary, does worry you! I've kept a log thinking 'ok, maybe it's indigestion' so mark down when it starts, is it after I eat???sometimes not always..then when it's bad enough to take 'nitro' ask myself 'is it still there'? then I take something for indigestion, sometimes it helps, sometimes not...

You know someone asked me if I was under any kind of stress...just me, family all doing fine so don't know what I'd have to be stressed about..guess they'll eventually find out...

Told Paul yesterday when he knew I was having difficulties that should someone cancel they'd call me so I could get in early, for a 2nd time he said 'Betty, people don't cancel heart tests, they die and then there is an opening' omg something his brother, my DH would have said..

LOL, far as the shrine, well...Steve has horded the space for all of his office records...what a mess, with that closet for a storage will take care of that, I hope...lol, he has been shredding for days, finally it died! So he went to get another...right now the kitchen table has all of that stuff, so he has to keep at it. needless to say he isn't bored anymore. But on the serious side, He has taken the time for healing from surgery...Doing great, going to therapy, But now he is antsy to get back to work, Had three calls and today out doing an estimate! yaya.

I have applied to many jobs, grumbling because i haven't heard from any of them. And the one I really wanted, sent my resume to the e-mail they listed and got a Demon Failure!! boy oh boy is that upsetting!

Everyone must be busy these days, yesterday seemed kind of quiet all over.

Scheduled to go across the border tomorrow, need USA Funds and health insurance coverage but think I'll wait until lunch tomorrow just to make sure I feel well enough to go...know if I go to the garden gallery something will come home with me..lol

Judy, my parrot eats everything we eat, and if we don't share, he start hollaring! he does not like banana's, or oranges, but he eats, spaghetti, chicken/especially the bones, pork chops, steak... I buy a 5 pound bag of parrot food, and that will last me like 3 weeks, cause he eats human food!

I'm down in the dumps today, Dave threw his "Im going to CA" crap again, this time he has a job, to get his mom out of the house, send his step-dad back to Peru, and bug bomb the house. First of all, I don't know where he thinks the money is going to come from, he's not doing it with mine this time. He did that once and put me through pure hell plus racked up a credit card bill in my name up to $20,000 and his uncle was supposed to be paying him for working, which he didn't and I ended up paying the bill, two months after we got married, I'm not going through that again, I'd rather be alone. Second of all, he seems to want to do this when my dad and his girlfriend are going to be visiting the last week of March, and I think he should be home. He also has to call in on his unemployment, take care of things at home, and basically be a husband instead of "running away" from it.

I don't mind him wanting to go see his mom, I do mind him spending money and coming up with excuses to leave at a time he knows I can't go. So anyway of course I get upset again, but this time I just walked away when he was in mid sentence with his back turned. He must have turned around, he said, "Where did you go?" I was on the other side of the house turning the computer on, so I didn't respond. He said, "Tiga, your mom doesn't want to hear it." You're darn right I don't want to hear it! I was gathering laundry and he got in the way so I just pushed him out of the way, he told me I was non confrontational. I went to the bathroom to wash my nylons in the sink and he came back there and told me to calm down, that he wasn't going anywhere. Whatever. I'm almost to the point to packing his suitcase up and telling him to get out.

Oh Crissy, I can't imagine going through that. Just take a deep breath, and sit him down, and tell him things don't work that way!

Oh Betty, what I need to say, had been expressed by others here.
I'm proud of you though, for being vigilant and rest when need to. Shopping is rest right?

Yesterday had been a busy day for me with vets and when I got home, my body claimed a full evening's sleep that began at 7.00 pm.

But I want to share this darling kitchen towel with you all. Our own Judy made this. Isn't she an awesome craftsperson??
It's just too adorable to be used and I should make a shadow box just for this!!

Just picked up soup, dropped into the quilt/knit shop across the street, bus load of people there shopping, knitting lessons going on..tough time finding a parking spot..did get a pattern though for a fleece jacket with knitted arms and waist/neck band..picked up travel insurance for mom and I and now back to the office..yum/yum..cream of broccoli soup delicious..

Wow Crissy, no wonder you are all hyped up...that is running away from his problems and won't do anyone any good!! People react in different ways when under stress, perhaps as you've done, leave him to his own antics, he'll settle in and see it's not the thing to do! Is there something special going on in March that he feels he should be in California for?...
tomorrow it may very well be another plan he'll come up with, one to do some of your 'to do' list...I'm sure hoping the economy changes for you all...I'm sure it's very hard to sit at work thinking about all that is going at home...how in the world did he manage to rake up a $20K bill?

You must have needed the rest to fall asleep at 7pm..of course that's almost my regular bedtime but am up by 5:00am and sometimes before that...

Ohhh you know how I talked about getting a Wii and Wii fitness plus..well Bernie told me to stop in tonight, wanted to give me $$$ to purchase the Wii..thought I might find it in USA..of course he's being far too generous, says he didn't get me anything for christmas these past few years, nor my birthday and wants me to have it...

First of all, look at all the work he's done for me, even building the back bedroom deck free of charge and no cost for materials so he's done more than enough....I've decided NOT to take him up on it...

Charlene his wife has been driving a $400. vehicle that has been breaking down at least 3 times a week...now that the insurance has come through he bought her a brand new vehicle, picking it up this afternoon...both are thrilled as am I..

Back to my last row of crochet, maybe tonight I'll get to do the 2 rows around it and it's done....

The weather gets better, but it's not hot yet, my dad is visiting me at the end of March, that's it. The problem is, there is a very strong El Nino sitting right off the shore of CA that is bringing in storm after storm after storm, and February and March are the wettest months of all of them anyway. He is running away to do his own thing, he says the small trips I've done to meet and visit DG people makes it ok for him to do this. NOT!!!

Betty that is awesome! BUT a word of advice about the Fitness, we have a Wii and Fitness, I'm not sure the Fitness is worth the $$ Betty, if you know someone who has one I'd use theirs and see what you think first, us and many other people don't like it, it's too hokey. If I were to do it over again I'd buy the balance board by itself and some skiing and snowboarding games to go with it LOL!

He was remodeling, and ended up completely gutting, that stupid 3000 sq ft 1911 house in Malvern for his uncle and was paying for sheetrock, windows, doors, foundation, complete plumbing overhaul, complete roof, 3 huge dumpsters of garbage to be hauled off, meals, booze, parties, dinners for people showing off, the credit card bill was not the only thing hit for thousands.

OMG Crissy..you'd have thought the uncle would have paid you back at least for the building supplies...

Yes, I played with Melanie's Wii ..she got Wii Plus Fitness, had a great time...I'll purchase it myself..will look in USA on the weekend for the Wii and the game but from what I see they are more there than here...

At MHV the Wii is $219.99 and the Wii Plus is $99.99..ON SALE..no reason they can put them on sale, no-one has them, all out...bet they won't be on sale when they finally have them...

Sorry to hear about all the inclement weather Crissy..felt like spring here this aft. even though it's -1..I have to say we've had a fantastic winter so far, only left the office early because of the weather 2 times..I know we've still all of Feb. and March..Feb can be the stormiest of the winter months...my plowman is happy, last year he was at the house almost every day for 3 1/2 months, this year only once or twice a week and some weeks not...

Meant to add Crissy, lordy you only spend a couple of days away from home when you were visiting with us and cost minimal because we shared accommodations...think the stress is getting to him...

You know, loved my hubby dearly, nothing I wouldn't have done for him, actually waited on him hand and foot, even got his clothes out in the morning, in the winter would fluff them up so they'd be toasty for him to put on..honestly I did..lol..not because I had to but because I wanted to..way my grandmother brought me up..BUT...now being alone and doing exactly as I please, when I please, how I please got to say it's not all bad...lonely here and there but I'll say like Jeff, when I think I want to be with someone, I go to lunch with the married people for the week and that about does my longing for companionship....lol

He did pay back part of it, but, for example, he wanted a $10,000 foundation for $1,000 and that's not going to happen. He also didn't pay Dave for his time, effort, gas, and complained about how much products cost. The house still is only about half finished because Dave can't work on it anymore, I had to put my foot down on that one too! Dave's problem is he knows his family will kill them with their demands but he won't tell them no, then he tells me that I'm non-confrontational.

That's a bunch of BS anyway Betty, the very day he got his 60 day notice he told me he was going to CA to party come Jan 1st, and I looked at him and told him he wasn't going without me, so once a month we have to go through this I guess. What sucks is this non-confrontational person is going to pack a suitcase and throw it at him and tell him that I don't need this added stress and to get the hell out.

It's not the visit with you that he's complaining about, it's the Round Ups and everything. Even the 3 day trip I took to CA he's complaining about, he says that he doesn't tell me I can't go so I can't tell him he can't go, but what he does and what I do are completely different, I'm not out there for the party or to be screwed over by family members.

Looks like you've got major issues going on Crissy..some stemming back to before the layoff...discussions (won't say fights) are hard to get beyond once the waters have calmed... what is spoken in hurt can never be taken back...so 'sweetie' take time, maybe even sleep on what you want to say to him..you are both under a lot of stress and worry..tomorrow might be a brighter day..

Got a call just before I left, Bernie and Charlene were on their way to pick up her new car..exciting for her I'm sure...he had borrowed $4K from my mom yesterday to pick up flooring because his bank is an independent bank and he couldn't withdraw $$ from the city, said as I was going to pick mom up tomorrow for Buffalo I'd save him a trip..they wouldn't be home but he'd leave a check for her on his truck seat...

Check was there but also an envelope saying "Happy Birthday Betty - Love Bernie and Charlene" told him no way I want him to buy me a Wii..note with $$$ said, surely a brother/SIL can give a sister something for her birthday can they not? Can't win can I????

He may just need a bit of TLC and some direction to manage control of the job situation...

Thanks Mary, hadn't thought of it that way..Charlene got my message when they got home last night and called, I told them I'd be dropping in this morning, little packet I had to return..said their feelings would be hurt if I did..past couple years I made sure they had birthday and Christmas gifts and now they felt it was their time to treat me...buying something I'd like on my Buffalo trip today would thrill them..guess I'm shopping...

Up early, packing, say that the weather will co-operate..Aunt Muriel will meet me at the office at 3:00..am hoping to pick up mom and get out of Dodge before the Friday night traffic starts..if all goes well should cross the border around 7:30 or so..

Getting odds/ends together for a few swaps I'm in, mail them from USA side, much quicker...

My daughter, Lisa will have surgery on her arm Tues. at Centennial in Nashville. She has nerve damage and can barely use her hand. I will go take her IF Wayne says my tires will make the trip. I was informed my two rear tires are almost bald when I had the oil changed Wed. Y'all pray for her, she has a MEGA breathing problem, but the drs. have OKd her to have the surgery. She'll be in the hospital overnight, and I'll stay with her for a few days, as she wont be able to take care of herself.

Let's hope the operation does the trick Audrey..you'll feel better being there with her..worry about you though travelling with bad tires..do you have to worry about weather conditions? When operation is done do they say she'll regain use of her hands? so many questions...

Prayers for your daughter, Audrey. I hope the surgery works!

Thanks for all the advice for Dave, what I need to do is sit down and write all my thoughts on paper, organize, write it out in normal English, and tell him how I feel because flailing about is childish, and I have a bad name calling habit that I don't want to do.

LOL, I hear that about dinner time, We have to give birdie something to munch too or she does let us know that she is being ignored!! Skittles loves mashed potato, she too will not eat oranges but lol she loves Lizlemmons!...OH, she has now discovered push pins can be pulled out, yikes and her favorite chew is the bulletin board, hence always getting chased and caged, lol got to figure out what I can obscure it with.

Well, glad I brought my gps with me (omg who knows where I'll end up now) major highway closure just up the road..closed both north and southbound...fatalities, say it won't open for another 6-10hrs. - you have to ask why, it's blue sky, no wind, no snow, perfect day, roads are bare...first thing that comes to mind are the families who will get these calls...
