It seems really cold outside. It is 20 degrees now but with wind chill it feels like 9 degrees. I believe it!

Venice, I think you and I get the same weather fronts, its colder than an ice cap in Alaska here! Supposed to be back to 50 tomorrow. Up and down like a roller coaster it is.

We won't see 50 degrees for a long long time! It is only to get colder here throughout this next week.

I am not having a lot of luck, but trying.
I have stopped taking one of my meds for awhile. It was like an amphetimine. I didn't lose weight on it really but didn't gain alot either. I have been taking them for 6 yrs or so and wanted to stop for awhile and see if I could function.

Lynnie I find time and the real problem is I don't eat meals. Grab ( boy I hope Dave's not lurking around) soda and donuts, candy bar for breakfast, stop at gas station grab bag of chips to eat in car between clients, grab one for way home. Then when I get home I'm hungry and grab some more junk before cooking supper.

I truly am a junkfood junkie. and being in the house all the time I munch all the time.

Has anyone ever known anyone who belongs to that Direct Buy Showroom?(It's on TV here all the time)

We have a neighbor who belongs and i have been considering joining. Greg had damage to his house in NO from Katrina. He said Direct Buy saved them about 20 grand in out of pocket costs.

I have been doing some looking on internet about them, but so far I have found some real negative comments. Looks like maybe if you aren't building a house or use to buying top dollar items it wouldn't be worth it.
It supposedly cost about $5600 to join.

So I was just wondering, hard to sort out fact from fiction on the net sometimes.

Wow. I was not aware it was so expensive to join. I guess you are right, you need a large expenditure to make it worth it.

I have heard it's a rip off, but you gotta check it out for yourself, I'm sure for some situations like Moon's friend it's a lifesaver. Google it, you'll get lots of opinions. I know a few people who joined.
JJ you gotta just keep healthy stuff handy to eat....hard boiled eggs are quick to grab in the morning, a yogurt (I throw in a handful of chocolate chips so it's a treat) a banana or wheat toast with peanut butter....quick & easy in the morning. Cut up fruit at night so you can have some in the morning. Buy the bags of salad so you can throw leftover chicken on salad in one minute, quicker than opening a bag of chips ;) I also keep power bars handy, I have one in my locker at work for those 12 hour days. A peanut butter sandwich on wheat equals one perfect protein, quicker & more healthy than stopping at the store for a donut, cheaper too. I even put peanut butter on my apples, it's like a caramel apple treat ;)

The initial cost and from what I'm reading you order from a catalog (they don't have the items there to even see) says I don't think it's for me. Like to touch what I am buying.
But I'm sure for some it may be worth it.

Lynnie I read every word, now help. don't like hard boiled eggs, one banana is not going to fill me up( neither does 1 donut, always 2 or 3), don't ike wheat bread.
Yogurt I can do but they are so small.
Peanut butter does not taste like caramel. Peanut butter has to have jelly with it.

I did buy a fresh pineapple and eat it. :)

Got to head to work be back this afternoon for my tongue lashing. lol
