Well tonight we had leftovers.

Bowl of homemade broccoli and pasta soup

and a veal cutlet sandwich topped with chopped sugar sweet cherry tomatoes with drizzled with a balsamic and honey dressing.

It was yesterday's dinner but yesterday the veal was on a plate with veggies and the broccoli and pasta soup was yesterday's lunch.

Got home late tonight from work so glad for the leftovers.

My kids have been sick so I was too busy getting the humidifier cleaned and going out for more medicine to come back and post last night! I made Baked Stuffed Penne with Mini Meatballs. It takes a bit of work to get together, but I did it early in the day so that I could just stick it in the oven when I got home from work. I always make it in two 8x8 baking dishes and freeze one so I can have one for another time. We never finish the whole 8x8 dish in one night anyway : )

Sorry to hear, Meredith. My little one has a cough for months that just won't stop. Thinking some kind of indoor allergy is possible.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Months of a cough!? Man that isn't good. My kids have a cough with fever, my older one is past the fever now. We'll see how long the cough lingers. We all had something similar a week before Thanksgiving. It was worse though, I thought it was the swine flu. The doctors didn't seem to think we needed to verify that though.
School is half day today so I'll get done early. Thinking about putting some country style spare ribs in the slowcooker in an hour or so. Have to bring dd to dance class in 15 min.

Oooo, yum, ribs.
Hope your kids feel better soon.

Victor is the cough just a little annoying one, like from post nasal drip? I found that the dry air in the house makes the kids' noses work overtime to keep the nasal passages moist. I put a humidifier in my son's room, his nose was so dry he kept getting nose bleeds.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Been both, Jen. That type, but a more wet one at others. I did the humidifier already. Hasn't helped. Just bought kids' Zyrtec.

I just read the beginning of that sentence and was like "what?!" I forgot what the heck we were talking about.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Were we talking?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Maybe the pellet stove is drying out the air too much.

- Corned beef w/ white rice and steamed Asparagus.

Hillsborough, NC(Zone 7b)

honey spicy shrimp, brown rice, steamed broccoli. (courtsey of local restaurant)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thought about that, WC. But the humidifier did not help. Also, it started before the heating season.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks Jen! Victor I hope you figure out what's bothering them! I hope they aren't developing an allergy. I totally screwed up my plan on making the spare ribs. Dh made some bacon and I made some boiled eggs. It's a long story as to how exactly this happened but I didn't have my keys when I got back to my car at work and had to get a ride back and forth, then still take my car home. Ugh at least I have the day off tomorrow. :)
