We went out for a late lunch fish fry after skiing.
What's for dinner part 4
Usually fish night here, but I'm changing it up and we're eating Greek gyros with FF & salad.
love those
LOVE Gyros
Gee, I wish I could pass some around! lol! - I use the yogart sauce, (great stuff, the guys are really Greek so they know how to make it good! ☺)
We have a couple Greek restaurants here that are pretty good.
Great ones in Astoria! No meat today for us.
Yeah, I usually go for the fish, but I did some good deeds this week so I accumulated enough points to eat some meat today... (lol)
I thought they got rid of that rule.
Not during Lent.
Jen if he is ever in Neptune there is a place called Pete & Elda's .. the thinnest crust pizza I have ever seen.. I can eat almost a whole pie by myself... you fold it. and it shatters!!!!!.. wow is it good
Wow 44 days w/o meat! (yeah right, lol!)
Love those thin crusts not many know how to make it anymore! I go out of my way to go get one like that every Sat...
Randy and I stopped there to pick up a few pies and bring them home for us & Michele (babysitting our dogs)... we didn't even get 10 mins from the place and we had to start eating.. the luscious smell got us
Only on Fridays.
DH only has us do that Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Mom doesn't care for fish, so we never did that as kids.
I don't like fish either (except for tuna) so it's always a challenge, but there is pasta, salads, eggs, etc. No big deal to do 7 or 8 days a year! We go meatless one or two days a week anyway.
I don't know about your parish Victor but they allow us to eat chicken or fish now. I like most fish so it was never a problem for me. Having Salmon today as a matter of fact.
Chicken? Wow - have to look into that.
pizza last night using a new dough recipe - very good
Am drooling over the pizzas! Tuna & mac salad for us tonight.
Made Cajun Talipia, Salmon baked with Dijon mustard, italian seasoning, and lemon juice. Baked tatoes with sour cream & bacon bits, garden salad, loaf of french bread, and fresh pea's. Dessert was your choice of Turtle Cookie bars, Bumble-Berry Pie w/Vanilla Ice cream or both. ^_^
Nice menu! I'd go with the Salmon & pie w/ ice-cream! lol!
Thats exactly what DH picked WC. lol

Please let us know the dough recipe if it is a good one. Thanks.
Oh, Pixie---Turtle Bars---yum!
DH made steak salad and beef flavered rice last night. He's thinking about pork ribs tonight.
picked up a rotisserie chicken while we were at costco .. no cooking for me
Rib-eye steaks w/ baked potato and salad
Mealoaf, red skinned baby potaotes, fresh carrots and yeast rolls. Dessert is left over from last night. ^_^
Wow Another nice menu!!
Thank you Sir, but id rather have rib eye..it's my favorite!
lol! I haven't made meatloaf in about 2yrs! esp like the idea of the baby reds! next time I'll put some with olive oil in the oven before the ribeye cooks! lol!
I love meatloaf, I make it 2 different ways, one with tomato sauce and the other with brown gravy
On to part 5.....

BA - dough recipe was fantastic - pizza was great the next day - tonight we made a small lough of bread that was awesome - it was in mother earth magazine that a friend gave us.

I don't want you to go out of your way...I just have a "jones" for great pizza, like most others!
(I think oven temperature, getting it really hot, has something to do with some of the great pizza I've had in my life. A good dough recipe couldn't hurt, too...lol.)
