S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

We went out for a late lunch fish fry after skiing.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

LOVE Gyros

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Gee, I wish I could pass some around! lol! - I use the yogart sauce, (great stuff, the guys are really Greek so they know how to make it good! ☺)

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

We have a couple Greek restaurants here that are pretty good.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great ones in Astoria! No meat today for us.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Yeah, I usually go for the fish, but I did some good deeds this week so I accumulated enough points to eat some meat today... (lol)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I thought they got rid of that rule.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not during Lent.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Jen if he is ever in Neptune there is a place called Pete & Elda's .. the thinnest crust pizza I have ever seen.. I can eat almost a whole pie by myself... you fold it. and it shatters!!!!!.. wow is it good

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Wow 44 days w/o meat! (yeah right, lol!)

Love those thin crusts not many know how to make it anymore! I go out of my way to go get one like that every Sat...

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Randy and I stopped there to pick up a few pies and bring them home for us & Michele (babysitting our dogs)... we didn't even get 10 mins from the place and we had to start eating.. the luscious smell got us

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Only on Fridays.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

DH only has us do that Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Mom doesn't care for fish, so we never did that as kids.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I don't like fish either (except for tuna) so it's always a challenge, but there is pasta, salads, eggs, etc. No big deal to do 7 or 8 days a year! We go meatless one or two days a week anyway.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I don't know about your parish Victor but they allow us to eat chicken or fish now. I like most fish so it was never a problem for me. Having Salmon today as a matter of fact.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Chicken? Wow - have to look into that.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

pizza last night using a new dough recipe - very good

Thomaston, CT

Am drooling over the pizzas! Tuna & mac salad for us tonight.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Made Cajun Talipia, Salmon baked with Dijon mustard, italian seasoning, and lemon juice. Baked tatoes with sour cream & bacon bits, garden salad, loaf of french bread, and fresh pea's. Dessert was your choice of Turtle Cookie bars, Bumble-Berry Pie w/Vanilla Ice cream or both. ^_^

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I don't want you to go out of your way...I just have a "jones" for great pizza, like most others!

(I think oven temperature, getting it really hot, has something to do with some of the great pizza I've had in my life. A good dough recipe couldn't hurt, too...lol.)
