WOW rides through the Gypsy Camp

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Dixie, can't remember if it was you or Flowers mentioning the salt flats.

Saw a really good movie (from that books, movies, tv forum) called "The World's Fastest Indian" with Anthony Hopkins. Really good, true story. One of his finest performances. If anyone is looking for a good movie, that's one.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I love Storyville....so much good music has been played there. That seems to be true of a lot of old redlight districts....grin I like Robbie Robertson too.

For me it is zydeco/mardi gras music. But then, nothing says party like mardi gras music...grin

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Hi everyone,hope you're all having a good day,already 8.30 here,how time flies.Had a busy day,worked till 1pm and then had some shopping to do which I couldn't do at the small shops here in Dronfield.Would usually go to Chesterfield,nearest larger town,but decided to take train to big city:}.....Sheffield,about 6 or 7 miles North of me.Famous place in UK for steel production.Cold, damp weather,so best time to be in large shops,instead of outside.
By the way....Baby Swiss what?,only thing that springs to mind is cheese,Edam,Gouda,etc or chocolate,or clocks,Swiss make a lot of watches and clocks:}

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi Joy, I think they are talking about cheese.
It's blowing and snowing here. I have had enough.
DH is home think I will work on him getting something done in the kitchen.
Said he was going to drywall the ceiling but I see no drywall...Can't wait for the excuse. lol

Dronfield, United Kingdom

JJ,I know what you mean,Ive been waiting a "little " while for my DH to mend the outside light on the drive,so we can see to unlock the back door without having to do it by feel:}
It's not too cold here tonight,about 32f,but damp, so does feel colder.We've no more snow forecast for near future,if weather forecasters can be believed:}
Thanks,I think it's cheese they meant too :}
Have a good evening JJ,hope you manage to sort out DH,I'm just going to see if there's anything good on TV.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Have a good night Joy.

Ship him out is more like it.LOL He has been home most of the day due to weather and he waits until I get home and GS should be getting off bus any minute and NOW he decides to empty the cupboard and take them down. Right before homework and supper.

Sawdust burgers for supper anyone????

That was not the something done I wanted right this minute...arrg

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Seems they could at least once in a great while do what you ask them to do....grin How are you supposed to cook with everything out of the cupboards?

Have a sweet evening Joy.Hope your weather continues to improve.

JJ...winter "inhales hugely"....grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

It blows pretty darn good too! What a set of lungs it has.

Of course I was suppose to read his mind and have all the cookbooks off the shelf.
Why don't I have anything moved? Why did I move the stuff from that corner? Should have known he would start over here. lol
I can't hardley keep a straight face. Trying not to laugh at him but it is soooo hard.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

But if you do laugh....Katie bar the door the fight is on! LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

It was so funny when I was listening to the news a little while ago. They were showing stores that had new colts champion t-shirts after the game on Sunday and all kinds of colts things including, baby seats, thongs, etc.! And you can't believe all the blue colts stuff people have. One man said he would have to build a new room for all of his colts things!

Saturday evening I saw a lady at the grocery store. She had on a colts t-shirt, colts jacket, colts scarf, a goofy colts hat, and some other things that I can't remember. The hat was like a wide colts head band with blue hair sticking up from the top! Like those little weird troll dolls! She looked really really funny!

We had a little snow today but not much. You can still see the grass. They say 2 inches by Thursday. We'll see.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I read that when you plant new seeds you should keep them between 75 and 85 degrees. They even suggested putting them in the oven with only the light on, but not the oven of course. I put a thermometer in the oven with the light on last night and this morning it said about 81 degrees. The seeds will be out of the way in a constant environment. I think that is a cool idea as long as you don't use your oven a lot.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Venice, that's how they are in Boston with The Red Sox, only all the time. Fanatics, they are! I'm glad your team won.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Look what I found
This is sort of what I had in mind.....smaller appliances and mine would go around right hand corne not the left.

That is a neat idea about the oven. Bet your seed babies will be snug and happy in there.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Darn thing didn't work right. Click the last picture in the second row.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Which pic JJ? I got 16 of them to look at...grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Wow. That is really nice. Just tell DH this and a pantry/broom closet please. Grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Well he said he needed a picture.
I don't usually care for the cabinets that go to the ceiling so I already told him they had to look more decorative on top and not just look like the cabinet was one big long thing.
I have a thing for crown molding too. Love it..

Still working on the pantry/ broom closet. grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good luck...may take a steak and a couple lessons from "That Video". but I am sure you will get your way one way or the other....grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Gotta go do the supper thing....grin. I will try to get a new thread up later tonight or in the morning....sees ya.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

If I have to resort to "That Video" I'm getting more than a broom closet. LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

For dinner I am making soup with leftover broth from freezer, garlic, onion, barley, cabbage, carrots, peas, and corn. I am getting hungry!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Ummm that soup sounds good Venice! JJ I love that layout, now kick DH in gear to get it done. Good luck on that one :-) My brain hurts, I've been finigally and finaggling all day Whewwww! Hey Smiley saw where you were talking about vcr tapes of kids. I took all my family tapes and had them converted onto cd's or dvd's whatever those things are. I didn't want to lose them and some were getting scratchy like and was afraid they were gonna break. Hi Everybody, hope you all have had a good day!

(Zone 5b)

Poor Lynnie, too tired to eat!!

(Zone 5b)

I'm getting a headache so I figured I better eat no matter how tired i am lol I just put some chicken to reheat in the toaster oven. I had lunch at noon.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

This is what the DH had in mind. And then he said he could put the pantry on the sides of the firelace chimney. One on each side to keep it balanced.
Isn't he amazing...LOL

JJ, here are some cabinets with a simple cornice. I know these cabinets are not like yours but the idea of a cornice looks nice.

this one is more contemporary but you get the idea (yours would be more traditional I'm sure, to match your house style)
