Sorry to hear, Louise.
What have you ordered 2010 #2.
so sorry Louise.. want to take a chance and me send you more???
Sorry to hear about the coleus and tomato plants Louise. It must be disappointing after trying so hard to protect them. Hopefully all the cold temps are gone for good down there now.
This really is a dangerous thread, I may have to find a spot for g. Biokovo. Its on the late spring list.
Received Brent and Becky's summer flowering bulbs catalog yesterday.
does anyone have Hymenocallis(Peruvian Daffodil)?
http://www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com/summer/genus.php?genusid=95
Got mine yesterday too.
Not looking! Love the Peruvian daffs. Wish they were hardy here. I guess a pot of them would work. That 'Sulphur Queen' is very nice. Okay stop looking.
Sorry about your plants Louise, hope it stays warm for now on. :(
Thanks to you all for your kind commiserating with me.
Allison, I'm assuming your babies may just get big enough by the time we're getting ready to head back up. You are so very sweet to offer your first borns though. :) I'm heading to Lowes tomorrow and will scope out the stock there and at HD. The sad part to me was that the biggest plant I lost was one I had nurtured all summer in NH and then brought down here. It was gorgeous. But that's the negative part of the snowbird world. As Hank tells me all the time, I shouldn't get so attached to my plants! This time I will not be able to transport ANY plants now that we have the girls taking up the whole back seat. They're worth it, so I just have to be tough and let go when it comes time.
GROWTH!! Yippee!!!!
even my OCD was shocked when I peeked in
I just placed an order with Caladiums 4 less, I just had to look at their offerings, didn't I???
edited for extra letter that I don't remember typing...lol

And quite a few lilies from a new wholesaler, Mak lilies in Oregon. There are very few US companies that hybridize and grow their own lilies, and it was exciting to see a new one. I also buy from The Lily Garden which grows and hybridizes their own, and I hope to buy from Buggy Crazy this year. I have nothing against imported lilies, but I think it's exciting we have a new hybridizer and grower right here in the US.
So I'm done until the new beardless iris catalogues come out. And then that's it.
Great selection Polly
Gee thanks Jo Ann. LOL.
(Jo Ann is going to share some astilbes and lilies with me. She's been putting together her famous collages for me to help me decide varieties. )
One thing I decided to increase are astilbes, they make such a nice cut flower with roses, or lillies and astrantia.
gorgeous JoAnn
ditto - gotta have the last ones!!
Very nice you two. Like all the selections specially the astilbe.
I said the same thing Deb, when I was trying to decide which lilies to get, and then Jo Ann put together the pictures, wow. And if I can add a Japanese iris or two in, I'll be really happy.
The Younique astilbes are new, but they're readily available. They're short, and I think they will be great in the garden.
Beautiful! I can't wait to see your garden pictures this year.
nice joann!
