Hehehehe... Nooooo kibbles here LK!
It's some tuna!!! Lolol!!!
Sis Kathy called.. asked what I was doing, and I told her the same..
She screamed "WHAT???"
My fur babies are very spoil. I feed them tuna, mackerel and salmon, canned for human consumption.
Want some?? Delicious with a little chopped eggs!
(Chinese take out tonight, btw)
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞179
Translation: Kel is taking this Chinese out!!!!
LOL love the Chinese take out. Only you, Jaye, could come up with that!!!
Yes, you might say my sister is learning all about microwaves but Mom is insisting she learn to cook other things like potatoes, roast, vegetables. She has always lived within a couple of miles of Mom and always ate at her house--now Mom lives with her and she is now chief cook and bottle washer. Will she use the dishwasher? NO--to stubborn --says she doesn't know how it works. Ha! load it, put in washing soap, push on--doesn't take a genius.
Taking break from phone and paper work--hard to do those things when the sun is shining so nicely but still uncomfortable to be outside.
Nope, no skinny dipping in the lake first it is to cold, second I like having all my appendages on me rather in a gator's mouth.
But Mom.. she's 65 years old... and you don't want to jolt your tummy do you???? First check the med. cabinets before you take that first bite. Make sure she didn't throw any happy pills in your dinner!
Same here Maid M. Beautiful outside, need to walk Hambone, but he can wait till Kel returns!!
Pegi, I have this load of unused tools for the next and the next craft project... think I'll just stick to sewing right now. At least I know where the sewing machines are!!
I am envisioning our industrious Barb now... re sorting her stash to make more bears or bunnies.. OR... running to the store to get more fabric.
Don't you all dare introduce her to Facebook. Her 'kids' are certainly waiting on those cuddly friends.
Grrrr....had a post all ready and everything froze!! So waving to all, I will never remember most of what I wrote before....
Spent from ten last night until after two AM at the ER.....Laura had an allergic reaction to something and broke out in a rash, they wanted to make sure it wasn't her new meds causing it. As of now all is well except we are all tired and have no brains to speak of....good house cleaning day if I can come up with the energy. Gray outside, low fifties and raining.....
Marion, watch out for those 'gators....don't think I would be taking a dip there either.
Went to one of our favorite Asian Markets when we were up North yesterday....had the most fantastic stirfry (Veggies and Fried Tofu) and Hot and Sour Soup for dinner last night! May have re-runs for either lunch or dinner today.
Baby Clouds is such a beautiful yarn!! I can't wait to see a picture of that project....sounds yummy! I picked up four skeins of "Homespun" in an incredible blue color yesterday...haven't decided what I want to do with it yet. Several years ago I did a double Bedspread in an Oatmeal and Green...lap work, just did a lot of 12" granny square type squares then put them all together. It was a lot of work but turned out great!
~~~~Deborah!!!!~~~~ So good to see ya popping in again...we have missed you.
I need to get up and get something done....check in with you later.
Hey Jaye, we are having take out tonight also. We have one place that is called Jitra Thai, and the food is really good. I like just about anything that is not too hot, Todd likes the spicey bulgogi, and the kimche! (Don't know how it it spelled) Oh boy, just talking about it makes my mouth water! Then I will pick up some lucky lottery tickets, and win big tonight! Well, I can dream anyways! LOL!
Marion, no gators here thank God! I don't think I could share any space with them! YUCK! You can keep them.
Trisha, so sorry to hear she has a rash. Maybe it is from her nerves, worring about her job interview? I do that too sometimes! Hope she is better today?
i'm making braised beef brisket
Brisket! Passing my plate...please.
LK it was a combination of nerves and meds... I haven't heard from them today so all must be well or SIL would have given me a call before he left for work.
Oh man, brisket sounds really good! Holding out my plate!
Trisha, glad to hear she is better today!
So sorry to learn that of Laura's break out. Hope it's just her nerves, Trisha.
LOVE Bulgogi LK! No Korean restaurants here and the Thai restaurants don't include Korean dishes, but do serve Sushi.. imagine that!
Sis Kathy, you JUST GOT TO BRING THAT UP!!!!
Hope you got potato salad to go with that! :=P
Trying to finish Debra's block, and I have that feeling, this is going to be one challenging block. How did you and Maid M do it, LK??
Problem is, my back's giving out on too much standing at one spot.
Oh well... relief is coming soo. Off to WM, pick up some more tuna for the babies, then off for a good Sonic's bacon cheeseburger.
No frets there Bon..it's once a month thang..
Later ladies.
That block was not easy!
I will have to go back and look at the block I did it so long ago. You know about old age and feeble minds. LOL
Off to make last mail run to PO with last batch of bills for the vendors who pre registered. Whee, glad that is over with!!!!!
The faster I go the further behind I get--spelling is shot!!!
Just did, Thanks.
Catching up with my reading:
Andy and wife are now in my prayers, nothing fun about a marriage in trouble, nothing good from splitting up, unless, like Nana once said, "God had nothing to do with that marriage, it was your own pigheadedness that got you into this." In which case, best to split but even that is exceedingly painful. So in my prayers either way.
Trisha! WHOOO HOOO!! Laura got the job!! Happy Day! (doing a happy dance!)
But...just found out from Randall that his boss is quitting, and he doesn't even have a job lined up - at least, if he does, he's not saying. He's told Randall quietly that the company really prefers employees be inhouse. Randall telecommutes. so.....he'll have to start looking. It was a start up anyway, and he was promised this huge raise 16 months ago which evaporated into thin air with the change to the economy. So now it's our turn to "start looking" ah me.
Waving~~~~
Busy busy day today, State budgets being cut, I don't know details just that. I guess it's time to start doing what Dave has already been through. Joy!!!
LOL Jaye, I don't know why that room is so cold in the winter and hot in the summer, must be because it's the only room with vaulted ceilings and a big window on top of the window that doesn't have any window coverings on it. And it's just a small bedroom.
Well I got to get back to work, Love Ya'll!!
Cindy, I've had some weirdness on the dating scene. You are doing it right, trying them all out.
About the weirdest things that happened to me dating in my late 30s were: meeting a guy through personals who was so dumb he didn't get that we couldn't keep dating...until I explained that since I had gotten remarried and immediately gotten pregnant, my husband would beat him up if he kept calling - NOT, but he hadn't met Randall so he couldn't tell that was just a ruse. One met through dating service really wanted to sell me unmounted jewelstones: I didn't appreciate a date becoming a sales pitch. Another one met through my hometown neighborhood hired me as a maid, which I did twice for the $ when I was single mom, but then he really wanted a BJ or HJ, which he didn't get and his maid services ended right there. About the only one that I almost could not handle was meeting a UNC-CH prof through the personals, who invited me over for a gourmet meal on a first date (I was so naive) and proceeded to try to get my clothes off after the appetizer - I was out the door before the main course!
The divorce courts in NC must favor women with kids (I didn't divorce here) because a lot of guys I met thought I really had $$ because I had kids. 3 tried to get me to invest in their business or business scheme. I was broke, and I was up front about it and having kids. I learned FAST - if they need help at this age with paying their half of the restaurant tab, wave goodby forever. If they wanted $$, the date ended. I was very guilible - a great many dates ended these ways. I couldn't believe it!
A lot of men older than me had the attitude that if they had a house, I was going to be easy because that's what I was after. And a huge # of men thought I'd just be gratiful for any attention from a male. I made a study of the men I dated, and came to the conclusion that not a single one of them had a single clue how women think or feel. The one I point out the most was a fella that I worked with. He literally was "fishing" with the wrong bait for the type of woman he wanted. When he had one "on the line" he ignored her at an office party and chased a younger co-worker from another department in front of her. He couldn't figure out what had happened to his romance! LOL I watched it all, and just had to laugh. Had another one that started only coming round when the kids were gone that I'd thought I'd gotten rid of. When faced headon to the question of "what happened to you?" he announced to me that I'd fallen in love with him too early and that he'd given "us" some space. He was one of my 1st experimental dates - darn, I thought I'd dropped him hard enough. Him I shoved out the door while trying not to bust a gut laughing - darned if he didn't call again a year later!
Now, y'all have to remember, I'm no spring chicken and I'm no looker. The thing I had going for me was I'd tell them "not going to remarry." It was like catnip to kitty for these men. All I was trying to do was learn about men so I'd figure out where I'd gone wrong with 1st one! Figured it out all right. This time, I did right, even if I wasn't trying to do it at all at the time! LOL
Evening Ladies ~ Huggs to you all
My day was better today and we actually had alittle bit of business at the shop. My arch enemy (old grouchy Bob) only did 3 haircuts and complained all day so I just kept smiling and telling him he could always retire.. lol His wife is a nurse and he doesnt have to work I really think he now only stays to annoy me so I just kill him with kindness every chance I get unless he gets rude with me then I LET HIM HAVE IT.. :)
I have been working on Tonys Quilt soe more and I think I may need to go see if they have anymore flame fabric as I only have a few square left.. Still need to sew a few together as I just went ahead and sewed in 2's instead of all 4 but Im running out fast.. I guesss I under estimated the amount it would take by a Margin ~
Well gotta get upstair here in a few to dish out some ho chili for dinner.. Its loaded with deer, chili beans, onions, jalapeno peppers, red & green bell peppers and grilled tomatoes chunks.. Bound to be yummy...
Synda.........if you EVER get that thing done, we are going to have a sleepover!...........Personally, I think it is big enough already to put on the bed.........and ladies...........it is absolutely beautiful! Synda laughs at my crocheting because all I ever get done are little bells...no bigger than Christmas ornament size and then I get bored because it never makes that straight chain it is supposed to do. lol
ah me. still not done reading - y'all are just too fun to skim through, you know that?
but....does anyone want a cat?? she's learned not to climb tall trees, but at least we probably know now why the old dog went a bit bezerk with her - yup. she's in her first heat and driving us bonkers. we can't let her out. gotta get her fixed. with Randall's job up in the air, gotta say that it can't be at our vet, who charges a FORTUNE for anything. Meanwhile, I caught cold today at the Y. decided to forgo the hot tub. wished I hadn't, because the sauna door is broken so off, the steamroom was just warm, the bathroom and locker rooms were icy, and there was no hot water for a shower. But then realized that if I'd gone in the hot tub, I would have had to shower that intense chlorine off. Yuck. Anyway, came home still chilled and now I've got sniffles. And Hope, the dog, has had two epilepsy seizures in the last four days. She used to only get them in hot weather.
My belly is full, I'm heading for bed early. sweet dreams y'all.
Hey Bon, Crissy, Donna, Julie. How are you all doing?
Bon, sounds like you had you share of loosers for dates. Boy, could we all write a book on men! LOL! Sorry to hear your not feeling well.
Crissy, sorry to hear the State is cutting back, does that mean you may be laid off, or is your job secure?
Donna, how much fabric did you start out with. Quilts do take yards of fabric, but it all depends on the size you want it.
Good night everyone. Stay warm.
Wow Bonjon, I thought I had it bad.......I just pick the losers thinking I can fix them...they come out on top and I wind up with the shaft! (at least that is how it seems most of the time) I swore off men for a while....(anyone know of any single garden guys looking for....lol.....just kidding!)
Ladybarber, that chili sounds yummy.......I can no longer put peppers in mine because the kids won't eat it if I do. And I don't want to make two batches because I will eat it all!
Take care all, keep warm and safe........prayers going out to you who are feeling under the weather....
julie
Morning everyone!
How about some fresh hot coffee, and a breakfast taco? potatoes, bacon and cheese.
i'm up for a taco, thanks linda
Morning Sis!
How are you feeling?
Where is everyone? Wake up, it is time for roll call!
i feel ok, just can;t keep my eyes open this morning. it's a cold 24 degrees here
Brrr... Have another cup of coffee!
It is 50 here, with a light rain.
Just enough from keeping me hanging up the wet clothes on the clothes line!
Oh well.
coffes great! gonna rain here saturday. i need to get out and weed my flower beds. wish it would warm up a wee bit
Morning!!!
Well, LK, there's a long long story behind it that I'm not going to post here, but when budgets are being cut no one's job is secure. We're a department of 12 people so they can't cut too many of us out.
My coffee isn't working this morning, my body isn't working this morning, and I'm feeling broke. Ug.
I'm going to get back to work here so I'll see ya'll later!
does any of my fabulous sistah's have 4 o'clocks?
I had some pink ones last year! So pretty, I hope they come back?
Crissy, put some Bailey's in that cup! That will make you feel better.
sissy linda, will you dig me up a tuber when they come up this spring? please
sure thing!
Good Wednesday everyone!
Sorry I was MIA last night. I'm right now right in Sis Kathy's pain alley---
my back gave out on me.
So.. taking it reallll slow the rest of the day.
Think I'll grab that coffee LK, thanks.
And yes 4 0'clocks are beautiful.
Weeds can wait, heal your back first Sis Kathy!
Donna.. woohooo... got you a yard of that flaming fabric, kinda very bright orange with black? There's only precisely a yard and 2 inches left at the local WM.
Hope it's the same. Will include that in the package.
Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhh... now my shoulders and neck muscles are feeling some tightness.
I'm off visiting the other threads. Notice what I wrote on FB?? Lolol!!
Oh by the way... you are indeed a cutie pie, Maid Marion!!
Hey Sis, Isaw you on facebook!
Hope your feeling better. Sounds like you need a hot tub, to soak all those aches and pains away?
G'morning, all!
Just popped in to see how everyone's doing.
Take care of your backs, Kathy & Jaye!! That's an order!!!!!!! I'm so bossy, eh?
It's just that I love you both, and don't want any pain for you..... prayers are being said for you...
For everyone else (pained, or not, in whatever manner of pain you're in), Prayers are thoughts.......
Everyone here is always in my thoughts, even if I don't type/speak it. I hope you know that in the deepest recesses of your heart.
I'm heading out in 1 1/2 hours - church ladies meeting - I'm going to join the UCW group (United Church Women) and will be doing a lot of organizing, meetings, baking, cooking and cleaning for the church...... but being busy looks good on me, and keeps me young, doncha know?!?!
Spoke to my sister Alice last night. She sent a picture of herself accepting a cheque on behalf of the bank she works for, to give to the Cancer Society.
She's going for surgery @ 10:30 central time, on Monday the 18th.
Please pray for her. Here's her pic - she's the one in the (red?) top.
~Susan~
back pain is no fun.
Duh! Explain Miz Jaye--head thick today! LOL
I can imagine your mind racing... worrying over your sister, Susan.
(((((((((Tight HUGS)))))))) Take a deep breath, Lord's taking care of her and I'm praying He does ;)
Alice sure resembles you.
Now LK, you're addicted to the games too on FB, and Sis Kathy's on her way there!!!
Maid Marion, you asked me where did I find your 'pic'... the one I plastered on FB! Well, I just want you to know that you are a cute one!!!
Why is it when one is in physical pain, one's brain is slow, too?
Ahhhh... age!!
Just a quick check in and prayers for for all...Jaye take care...
have a lot of things I am trying to get done today, they come to work on the bathroom tomorrow!! Need to decide what I am going to do abut paint colors etc. when they are done....can't have new fixtures, everything working and look at that old icky paint.
Have a good, and warm afternoon everyone.....fifties and rain here...
