Got you Cookie!! Love you too Sistah!!

Barb, those bears are ADORABLE!!!!!!! My eyes go straight to the green one! Love the fabric.

LK, our great enabler :=P

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Fabric on the green is the ribbons for cancer fabric from last year. I always buy a bunch of fat quarters to support the cause...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Barb, love the bears! How cute. I used to make bunnies like that for Easter! Once you get them going, they go pretty quick!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

LK do you still have a bunny pattern? I'd love to make my girls bunnies for Easter.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Let me look through my stuff.
I will get back to you!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Barb, I have some bunny and little lamb patterns if you're interested.

Don't mean to step on any toes here. It's just that I have a lot of patterns and stuff and happy to share with any and all who would like copies.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Jaye, I got my beautiful fabric today. You know me too well or The Lord picked it out, one of the two. Thank you so much. So, I never did ask, what do I send you in return? LOL Duh, I must have missed that part. I will attempt to make a Sistah Lap Quilt. The fabric you sent is just too pretty for just a pillow. Thanks sweetheart. I hope I was supposed to post when I received it, cause I don't see anyone else that did post.

Love Ya girl

Just a quick check in---I have a very severe cold ---probably from being 4 days without heat. I have had to de-ice the fountain/statue every day for the last 3 day to keep the pump from freezing and the concrete from cracking. It looks like Thurs we will finally be out of the deep freeze.

Donna--the quilt looks great! Especially doing it by hand! Tony will love it! Give him and Tristen a hug for me, as well as Max---I miss all of you

Cindy--I hope you find the man of your dreams SOON!!! I have gotten where I can't trust any of them that I meet. Be very careful on the dating sites as well. I have never been on any but had a friend that wound up being severely stalked. Use care and don't settle for less than the best!!

LK--hope your son can work things out, They need to find out the root of any problems they are having and talk it out. If they truly love each other--Love will find a way!

I have not read thru all the posts, since it is getting toward bedtime but prayers for all in need!

Will try to catch up tomorrow

G'nite Ladies!!

Linda

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Deb, we have all posted and thanked Jaye for the beautiful fabric, I just can't wait to go and find fabrics to go with it! I am hoping to find fabric in Amarillo this week-end, when I go get my Dad.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

What a day! It was pouring rain when we left for Seattle this morning...rain and fog until after noon. But the good news is Laura Got The Job!!!!!! I hope it works out to be everything she wants and needs it to be!!

I just got home and I really need to get a cup of coffee and just sit and relax for a bit....as far as Seattle goes traffic was very good today....but even a good day of spending the day in Seattle traffic is tiring...

Can't wait to see what all of you do for quilts....sounds like so much fun.....for now will stick with my knit and crocheting....I am almost finished with my first brimmed hat!

Prayers for all in need...be safe, be warm....going to take a break for awhile.

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Trisha, that is great news that Laura got the job! Nice going!
Donna, sorry to hear that business is slow. Hopefully the weather will warm up soon for you.
Good night everyone.
Stay warm.
LK

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Our Cindy there has her own library on just crafts!

Congratulations Laura!!
That's an answered prayer Trisha. Lots of prayers went up for her, and we asked Him to arrange the best for her---not just a job.

That reminds me of what wise Susan has advised. Ask for the best!!!

Now Trisha, you have all spring, summer and fall to start a quilt project!
I know you'll enjoy working with fabric.

Twyla, stay warm please. Watch your bp too. Don't let stress gets you down. You're right He'll find a way to take care of our needs.

Linda, take care of yourself. We have drained our fountains in the fall, but then you didn't expect Florida to experience this kind of bitter weather! So sorry... Lots of WARM liquids. Stay indoors!

Chin up Donna. Tomorrow will be another day, and customers will be trekking in.

Sis Debbie. I am glad you like the fabric. Yes, some have received theirs. I have stated in previous post... do not send me anything.
Got one bolt to be shared with any sistahs willing to do a lap quilt.

Again----
"There's NO sending ANYTHING out to anyone. Use the fabric for YOUR OWN lap quilt.
You supply the rest of the fabrics, complementing or contrasting, and backing needed to finish the quilt.
Your own pattern, execute at your own pace. No deadline, no judgement, just share your progress with us."

LK, any hot chocolate your way??? Need to thaw out my feet!

Welllllllllllll good night LK... I'll fix my own chocolate!! See you tomorrow!!! Sleep well.. be warm!

Night everyone, headed back to my crocheting...

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

g'evening, dear sistahs!
Just a quick pop in to let you know I'm still up and about - Church Board meeting tonight, and it felt like all He** broke lose in the family! Yikers! I could have hugged some and scolded others!
We had a young church come to us and ask to share space (for a rental fee). They were such a young couple, and their church has just come to Canada - they have 30-50 people in their congregation, and it's being held in a 2-bedroom house! Our board agrees that we would like to help them - we just have to figure out the "ground rules" and make a contract so we're not trying to have our different services overlapping. It sounds like a wonderful opportunity to see how they have their services - They're from the Congo and speak a Congo-French or something like that..........

Jaye - who's this "wise Susan" you're referring to????? LOL I'm no more wise than the next person, I just babble more and longer LOL Y'know, if you say something with conviction, and ramble enuff, you'll sound good - try it!!! LOL

Dear precious Jaye, you sound like The Lord, and He is so kind and giving.

No pressure, no deadlines, no judgements, just share your progress.

Just relax and enjoy. Hmm Hmm Hmm..... What a mighty God we serve. He gives us peace that passes all understanding and never puts us under any pressure. He said, 'everything that we put our hands to, do it as unto The Lord' . He said that because He doesn't want us to be stressed. Can you just imagine, lovingly sewing a quilt for the Lord. My my. Ha, I know He would lovingly let us sit by His Throne , tenderly showing us how to make stitches we don't know how to make, and His eyes would sparkle with love, just because we want to make something special , just for Him. He was not only the first gardener, He was the first seamstress. Remember the coats He made for Adam and Eve. And the awesome, detailed, instructions He gave Moses on exactly what color and width and length He wanted the curtains for the tabernacle. He has exquisite taste. The inside of The tabernacle draperies were beautiful hand spun and dyed silks. The outside was burly, rough tent materials. The outside of the tabernacle did not look pretty or inviting, but once you passed through 'The Door', the inside was awesome.

Thank you Jaye, bet you didn't know when you cut my fabric, that I would receive it, as though it came straight from the Throne of my precious Father. Thank you for reminding me of the way The Lord taught me how to make drapery.

Debbie

Synda , I clapped when your son arrived safely LOL

Here I am, the night owl. I was so tired earlier I was just going to go straight to bed, but had to get on the computer for a little while. Well, that little while lasted hours. I did find the E-6000 glue in the craft department at Wal-Mart. It was $2.57, haven't had a chance to try it yet. We are supposed to get some rain, but even the weatherman can't give us much more than that. Sometimes the storms coming in take a turn and go to the other states. I still want to make some "flowers" from ceremic plates and I found a few more cute things at the thrift store today.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is on!
45 degrees here this morning, and hopefully a nice day!
Hope you all had a great nights sleep, and wake up feeling good and rested well!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm pouring me a cup Thanks Linda K! Yeppers, it's a nice day here too. Brisky but bright with the sunshining nicely.

Mornin' All ~~~~~~

Snow plows are running again.........Booo !!!!!!!!!! LOL
I am so ready for our Anniversary.......March 28th,that means spring is just around the corner.
Ryan seems to be in 7th heaven.Pray all goes well for him and he keeps up with his studies.
I should pick up an afghan I started 5 years ago,I usually work on it some each winter. It's just so big that is at that real awkward stage to handle. It is made from baby yarn called Baby Clouds and it is white and when finished will fit a King size bed plus hang over the sides.I want to get a Granny Crocheted Lace to put around the edges and Pink Embroidered Rose Ribbon to go where the Lace and Afghan are sewn together.I think I have talked myself into digging it out,I need a change of pace...........Good therapy !!!!

That afghan sounds sooo soft!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Very,Very soft !!!!!!!!!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

At first glance the afghan doesn't even look like it is made of yarn.

Morning Glory! Haven't read yet - again - but just wanted to check in with my sistahs before exercise class, and I have to go in a minute.

wanted to tell y'all about a miracle here on our street. Sunday night, right after dusk, and I was sitting in my chair thinking I hadn't done enough all day moving, Hope starts barking and barking. We heard noise outside and realize there's a firetruck slowing down in front of our house! Our neighbors, the ones we've had to help a few times recently, had their fire alarm go off and their alarm company had called the fire department. Seems she was about to start dinner and had already put a pot on the stove when they decided to go out to eat instead. He's had a stroke recently and is as weak as a baby, but other than a bit of slow uptake is all there mentally. However, she's very rattled of late. Anyway, the pan was a gonner. As a result, we now have their son's phone # - I had to call around and find it. There was no sign of fire on outside, so the fire company didn't break down their door or anything, but they couldn't leave until their son showed up. this is their 4th emergency in as many months. It's a miracle, truly, according to the fire department, that the pan didn't set anything else on fire. (Nana did this same thing and burned up her whole apartment.)

The Lord is telling me I have to pay attention and help these folks.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Ok got a couple thing to do on that addiction of mine FB.......and then to go get the afghan !

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Synda, Deborah, Bon, how are you all doing?
Synda, that afghan sounds really nice! Any pictures of it so far?
Oh my gosh Bob, your neighbors were so luck, to not have any more damage than that! My mom did that a few years ago, she was frying b acon, and forgot to turn off the stove, and then boom, the whole kitchen was on fire. Everyone got out OK, but really scared them. She got her kitchen remodel out of the ordeal!
Deborah, any updated pictures of that precious little one?

Glenview, IL

Hi..
Having some major computer issues!
just made a long post in BWL and poof it never entered!
so just testing and waiving.

Jaye, as stated Love my material, thank you.
How is Kel's belly burn? I hope it's healing.

So much to post, will have to type it up and past it but not until later.
DH is having knee surgery so will be gone all afternoon.

See ya's soon sistahs, have a wonderful day.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Helloooooooooooo Deborah!!!!! So good to see you posting and yes, we need update pictures of the little one!!!

Bon, my Mom had a similar accident many years ago but she left a pan of hot grease on the stove and went to answer the door. The cabinets had to be replaced but since then she is extremely, if not paranoid, about anything being left on the stove top. Now she isn't able to cook anymore due to age and her ability to get around. LOL finally at 63 my sister is having to learn!!

Warmer here this morning but still not where I would like it to be. I found a flower pot I have sitting outside full of what was water and is now frozen solid--about 10" --unbelievable for Florida.

Synda, please post pictures of the afghan--I would love to see it!! I am working on a small one for my GD at the moment--doll blanket type. I have some larger ones that need finishing that I have dug out since the weather has gotten cold. Great to put on lap while watching a movie.

There goes the phone again so I will check back later. Being bombarded with vendor calls regarding getting old locations back for festival.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Woooooooohooooooooooo!!!!
Deborah's here!! Yaaaaaaayyyy. Did you get your fabric?

I'll take that coffee LK. Hope you had a restful sleep. No pains waking you up.
Glad your family and you survive that kitchen fire!

Amen to your post Sis Debbie. He is one Awesome God. I can't do all by myself. With His patience, He finds ways to guide me through that narrow path, and make sure I stumble less.

Sistah Susan, that's very good news for your church. Those balance sheets will start to look better ;)
Congo eh? We all belong to Him, from all four corners of the earth.
Yes you're the wise one, said with conviction here. That matter we've talked about, Lord took care of 'her'. For the first time in her life, she apologized!!!! Kel almost fell flat on his face!!
All in perspective.. you're right, it could have been on of our furbabies!

Pegi, what manner will you be making ceramic flowers????

Yeah Synda, show us the afghan when you're through. Sounds beautiful..

Florida Linda, hope you're getting rid of that cold.. stay warm please.

Yes Bon, your neighbours are so lucky. Didn't get the house burnt.
You're just a natural at helping others.. that's one of your gifts, Bon.
Poor neighbours will be rattled for a long time.

Waving to sistah Judy~~~ How's your 'project' coming along?
Kel's belly's looking better, thanks for asking.
Will be praying for a quick recovery for Steve.

I've been exuding perfume of the medical kind... Bengay. Joints are so stiff and I had to slather on that to be mobile.
Temps are in the high 30's. Thankful for no ice, nor sleet nor snow not hindering our normal supply run this morning.
Will have to discipline myself into finishing the swap blocks this morning........but in the meantime.......got to do visit on other threads.

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Just got home from my first MOPS meeting. Did you know . . . . that I am not the only mother that has 3 & 6 year old kids (and secretly thinks she's going insane some days) in San Antonio?

Oh, a block swap . . . gotta figure out which pattern to use for the signature block #2 swap . . .

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Pegi, my DIL thinks that on a regular basis now that she is unemployed and home with the girls. LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Jaye, your not near any of those ports that are closed are you? I heaerd on the news that some port in N.C. is closed due to some ship transporting highly explosive chemicals, and they had some holes in the ship? Be careful please? Sorry to hear your all stiff today! I have no pain in my hips, so far so good!
Judy, is Steve havimg a scope done? Hope it all comes out good? Sending prayers for a speedy recovery!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Good morning/afternoon to all. Can't believe I stayed away from my PC until now. Usually I HAVE to get on line to see my e-mail as soon as I get up, what an excuse. Should get out and clean up some mess around my raised bed while it is still warm out. Rain and cool weather is forecast.

Jaye, I guess I didn't explain myself when I said I wanted to make ceramic flowers. I think it was on the Trash to Treasure forum that this gal posted a picture of "flowers" made from plates. T to T thread was the first one I headed to when I joined DG. Such talented people making nice things out of junk was what I was interested in, interest passed on to me by my mom. She got some pretty plates (that is where the thrift store comes in handy), glued a small plated to large one and smaller plate to that. A very small bowl could be added for center of flower. On the back was a round piece of wood for hanging or attaching some rebar so you could stick it in the ground. I've picked up some cute plates and found some small bowls, or I have even picked up some tea lite holders for the center. Well, here I sit just piling up all this stuff and not attempting to put them together. Story of my life, doing a project is OK but putting them together is another story. I have to quit buying plates until I use up the ones I have.

I made an American flag afghan (crochet) a few years ago for a friend. I enjoyed doing the red and white stripes, but doing the blue field with white stars took me some time. Then I had to put it together, a job I really don't like. It turned out so nice and my friend so appreciated it. I think she gave it to her parents as a Christmas gift. My crochet hooks sit pretty idle these days.

Enough of my rambling.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Popping my head in here.. dishes in the dishwasher..2nd batch of clothes in... first batch.. despatched to the dryer... poor me.. having to eat kitty food.. don't feel like cooking.. too tired!! :D
Hmm.. I bet your sister will learn fast, the convenience of packaged microwaveable foods, Maid M.
This will be a bad time to suggest skinny dipping in your lake, huh?

Nichole.... so you fell for that Saturday Evening Post rosy kids too huh?
Lolol!!! Not a mother here, but have witnessed my mother losing her hair caused by 8 kids with so very different temperaments.
Good luck!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Please don't eat the kibbles Jaye, we can find someplace and call for delivery for you! ! !
I don't mind skinny dipping, but not in the frozen waters! Brrrrrrrr.....
