yeah well can't have it all
What for dinner? Pt 3
That lemon sauce sounds good, I too may try it on pork. I like lamb broiled with curry and lime zest. A side of spicy brown rice with sauteed leek and mild peppers goes well with it. Ric
Steak last night. We use c of m soup over chicken or pork chops for something different.
just finished putting mucho garlic into a pork loin
I don't care for cream of mushroom and substitute cream of celery instead.
I like cream of chichen. Didnt do the lamb yet, will shoot for it tomorrow.
I like cream of ice.
heehee!
I use cream of chicken for chicken but celery for pork or beef
Looks like salmon loaf, baked potatoes, and Brussels sprouts tonight. I may do a walnut and cheese sauce for the salmon. I love walnuts with fish, when I broil trout I like to use orange slices and ground black walnut, it imparts a smokey flavor. Ric
I just like trout.^_^
Store-bought bourbon roasted chicken.
Hubby grilled some bison burgers and hot dogs(for himself and the kids) He further hardened his arteries by making them chili dogs.
Gotta die from something.
Got that right
My fil always says he doesn't want to be the healthiest guy in the cemetary.
Victor, btw I will get your cookbook out to you tomorrow.
Hey my state (NY) is shaded in pink suddenly!
huh?
On every thread, NY is lit up in pink.
Duh - it was the highlight feature of Firefox! Didn't know I hit it.
I have firefox--what feature is that?
Might be a toolbar add-on. Its icon is a yellow highlighter. You can use it to pick out any letter, word, phrase on the page. Very useful.
Sounds like a toolbar add-on, I have the latest Firefox and the icon is not avail, I think I had it once but took it out since I use Ctrl-F to find keywords...
Oven roasted chicken w/ sweet potatoes & asparagus.
Has anyone else ruined a beautiful lasagna by using the no boil noodles?
that does sound like a nice add on Victor.. thanks
I've never used those noodles. nasty???
I have used the no cook noodles but always at least soften them in boiling water, just so I can build it better. Ric
I've tried it and didn't like it either.
That must be the trick Ric. Jen, it pulls every bit of moisture from the tomato gravy and cheese. The dogs didn't seem to mind. They got 9/10 of a whole pan. Cat too :(
I tried those no boil noodles once.. we had some nasty crunchy spots.. will have to try Ric's way
just noticed i had the yellow icon marker - how do you get it to work
So what's the purpose of "no cook" then?? I'd just get the regular kind.
I prefer the pre-cooked lasagna noodles. Just have to remember to add extra liquid. But then, I prefer a very thick lasagna.
we make fresh lasagna - it really does not take long and is delicious - home made pizza tonight- yes we make the doe - although we do buy some from a local Italian pizza joint
Roast chicken not sure what sides yet.
Last night we had mac and cheese with tomatoes and chopped up leftover cottage roll. Tonight we're having it again as a leftover...
Everyone keeps mentioning roast chicken, I need to do one of those in the near future.
i think i'll get the wife to make one sunday:)
Pizza tonight
Mild italian sausages with red, green, yellow peppers and a big spanish onion. Throw in some italian spice's a can of V8 juice and simmer for a few, serve on steamed sub rolls.
Pizza's here, see ya all later.
