Ordering Chinese.
What for dinner? Pt 3
Jen gotta do a beer can chicken.. pretty good stuff
Swordfish steak, (I have the grill pan that makes the 'grill lines' lol!)
Corn breaded flounder fillet for the Mrs, both with my lemon sauce, added capers to mine with french fries, Iceberg lettuce w/ tomato salad & 1k Island dressing on the side; Vanilla. Ice cream w/ diced, fresh pineapple, (I cut up a whole one at lunchtime).
(ok, ...I couldn't help but add a slice of pound cake for dessert with the ice cream, but it doesn't count 'cause it disappeared real fast! lol!)
We did that once but didn't come out too good, I wonder what we did wrong???
We had chicken foccaccia pizza, man is that good. and the pizza place we go to has the best antipasto, they also give you a free bottle of soda with every pizza(too bad I don't drink soda)
I will have to make one for you then!!!
I'm making soup this weekend, yesterday I made some chicken stock which I use as a base for vegetable soup. I usually used canned chicken broth and canned diced tomatoes, then the rest is fresh veggies. Decided to make my own chicken stock, but I forgot to buy the tomatoes, so put a half jar of salsa in instead - and really like it. May do that from now on.
Also am making black bean soup in the crock pot - first time for the crock pot. It is taking forever, the beans have been in since yesterday and still not finished.
did you put tomatoes in it? I read on the cooking forum that tomatoes stop the beans from cooking...
we had corned beef, zuchinni and parsnips.
No, just the beans, onions, celery, and carrots. I left the crock pot on all night, kept waking up thinking I should go stir.
beans and rice, tacos and turkey mango sausage(that's all hubby's, too hot for me)
Got some nice redskins at market last week, very reasonable. So tonight was boiled, buttered, and browned potatoes with parsley, mild Italian sausage, and Brussels sprouts. Ric
Love the hot stuff!
Ribeye steaks w/ baked potato, Spinach & tomato salad, warm rolls w/ Asiago cheese.
Dinner at 'Ralph's' in South Philly tonight...I had mussels in marinara sauce with a side of broccoli rabe. Thinking I was putting parm cheese on the brocc I mistakenly put on sugar...wasn't to good. My husband spoke up and told the waiter, he laughed and said it happens all the time!! So embarrassed, but the replacement was so good!
Grilled chicken with rice, I cut up veggies ( use organic carrots, they are the best in color and taste)!
Any recipes for 'pasta fazoo'? Want to make some, usually just put in kidney beans, spaghetti sauce, hamburg and some orzo...
I was on Dave's garden before as Geraldine, got a new computer and was easier just to change everything!!!
WC2 & I were on the same track last night..........
Ribeye steaks w/ mashed potato pea's and a salad, blackberry cheesecake for dessert.
Going to check the weather for this afternoon, I just may have to grill up a couple of NY strips, blue cheese red skin potato salad, and beans. Can you tell I want nice weather. LOL Ric
nothing wrong with grilling in the snow!!!
I don't mind grilling in the snow, but when the wind is so bad you can't get the cheese to melt you gotta' a problem. LOL Ric
LOL.. I know that feeling
Welcome ladyslipper. Are you now Flip Wilson???!!!
Pork chops last night . Going to put a pot roast in the crock pot for tonight.
That sounds good jumper. i think i will too;-)
Had the In Laws down for dinner, it was nice enough out to grill steaks, yummy. Made potato salad, regular, Holly didn't want blue cheese and walnut. Made frozen sweet corn for a veggie and viewed our Longwood pictures for desert. LOL Ric
Grilling would make me want spring now. Just with the warmer weather and the snow melted, I want spring now.
Black bean soup with cornbread - not bad needed more spice.
left over roast chicken or home spaghetti - or both
Smoked pork chops, potatoes, mixed veggies.
yum!!
we had corned beef hash. There's enough for one more meal so a $5.00 corned beef gave us 3 meals.
Looks good!
Oven roasted chicken, macaroni & cheese, Caesar salad, Portuguese roll
yummy
'Luvely' choco cake luvs!
Man that cake looks good!!
I had a spring mix salad with bourbon chicken, pine nuts, honey mustard dressing and black olives
Yum, absolutely decadent, Luvs!
Mmm that cake looks soo yummy! : ) My step s on would love one just like that but with maraschino cherries rather than strawberries. I made my step son a cake for his b-day last week, and wouldn't ya know, I messed it up! I learned my lesson about trying to cook a cake along with dinner!
Trying a Rachel Ray recipe - chicken with mushrooms and balsamic cream sauce.
Sounds good.
I bought fried chicken from the grocery store had it for a late lunch so I'll probably just have a salad for dinner and hubby and son could have the chicken
flank steak w/shrooms and asparagus here - wife is back on her diet and will have steamed cabbage - i should join her, instead i opt of more exercise and less beer.
lol, you're so active Bill what weight do you need to lose?
I'm very happy to report that even though I've been a lazy bum I did not gain any weight over the holidays. woo hoo, but now to lose this baby weight!!!
