I'm busy, busy, busy also
Going to "try" to live up to a Scottish tradition, and get my house all clean & tidy..... here's hoping lol When you live in a small-ish place, it's kinda hard to find a place for everything, and my DH just bought us a new set of pots and pans! Still some good from the old set (Oneida), so having to judiciously throw out stuff..... I'm awfully hard on cookware......
We got a new phone set, too, cuz the old one's display kept blacking out, and I couldn't see the phone book, etc.
btw - we go to a place called XSCargo where they have refurbished stuff, and "at cost" stuff so we don't pay the grand amounts you may be thinking we are. We're such thrifties. ^_^

2010 Contract

After serious & cautious consideration... Your contract of friendship has been renewed for the New Year 2010!
It was a very hard decision to make... So try not to screw it up!!!

My Wish for You in 2010

May peace break into your home and may thieves come to steal your debts.

May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills.

May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!

May happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy

May the problems you had, forget your home address!

In simple words .............

May 2010 be the best year of your life!!!

Love the old Scottish Recipes and Traditions.....

crissy, this is the only time during the year that I do anything like this, and I still don't know how I got elected! It started about five years ago with ten or twelve of our cycling friends....it come to be a club tradition with more people attending each year....it is about to the point that some one with a larger house is going to have to take over or the club is going to have to rent a location for the Potluck...they are quickly outgrowing my small place. And every year I say "I am not doing this again."

The rest of the year it is just family occasionally, and a few times a year I make a big pot of spaghetti and huge bowl of salad when Bill decides to have their store meeting here at the house.

Trisha, You could stick with that tradition.....baked ziti and garlic toast with a big salad! nothing wrong with that...and tell them to bring the wine! lol

We usually have at least one Pasta Dish, several salads, a couple of bottles of wine...with all the area Micro Breweries we end up with a lot of excellent Beers.... I try to make sure that what I provide is a complete meal if no one else were to bring anything....then with what everyone else brings it doesn't matter so much if we have four salads and six desserts...it usually works out well.... I just try to not get in a rut and fix the same things every year.

A very sad night...they took Officer Mundell off of Life Support this afternoon and he passed away shortly thereafter. Please say a prayer for his wife and children.
