get this I had to go buy potting soil the other day. Wal-Mart had 5 pallets of the 2 cu. ft. bags at 12.97 each but wouldn't sell me any. Said they send it back and don't restock until march or april. I went over to Farm King, they sell it year round and the same exact bag there was only 10.98, guess where I'm buying potting soil from?

I'm starting to enjoy corner time, got Timmy the turtle and Tootin and all my disney friends moon,jj,lynnie,dixie,kassy,the rest are being good so guess we get the reindeer poop in our stockings lol

I'll be looking for you flowers don't forget my house..that way the kids will be asleep when ya get home....

the seeds look identical to my birds of paradise except that instead of orange fuzz it's a light tan fuzz

Hi Trina! Glad to see you. My mother had 2 hip replacements. She did all her perscribed exercises, walking, and got along just fine. Hope you mom is successful in her surgery and recovery.

Typing with the latex gloves is annoying. I keep hitting the wrong keys! I have on my last pair so they are staying on until I finish with my pots this morning. Didn't get done last night because my son and granddaughter called while they were in the car traveling. I saw a little video clip of her and I was surprised how much she has grown up and out. Ten years old on Dec. 31st.

Moon, my 6" round pots are not too different than the 1/2 gallon square pots. I guess the 4" is much smaller.

I'm just worried cause the last surgery Mom had she had a problem with the anestesia (sp) last night I was exhausted when I got home but so worried I ended potting up 36 Plumeria seeds and 16 dombeya seeds (two different kinds) and a flat of rhoeo spathaca seeds and some more amaryllis trying to calm myself down

Dad had a heart attack and isn't allowed to do anything, so he's driving me nuts....sister has to go back in hospital on Monday but she won't tell us why My Brother Lives in Tampa Bay and is flying in tonight to take over for the weekend and then help all next week cause I can't lift my mom or my sister by myself of course I don't know many people who can lift my sister

Trina, that is so good that your brother is coming in and helping.

Did your kids do anything for TG? Did you do any Christmas shopping for your kids?

I talked my son into going to GW and getting me something there. I suggested a CD so it is easy to wrap and cheaper to send. They are in a financial mess. My son transfered jobs. It took them forever to sell the house and only for the same price as what they bought it 2 years earlier. Before that, they tried everything to get pregnant again and even envitro which is very expensive and didn't work. My DIL has expensive tastes and I think finally she has come to a bit of reality about their situation. She works during the day and takes care of her photography clients in the evening.

I am doing a short-cut in cleaning my pots. I spray them thoroughly, spray with the Clorox cleaner, let them sit a while, then spray them again, and wipe them off. It is suppose to rain today around noon. These pots are the ones I picked up at that one place. They were in a barn. Even though is was clean, the pots were really dirty, yucky.

Time is up, out I go!

Trina, why did your son's need stitches?

These pots really have a lot of old cob webs that hold in a lot of dust, muddy dirt, and other crap. Only have found 2 small live spiders. Right now I am doing trays and the little ones that fit in them. Did up to 1/2 gallon last night. Have many big ones yet to do.

Flowers, I read that cinnamon was good for people, especially like me who likes sugary things. So I tried taking cinnamon capsules. They were awful! They gave me heart burn and I could taste their affects all day long!!!!

they were showing off for some girls on thier bikes and had a nasty accident they each got mirror image stitches 12 apiece right in the hair line up front...figures girls were involved! LOL

Hi everyone,hope your all having a good day so far.As the time here is so far ahead of US time,and I stopped chatting way earlier than everyone else last night,hope it's ok if I answer a few things that you asked me after I'd gone :}
Flowers,you asked me what heat source we use,Did you mean to heat our home ?,I f you did,then ,we use Natural Gas central heating which warms radiators in every room.The lights are run of electricity.I wasn't sure at first if you meant the heat source for my Tortoise's cage :},as that is electricity in the form of a high wattage light bulb.
You also asked me what we call our grandparents over here,Grandma and Grandpa usually,although some people may have names they use that are special to their family,I guess.
Dixie,my Tortoise's a boy ,but I promise if he's ever a Daddy,you'll have 1st pick of the babys when they hatch :}
Smiley,thats lovely ,about your son playing at being Mr Turtle and you being Mrs Zebra.My son's had lots of soft toys too,and played many games which involved me,they had[in fact still have]a family of soft /beanie monkeys,who they did voices for.The leader was a Baboon and he used to call me Mrs,just that,not Mrs something :}
How old is Jasper now ? It's always interesting to me to meet another tortoise owner cos over here there arn't many of us.You can only buy one if it was bred in this country by a registered vet approved breeder,as importing them is illegal .I have a certificate to prove Theodore was bred in UK.
Does Jasper stay indoors unless it's warm summer time ?
Is Buffalo fairly near to Canada,as you say you're not far from Niagra Falls.My geography of US's probablt not as good as it should be,so excuse me asking :}

I was working on a geography lesson for Joy and my internet closed, now I have to re-type everything. (( whine )) Joy, I don't know how old Jasper Tortoise is, DS got him in June from his girl. Buffalo is not far from Canada, see map I will try to attach.

Here is the Great Lakes area, the dotted lines are the boundaries between the US and Canada. Buffalo is situated at the east end of Lake Erie, which is at the base of Michigan's mitt, on the right. In between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario (lake off to the right) is the Mighty Niagara River. The Niagara River dumps over the Falls into Lake Ontario. From our house we can go west about a mile and look across the Niagara River into Canada.
