Trina, where does your dad live?
I thought JJ had white hair.
TWENTY-TWO DAYS AND COUNTING-shop, Gypsies, shop
right outside of Indianapolis last time he called in Bristol I believe
Trina, I sure hope your dad and your brother get's thing's straightened out in the next few day's. Life is too short to be mad at family member's for very long. It can consume one's self if allowed. Wishing them the best.
Hi Lynnie, any snow in your part of the world yet? Sorry you lost your father to one of those as well.
Hi Rachel. Good to see you here.
That moon is almost as shiny as I am Dave....grin
Rachel, I haven't even started...grin and all these efficient lady gypsies are getting close to through....I feel like such a slouch....lol
I hope Rachel, but my brother would have to grow up and act like 31 instead of 15 and quite being such a selfish little...
and my Dad would just have to stop being so Sicillian! And Bossy and type super A personality
I need a christmas miracle...LOL
Trina, I looked it up on Mapquest.com. He lives so far north in IN that a couple more miles he would be in Michigan.
I could be wrong on the town too I do remember it's just outside Indy, cause when he remembers he has a daughter and a grandson he goes to the race shop at the speedway to get our presents and his GF said it takes them about 25 minutes from the house
No snow here yet, Rachel, just rain, unusual for now. I hope my plants are this thirsty.
Dave, beautiful sunset!
Trina, there are a lot of places that could be within 25 miles of the track.
that's it I'm going to Dave's, who's with me?
My dad's whole family is from there so if there last name is Turner. my dad is the second to youngest of 14 Now My uncle Paul lives in Kokomo
beautiful as always Dave
I am such a sucker for sunset/sunrise photo's! I am enjoying them.
Jean, I am not really into decorating for the holiday's but I sure enjoy viewing everyone else's;-)))) I do a little but not much.
Lynnie, I hope our forecast for a possibility of snow is wrong. I will take the rain instead as long as it's not freezing rain or sleet.
Trina, wishing you and your family the best . Keep your chin up and tend to your plant's when thing's get heavy with family issue's. It work's!
oh yeah been playing in the dirt and potting things up Rachel....if all these seeds take I'm gonna have a plant sale instead of a yard sale this spring LOL
LOL I sure will Rachel, but I think you've seen just about everyone of them that I own, and you probably already have all those, right?
Rachel, I only put up a tree because of grandson Jordan. With the 3 cats and 3 dogs it can be a real struggle to keep it upright...grin We always did Christmas in a big way with our kids when they were young, but they sort of outgrew the big show as teens. We would have a small tree and presents, but not anything like when they were tiny. Have tried to do the same for Jordan...DH is not big on decorations, so Jordan and I do the tree together and drink hot chocolate and listen to Christmas music while we decorate...usually while DH is working..
How sweet!
alright I'm sitting here falling asleep so I will catch you guys tomorrow, time to catch up on some much needed shut eye. got my phone on though just in case I am needed back in Springfield before the nights over (please I hope not) Night all, and as usual if I can't sleep I'll be on later
Night Trina! Hope you have a very sound sleep!
It is a special time for Jordan and I Venice. I dearly hope it becomes a special memory for him.
that's what we do, cookies & xmas music while we decorate the tree.
Thanks Rachel. I really do hope so for Jordan as we are the only ones to help him build those memories...won't get the good kind from his mother at all. And is just beginning to build a real relationship with his Dad.
Lynnie, I light candles and burn an evergreen type incense and we bake cookies earlier in the day to go with our cocoa. I am a fan of old English madrigals and harp, harpsichord and Ueillian pipe carols....but most of all i look for things for us to laugh over...even if it means looking goofy or foolish.
don't tell anybody but i like english chamber music *grin*
classsical music...Bells Of St Genevieve is one of my favorites.
I tricked husband into going to an opera two weeks ago....told him it was a concert LOL
I like Mozart what can I say. It was my first opera, well, his too. Cosi Fan Tutti
How neat for you. I am a fan of Vivaldi, but I do enjoy some Verdi also. I get a kick out of the fact that Guisseppi Verdi translates to Joe Green...lol
I don't think you'd appreciate it ,moon, it loosely translates to "women are like that" and is about a pair of men who trick each other's fiancee into being disloyal....pretty sexist.
Figaro is probably better. But it was interesting, it was in Italian but had english subtitles, which were done with humor.
well I'm going to head off to bed, I'll see you guys in the morning. G'night Moon!
I have seen it a couple times Lynnie. I saw a televised production years ago from The Metropolitan Opera Company, and a live production by the New Orleans Symphony and Opera company
Given the time it was written, women were given very little consideration or real respect....even Shakespeare was a bit sexist...grin
Good Night Lynn. You have a sweet sleep. So nice having you on vacation....grin
This thread is getting a bit too long, so before it gets silly, a brand new place to play is waiting.
Hope you will join me here my fine gypsy friends....

And you are beautiful too Jim.....and you are right, not a gray hair in sight....grin
I had a very distinguished photo my niece put on facebook but couldn't figure out how to move it. I could copy it but it wouldn't let me paste it.
and I will move this down so it doesn't get lost....
