FAMILY, FRIENDS AND GYPSIES

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

He's not a ball game guy unless it is a soccer match. has been "installing" new computer program for the whole last set of days off....says he ran into problem with Jordan's and needs to troubleshoot it...told him he is welcome to do that as soon as it is dark outside....grin

Jesup, GA

Sounds like we were all blessed. Moon,I know what you mean about DH birthday. Have to keep them moving any way we can. Grin--Flowers,did ya do any racing on the hot wheel? Sounds like yall had a good time and thats what it's about isnt it?

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Yep computers can be a pain. After crashing mine, when I got it back now it won't read my printer Geeeeez

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

No Dixie, the hot wheels are at daughters house and I just play the drums while they ride around and around me lol

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Dixie, I don't remember you saying that Lester could cock-a-do yet. Does he open his mouth and stretch out his neck when he does that? Good looking guy your son is.

Moon, Kassy must be very good at her job if she can continue to do that work and switch patients without fretting.

Flowers and Moon, thanks for all the info. One of these days we maybe be in the situation to use that type of care not only for us but family members.

Joy, sorry about your dad but glad he is getting good care.

Who was it that suggested pie for breakfast. I couldn't help myself after you put that idea in my head! So I had a piece.

I am glad all of you had a nice Thanksgiving.

I am a little worried about JJ. Hope she has a safe trip traveling. I forget how far she has to travel to get to the stores. She only had a few hours sleep then got up at 2 AM.

The basil and garlic didn't do anything!!!! The basil leaves got moldy. The garlic smell went away. But I think I have more gnats now along with those moldy basil leaves. I am going back to chemicals!!!

Have a great day!

Jesup, GA

My DH is still eating. I got dressed this a.m. and have put my p.j's on this afternoon. And have done as little to nothing I can possibly do so far today. Laziness in its purest form. Grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Jim installed more memory in Jordan's computer...now it won't recognize wireless connection...so he can't access internet. Darn things are ALMOST more trouble than they are worth...LOL

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

LOL Venice some of that stuff hasn't worked for me either. Drag out the harsh artillery if all fails.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Moon I'll be right there and show ya how to crash it, then you can start over lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Venice, they make those little sticky fly traps that work really well. It sounds like the soil may be staying a little too moist. May want to reduce water until soil is surface dry an inch or so down. and remove the basil leaves so they don't create more problems.

Jesup, GA

Hey V. Hope you had a nice T.G. Lester trys to crow.....but is in a chicken version of puberty. It comes out sounding realy funny. Sonner or later Lester will make a good crow with time. Grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Come'on Buddy, we will drink coffee and eat cherry-cranberry pie while DH fixes it...grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Sort of like a teenage boy's voice cracking....poor Lester I know he is embarrassed...grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Remind me never to try a new reciepe on a Holiday. That blackberry cheese cake was awful lol Thank goodness had the cherry pie and birthday cake.

Jesup, GA

I know what yall mean about computers being a pain in the back side at times. My lap top is messing up today. I am on husbands out in his shop.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Dixie we will celebrate when Lester lets out a big crow lol

Jesup, GA

Moon,I honestly believe Lester thinks he sounds good in his attempt at crowing. He looks so cocky and proud after he crows. It does sound very funny. I have to laugh at him.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

must be virus day Dixie, my avg has isolated two viruses in last ten minutes.

Jesup, GA

Yeah Flowers, Lester will be so proud for us to throw him a crow party in his honor. Grin, He's tryin real hard to get it right.

Jesup, GA

I dont know what it is. Husband is going to take a look at it in a little while. I use it for work too. And naturally the warrenty is up on it.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

That must sound funny, Dixie. I ventured out a couple hours ago, silly woman. Bon Ton had flannel sheets on sale for $25, I wanted to get DS a set. Stood in line for 1/2 hour, got to know my neighbors, etc....

I suspect JJ is still out shopping. The 2 women behind me had been out for hours, it was noon. They were tired & hungry.

Then I went to exchange an 'active wear' outfit DH bought me for my birthday. The salesgirl & I had a good laugh, I said no matter WHAT size I was, a medium top & 22/24 bottom do not match.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Post a picture when he does it Dixie, that will be so cute. Ok gotta go put smokies in to slow cook for tomorrow and wash the punch bowl. Will try to catch you good folks in a little while. Dixie just rest and enjoy a long weekend. Moon hope you get something done over there and Venice good luck on knat problem. Joy if your still in here have a good night and hope to chat again soon.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Smilely sounds like a worthwhile trip, glad you found some good finds. Men don't know nothing about a ladies size. My dh always found a sales clerk around my size and got her to help him lol

Jesup, GA

Smiley hope you have the shoulder pads and helmet on. It can get ugly out there in the shopping trenches! Grin---Hope JJ's is taking the same precautions. I need to buy us some sheets and towels. May feel daring enough tomorrow.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Smiley. Too funny on the outfit. DH is hollering something from the other end of the house...guess I better go rescue whatever has gotten in his way....Try to catch up with you all later....have a good afternoon

Jesup, GA

Guess I'll go in a while it's, kinda nippy out here in husbands shop. Hope he can get my computer going like it should be. Talk to all a little later (hopefully).

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Hi Flowers,I'm still here ,but not for long, going to watch TV,in a min or so,8.45 here.I'm sorry to say I've never visited Balmoral Castle,I've been to Scotland twice ,but not to that area.Balmoral's about 380 miles away from here.I live in the county of Derbyshire, which is in the North East Midlands of England .I love castles too,i've visited Windsor Castle, thats another one of HM's homes. There are also a lot of ruined ancient castles too, which are very interesting, just unfortunate that they're in ruins :}Last year I went to Tintagel Castle, whilst on holiday in Cornwall,SW of England.Tintagel is where our wonderful King Arthur had his stronghold. It's on a wild windswept cliff.....amazing.
Moon,my husband's birthday's on Sunday 29th,I did his gift buying trip today.
Best Wishes everyone
Joy

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Imagine that moon, it is a small world after all. You and Joy will have to go birthday shopping together next year. What did you get him Joy? Moon needs some ideas lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Joy the visits you made sound facinating, I did see a picture of Windsor Castle too. The closest I've been to one is in the animated cartoons that our children and grandkids love to watch such as Beauty and the Beast. I guess everyone loves castles something mystical but yet glamorous about them. Would love to see some England Homes and gardens. Do you have a favorite country tree or flower? In North Carolina it is the dogwood tree and the cardinal is the state bird.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

There's no place like home. Sure glad to be back.

Alarm didn't go off so didn't get up til 4:15, cussing like a sailor.
Store was open by the time I got there at 5:45 and not crowded.
Lady snatched the last pair of size 4 PJ's right away as I reached for them.
I thought what would moon do and walked away without a word. Must have made someone real happy because after that I found two pair on the wrong rack cuter than the ones she took.
The camcorder I wanted was of course gone and while I was looking at the cameras someone decided they didn't want theirs and I got it.
Price matched the portable hard drive I wanted without the ad ..took my word for it.
All the movies the kids wanted I got.

Everywhere I went was the same story if there weren't any more I found one setting somewhere it didn't belong or they were restocking the shelf.

Got all but two things on my list...and they are little things that aren't high anyway.
Got a bunch that wasn't on the list.

I don't carry a purse to those things had ID and my bank card and threw in a credit card I had no intention of using but thought just in case. Good thing after the first store .. which I spent money like I was a Rockefeller.. tried to use the bank card and wouldn't work. Now I know there is a limit of cash you can get but didn't know there was a limit a day even using it has a debit /credit. So had to use the credit card . I was mad. Bank will be hearing it tomorrow

When I got home guess who is up on the roof putting up lights..I must have been a vwery good girl. Know I'm a tired one

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Good deal, JJ. Good to hear you got all the important stuff you wanted, and good to hear DH was taking care of those lights. Your karma went full circle!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Look at chew girl!!! Nice haul and sounds like you got everything in one day Way to Go JJ!!! Now just kick back, eat some left overs and pat yourself on the back you deserve it.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Well, congratulations! Even when there is no more things there, you can always find one. Yes, you are an amazing shopper! The best!!! And you didn't even grab anything away from anyone or trample them!

I was amazed myself how well everything went. Thought about buying a lottery ticket but didn't want to jinx my lucky day by being greedy.

Got my mom a digital camera so think next picture of lights I'll use it see how it does.

Of course she doesn't want one. She likes her camera except someone has to put the film in it for her..

the duck came out great BTW. Friends were thrilled.
The cherry yum yum was a hit also.

Well if anyone would like to come unload the car and wrap and put up the tree, I will feed them. ha ha

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, maybe you should just go to bed early, tomorrow sleep late, and take the day off! Then on Sunday you can unpack your car and put up the tree.

Good job on that duck! I will probably never fix one or I would ask you how you cooked it. And your Yum Yum, no one can resist that!

Keaau, HI

Somehow I can't decorate tthe tree without making a big mess. Tubs of decorations everywhere.

But I am going to bed earlier tonight.

JJ, boy that is a lot of stuff! Good job! How did you manage carrying all of those? Or were they mostly at separate stops? I was just wondering. How far away from stores are you?

(Zone 5b)

hi everybody! long day at work....over 10 hours....sounds like everybody is having a nice holiday weekend!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

That was fun JJ , felt like I was 10 again and peeking in the packages under the tree lol Glad you got to fix the yum yum, wish I had. Tried a different reciepe and it was nasty. Hi Lynnie was hoping you would have a few days off. Dave you had a good Thanksgiving I hope. The ocean pictures are great.
