Cranberry Salad
1 pkg. cranberries, crushed
2 cups sugar
Mix sugar and berries and let stand over night in the frig.
add the following the next day:
1 cup of finely chopped pecans
1 small can of crushed pineapple (drained)
1 cup whipping cream sweetened to taste
Mix and let sit over night.
You can put drollops of whipping cream on top before you serve.
Jo uses fat free Cool Whip and Splenda instead of whipping cream.
If you use this sweeten the berries as well as the Cool Whip to taste.
It takes a good bit of Splenda to get the berries sweet enough.
Happy Thanksgiving All,
Jim
FAMILY, FRIENDS AND GYPSIES

I fell asleep on the couch last night at 6 or so, guess what I'm doing now, finishing my baking lol
While the kids are away a smart Mom knows just what to do....nap. At least it is quiet now, Lynnie. Everyone enjoy this day and you shoppers be too careful tomorrow. JJ hope you find the little hamster critters you wanted.
Moon my sister found them.
Thanks for reminding me. I forgot to tell everyone we found them.
Thank You
Cold and misty here. Was even some ice this morning.
Send me some warm air. lol
Enjoy day all.
Hi JJ. a big grin to ya from the corner. May have to wait a bit on the hot air...grin was 40 degrees here this morning...got to find my fuzzy socks and some fuzzy gloves
So glad you got the little hamster. Have a grand time with family and don't forget the food at the neighbor's...grin. One year we had so much food that after everyone left, I found a salad and two desserts in the workroom fridge...grin
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and Happy Day to you too, Joy!
May we all remember the reasons we are thankful, not just today, but every day. For family and friends, both near and far.
Happy Day to all my DG buddies!
I think everyone has checked in now except Dixie. Didn't she say that she would see us on Friday? And Kassy is probably out shoveling her snow! lol Then Trina is on her way to her Mom's for Thanksgiving. Hope she will be able to visit her sister and hope she is better.
Hope your day has started out good and the rest of the day is wonderful for you, friends, and family. Great day for giving thanks! And wishing peace for all!
Moon put one pair of fuzzy socks over your hands *grin*
(still baking here)
JJ, the hot air is not here ^_^
I know, to the corner...........at least I have good company there ;-)
No snow venice. So far anyway.
I'm getting a few things done, like packing and the last of the laundry before I head out for the great wild, up north.
BF and daughter are out hunting again this morning. All the poor girl has seen this year so far are does and not that many. And of course, she wants a buck........a big one, none the less.
BF said he doesn't mind not getting one this year. He still has meat from last years left. He sure does as we don't eat it when I am there ^_^
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Good Morning and a great Thanksgiving to Smiley, Venice, Rachel and Kassy...
Maybe if I had a pair of fuzzy toe socks Lynnie I could put them on my hands...mittens never did work for me...grin
Hope Flowers, Dixie Jim, Dave, Imazadi, Seed and Ican all have a great day .
Anyone have a good receipe for roast Coyote? That's all I killed this morning. My son missed one and saw another. Now we know why we aren't seeing any deer.
Venice, Jo just puts them in the food chopper.
I had to stand in the corner once. Teacher made me put my nose on the wall. Got mad because I could do that from where I was sitting. Family trait, don't ya know.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my special friends.
LOL Jim...best to you and the lovely Jo. If ya kill off all the coyotes, the deer will be back in full force....what a buckdancer's choice...grin
hahahaha Jim you're too funny....
roast coyote, huh? gonna put some of that cranberry salad on the side?
Kassy I think there's some ducks around Dixie's house.....
Oh my...careful Lynnie, Lester is growing a bit everyday...and you know what a little dictator he is...grin
I was joking! it was a joke! *grin* I'm fond of Lester.
Good Morning Gypsies!

What caught Marks attention was small yearling came dashing out of the woods and ran under his stand. I a sec. out came the two coyotes. I knew there were some back there but looks like there maybe more than I thought. I might have to do a little early morning hunting. I didn't want to shoot a deer anyway but like to thin the coyotes out. If my fences were still up I'd put a couple of Jack Asses back there. No more coyotes then.
I hope some of you try the cranberry salad, it is great. I don't like the gelled stuff you buy in a con.
Seedtosser, you said all of that beautifully!
thanks Seed! that's nice!
Jim who you gonna use for jackasses?
Awe, Thanks,
It is easy to speak from the heart.
There are three threads That I chat regularly, or lol lurk in.
And in all three threads is where You all truley make me feel
awsom, to be me....
LOL you probably didn't need an explanation, but big wide grin, always got to tell some kind of story!
Yep, I'm a goof.
My gosh, i am starving, stomach is just rumbling...Seeing all the food over hear has my mouth watering...
Got to say, What a cute lil Monkey! Looks like quite the mischif maker.
JJ...OMG, you are too funny! But yep i am with you on the easy cleanup!! Don't find that lazy at all.
Besides isn't everyone lazy after all the delicious food?
Right back to ya Judy. Hope you and yours have a lovely day. My Gypsy buddies are the best...
I can understand thinning the pack Jim....too many means lots of hungry animals, whether it is deer or coyotes.
JJ, did you have a little snow mixed with rain this morning? They said it came through your way and it is coming here, probably rain with a spatter of snow. Here it is 39 but with 20 mph wind it feels like 29. I was outside and it IS a bit chilly!
Jim, I read up on eating coyote! They say the meat is oily. But the flavor is strong because they are meat eaters instead of vegetarians. Anything that tastes a bit wild, I really don't like. So I imagine coyote is really gross!
They are saying we should get that weather too venice. Rain and snow mix. So far, nothing, I was just out to my car to put some things in it.
Jim, that may be why we are seeing less deer this year too. They have a bunch of Coyote's up there. We can hear them at night off in the woods, and we have found tracks near the chicken coop that are either a dog or a Coyote when it was muddy out.
We could do with less Coyote's up there too, but I'm not sure if they can shoot them.
Dave, hope you have a very enjoyable and happy day! Thanks for giving us a rainbow in this chilly weather.
Rainbows are perfect for today. Traditionally, the Wizard of Oz is screened on some channel today...the ultimate rainbow movie.
Happy Thanksgiving Dave. Hope you and Brother and friends have a really nice day.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high.
There's a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby.
So beautiful!
