thanks Venice, I'm using the file/sandpaper method, I don't really want to smell vinegar all day, and I have enough accidents putting a knife in my hand with seeds is just an accident waiting for a place to happen...LOL

Trina, with the vinegar method you could put it in a container with a lid and put it in a cupboard or even the oven so it is out of the way. Just an idea to save your little hands.

The gun works ok I think. I was going to try it on a string ...but...DH decided he would do it.
He didn't throw it so it must have worked alright. lol

Rob's sister called from one of the Wal-marts in Peoria, they clearanced them out for a buck a piece so she asked me how much money I had, I told her and she brought me some more! yeah...I really like orchids....I would (remember this) give up every other plant I have if I could trade them all for orchids! hey moon...I have 5 mexican oleander seeds but one of the seeds is split in half, should I even bother planting that one?

How do you time them? or for what hours?

nevermind I open the pack and it turned to dust

They come on at dusk (suppose to) and I leave them on for about 6 hrs the first week then change it to 8 hrs and then Christmas eve I leave them on til dawn.

But the timers close to the house think its dusk before the ones in the yard, so I am going back to the old timers that you set the little peg on start ,stop time. Just have to find out what time the other ones come on so I can set them.

JJ, does dusk change depending on the weather? Like on a dark gray day would they come on in the afternoon?

I hate to say this but I'm about ready for bed!
