Then most likely an angel trumpet, but devil trumpet flowers can hang down, if they are heavy. Then you will have to look at the stems of the plant, and see what color it is? If it is a purple color, then it is a devil trumpet. Devil trumpets will not root cuttings like the angel trumpet. Devil trumpets come from seeds.
Let us know if you can get some cuttings.

Morning everyone.

Bon, most of my cuttings turned to mush due to the hard hit unexpected frost. But I know I can find a cutting (yellow), if not, next year, I'm sure most of my yellows will return from the ground. Sigh.. another reason for my depressive mood, besides the lack of rest. (Thanks Trisha)

Good explanation there LK. I had to sit my church sister down and explain her the difference too. She kept insisting she had a purple angel trumpet. Told her no such thing and it got to be datura. Thank goodness I kept a pic of my purple datura on file.

Need the coffee badly this morning.
