Jesup, GA

I am intrigued. Heard about that through the years. Wow! May be some day huh?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

We just finished a report on the Navaho Code Talkers

http://www.suite101.com/blog/themadcossack/one_of_the_last_marine_windtalkers

Jesup, GA

It is fascinating isn't it Moon? My hats off to them!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

My uncle was in the same platoon with the code talkers....Cherokee, Navaho, Apache.....didn't really matter to the military.

And yes, Dixie....I find their story fascinating also...

Jesup, GA

This has been a bitter sweet day for me. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the ones before us. Said some special prayers of thanks today.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I planted a new rose for my grandad, and now I'm still potting up plants....good thing I have a lot of starter pots...LOL

It is good to protect our Families & Friends.

Let's be thankful for those who have protected our freedom.

Let's also encourage that the young men & women serving today, get home safely and soon!

he's the one who got me into plants, I was the only grandkid allowed in the garden with him. He'd do goofy things with plants too!

Jesup, GA

Kind of tired this eve. I'll go for now. Out of all the human emotions the strongest is love. Good night all ,and God bless. See you guys tomorrow.

where'd everybody go?

I admired viewing and reading everyone's picture's/writting's concerning our countrie's Veteran's. May God keep all that are still serving in any service for our country safe. I am so glad to see many of you still have photo's and writting's/memorie's from your loved one's that may have died for our country. Cherish them and hold them dear to your heart.

Wishing everyone a very peaceful and restful sleep.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi Rachel! Thanks for stopping by. You said that very nicely.

Trina, are you still you around?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

If anyone is there, I just want to say goodnight! Have a good evening and a very restful sleep!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I was playing with my tradelist venice I'm sorry, good night

Hi Rachel

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Up! Up! It's time to get up!

I enjoyed the stories everyone, thank you. Dixie, that is an interesting story about your famous dad!

Moon, that's what my dad did too. Radio communications.

Trina, it's too bad that info is classified, it's all great family history. Most military groups have some type of website - maybe you could find something that way. That's how I found out most of my dad's info.

A symbol of grace and elegance, the pink rose is often given as an expression of admiration. Pink roses can also convey appreciation. Your picture is most fitting, Dave.

Jesup, GA

Good morning Smiley girl! Weather is still yukie over here. Now we have wind mixed with rain. What are we having for breakfast? This was sent my e-mail from a friend of mine. It is a 13yr. old boy. Jesup, GA

Youuuuuu Whoooooooo, Smiley,Lynnie, any one out there? I am sitting here all alone looking at the rain. Whine,whine.......with no one to talk to. I may be forced to go eat some thing. Grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi Dixie and Moon

My sun is a shining Dixie, cold morning, frost on car but shining. Hopefully it will hit 60 today, so they say.

That poo we had for supper didn't last long. hehe

They are putting in fiber optic cable for our antique phone system here. There marks go right between candy canes and under the Christmas tree.

Good luck to them!!

Jesup, GA

Moon, did ya google the kid I left up the thread. Amazing. Some of you may have already heard him sing. If you haven't, google his name. I think it's beautiful.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I want to go to the peak of the house DH said "what window you want me to throw you out of".

Thinking when I get home today of crawling out on the porch roof and seeing if I can reach. ( knees knock on the 6 ft stepladder).
When he gets home he just might have a decorated wife sitting on the roof, that will get him moving. LOL

Got to run. Have great day.
