Hard decision because you just don't know what the outcome in years to come will be taking those meds....guess I'm taking chances but am healthy and want to stay that way...lol
OMG sitting here today, was so tired..didn't bring anything to work on and now I'm going stir crazy...might have to go to Michaels and get some wool....shaking my head here...would be better to put my head back and snooze...now there is a thought!
3rd Annual DG Christmas Craft Workshop..Pt.3
if you get wool can I have fuzzy socks? LOL just kidding! I hate being cold cause I'm tiny. Betty is it your son in the military?
NO wool for me; I'm allergic to it. Good thing I live in the South- Huh? To me, anything below 70 is cold.
Gotta go back to teaching. love, julie
below 80 and I get cold...LOL hubby and I argue over the heat setting all the time he likes 64, right up until he bought me some orchids now he's figured out plants can get expensive and the don't like to be cold!
somehow I don't picture New Mexico getting quite cold enough to need wool socks! LOL, but I could be wrong!
Hey Susan you got it! Pic # 1 is lovely - I like that you did the wings, I didnt bother on mine but since I still have strips maybe I will go back and do them too.
Great job on the Angels!! I like the yellow card stock, and I also like the tri colors wings!
Now, you've done it again Betty, everything dropped today, lol...sat and traced out 20 Angel templates.
Got some pretty wrapping paper to use and now cutting the angels out...This is such a fun card to make as I am watching/rather listening to tv.
OH my gosh, i just love the Do you see what I see! Thats pretty cool, I am eye balling up a piece of wood down stairs, lol...
Ok, now that I finished up swap ornamnet, on to LIL Victorian Santas! LOL, I am on a roll.
Barb, i hope you and sean have lots of fun with Do you see what I see light project.
Betty thank you so much for the pictures. When Norm gets home, I'll show him and I'm sure he will get things ready for Sean. I'm so looking forward to it. Thank you again... Barb
Susan, you got it...relaxing isn't it...
Judy, omg girl..you are in the Christmas mood...well, you've enough faces made to keep you busy making Victorian Santa's..cards are fun, each and everyone different from the 1st...
OMG, went to Garden Gallery at lunch, purchased greenery, came back and was chilled to the bone...
A few minutes ago I was told by Suzanne and Cindy that they sent photo's to Paul to show him how busy I am at work...
Thought I'd share...
Aren't digital camera's wonderful...yep, here I am sound asleep...
oh I would sooooo get even Betty! LOL
Ah so you sleep at work so you can stay up all night doing crafts?
Thank You now that I have it figured out, I'm going to make some more for chirstmas and try doing it with an iris templet I have. I'll let you know how it goes. Yes we can get really cold and really hot, all on the same day, lol. Well better get off and get busy. I found the card stock at Walmart they have a big package of red, yellow and blue for $3 and then I brought some construction paper that was $1 for 50 sheets of different colors, I figured I would use this until I got it right and wouldn't be waisting good paper with designs but I like the solid colors too. Thanks again for all you do Betty and I would tell them I was making sure there was no holes in my eye lids I wasn't asleep thats what my husband tells everyone. Susan
Susan your angels are beautiful...I agree with fancy, now I'm gonna have to go back and do the sleeves on mine.
Betty your every bit as beautiful, as I imagined you would be.
Jane
Betty, that is just an angelic picture of you and your niece!
Just found put that my stepdaughter is pregnant. She doesn't speak to me, but she told Mike. She will be 19 in 2 weeks and told Mike "I'm not ready to be a Mom." Ready or not, here baby comes!
I had just turned 18 when I found out I was pregnant with my first child. I was confused, but I was ready to accept the responsibility. Having Destiny was the greatest thing to happen to me. I grew up and have to say that I am a very loving, caring mom. Mike says part of our problem is that I've always put the kids before him. Well, who else is going to take care of them and love them unconditionally? However, my stepdaughter has never been taught to accept responsibility for herself. So, please pray for the dear baby.
I love you all, julie
Got my project in the mail today! I'm so excited! But I have the flu, and getting it together probably will take a couple of days. I'll post pics when I'm done.
That's young Julie these days isn't it..don't think the youth of today are quite as ready as we were to be moms..although I was married at 17, due to health problems and their taking a child away to save my life, I was 21 when I had Greg and still 21 when I had Jeff..lol..trying to make up for lost time...then within months pregnant again, but again they took the child in early stages to save my life..both were girls..often think what might have been..maybe that's why I've always wanted a daughter so badly, or grandaughter (ooops have 4 grandsons)...oh well it wasn't to be...and yes, won't be long and she'll realize just what a responsibility it is...
My niece whom the little girl belongs to is Suzanne's daughter and grandaughter...story is quite tragic...she was living with a young man few year younger than she, had the baby, life was quite traumatic for her..finally moved out Sat. after he showed her a knife and send he'd like to end their relationship..not the best way to end it..anyway, she found out last night that he had sexually assaulted her best friend, when on drugs had done the same to her...so charges were laid today..she's presently in court getting custody, police were picking him up...my SIL who is also my cousin who I was raised with is one of management in the courts so she was able to get an emergency order done by the Judge..she's still at court so I don't know what the entire outcome is..she sure does need prayers....
Because the boyfriend told someone that he would find the baby and take her it was imperative that she be with Suzanne and not a sitter, so I got to play this morning....
Almost time to call it a day..wish I was going home but no .. travelling south to my portrait class and don't imagine I'll be home until 11 - 11:30..another late night..
Exhausted, think it's more the worry and concert for my niece than anything else..so emotional..hard to see a young woman, intelligent at that, staying with someone who so mentally and physically being abused and thinking it's the way to live....
Yea, that's the way it is sometimes, takes something major to make them realize this is not the way life is supposed to be. Been there, done that!
Your niece needs to be very careful and the baby too - so many of these situations it seems the only solution the male partner has is to kill or try to kill the child and the childs mother. So they need to be in a protected and annonymous shelter - hope you have one there!
Hope it works out safely for them!
carolvan
Thanks Carol, actually the police came to check making sure that they are in a safe place...tonight VICARS was picking up both girls , believe it's for therapy purposes...I left work before my SIL called me from the courthouse where she works to let me know the outcome of the special emergency hearing this aft. - Linda was kind enough to call every half hour or so to give me an update...
Just got in from portrait class...all my frames are in, ready to mount the 3 of 4 grandchildren's pictures...1 more to go..will start it next week...they'll make nice Christmas gifts for the boys....
Tired/tired so off to bed I go..
A kit and Santa Face mold showed up today..... the ornament is absolutely beautiful Betty....Thank you!!
Keeping everyone in my prayer's. Susan
Glad you received the 'mold' Trisha, now you've no excuse to make lots and lots..lol
Thought I'd share the portrait I did of Kyle..my camera certainly doesn't do it justice...have Noah to do and then I've done all 4 grandchildren..frames arrived this week so Carol's husband will finish framing and if all works out ok Noah will be done in a few weeks and they can be wrapped as Christmas gifts for the parents...
Betty, that's a great pic! I can do charcoal drawings from a small pic, but I can't do it in color!
Wow Betty, that's awesome! Has he seen it yet?
Wow just checked my tracking number Betty- says it is not only in Calgfary but out for delivery!
Ohhh most likely you'll get it today then...
Must go back and mark who got theirs...
No he hasn't Crissy, it's for his parents for Christmas...sure wish my camera would do it justice..have to try and see if I can't take a better one..lol...
Most of the time camera's don't do pictures or paintings justice anyway. Maybe a different setting on your camera?
It's here, unwrapped and examined - now I better go back and look at your picture and see what I ordered!
Thanks Betty!
great drawing betty
oh got my package thank you for the ornament its just beautiful
All went home with a pretty piece though..some worked on their greenery arrangement, some just stuck them in...went to say something to Donna and she said, 'don't say a word, like it just like it is...' lol
So now cleaning begins..early night at my house..might go to Barrie in the morning.... the Nottawasaga Inn has their craft sale "Sugar Plum Festival" haven't been in a few years...if I get all I want done accomplished today then it's off for more Christmas shopping tomorrow...
Enjoy your day!
NICE WORK,I would love to go to a craft fair, just to look for Ideas
Betty has my money made it yet? Just wondering. Thanks for all you do Susan
Betty, one kit has arrived, still waiting for second, Envie is in the mail.
Susan, will have to take inventory of $$$ and also kits arriving..just been soooo busy...we'll pick a date or two next week for those who want to get started...
Some have to remember, some kits were mailed from here so will be a bit longer...
Thanks for understanding...
Thats fine was just wondering with sending it so far, didn't want the aliens to reroute it. If you don't get it please let me know and I'll send some more. And will have to get my hubby to help with any thing that will need electirc or sharp utentiles. My family doesn't let me play with any thing sharp, expecially since I had to go get stitches in a finger while using a steak knife at a resturant, don't know why they think I'm dangerous, lol. But I'm really looking forward to these projects and am making cards like mad, I've even got brave and did the design on the face. Thanks for all you do and take time to rest. Susan
