Linda Kay, making up for it now though..talk about dust city..lol
3rd Annual DG Christmas Craft Workshop..Pt.3
Good Morning!
Betty, so glad you slept in, yup must have needed extra rest!
Wow already busy with all that lumber? or lol, almost done by now?
Hiya Linda Kay, Thank you and Betty on key chain...I am still not too happy about it but it was a rush project.
Thinking about making another. Same beads perhaps, but tighter, the way it's suppose to be done.
LOL, that what i get for beading at night and not daytime...The whole thing took almost 7 hours.
Yes, LK...they are beads strung one at a time...
OH and Betty, lol I did the Tree card not ornament, lol...Julia was Thrilled when she saw the new variety of templates you sent us!
I made two sets of templates and copied the lines for her...now she has her own.
and Guess what I found in all my cleaning?? White cover stock, waiting to be made into cards!! LOL, I just knew all my packratting would come in handy some day...big smiles.
Well, off to clean up kitchen and make ready for something.lol.
Waiving Hello to all in the workshop, hope all your crafts, cards and items are coming out nicely.
WE DID IT!!!!! Today was craft with Grammy day for Sean and I. For those who don't know Sean is my 9 yr old grandson. We have been doing small projects together so Grammy could bond closer to him. And this is what we did. Many, many thanks go to Betty for sending me the pieces to do this with him.

Oh Barb you've just made me cry...remember all the days when the grandsons were younger and we'd have such a lovely time doing crafts for teachers/bus drivers/parents and grandparents....how they'd be proud of their accomplishments...took a bit for grandma NOT to help but I didn't...
Is he pleased? Giving it to his teacher right?
Even grandmpa looks like he's enjoying... and there was enough to do 2...did grandma get hers done?
OMG...You've all made my day!
Yep Judy, still am cleaning...
Hoping to have all my cutting done by early evening, clean up my mess and enjoy having turkey with Greg..which reminds me on, only bought a large breast, must go put it in the oven..Melanie and the boys are in Meaford tonight - hockey, Greg he's on the snowmobile trails cutting and cleaning before the snow comes..said there was lot of down trees, wants to make it safe...so lordy knows what time he'll get here...
I've several long 2" thick boards that need to be cut..could be dangerous just 1 so I'll wait but then that means I should wait for final clean -up..
Judy, amazing what we find while organizing our craft supplies..most likely we'd not have to be making trips to the craft stores if we spent time going through what we have already...lol
Hows it going Betty? Yow look at you've done!
LOL, was glad you said lamps,I was sitting here wondering what the pieces were going to end up being.
Barb!! OH look at how beautiful, and i so loved the pictures of the day!
Good for your Family fun craft! Turned out beautifully!
Anyone else working on craft? Today i was being lazy...lol
Lazy, omg Judy that's doubtful..
Can't sleep, lots of sad stories came to my door yesterday afternoon..put a halt to my working, couldn't sleep so up I am, 2nd coffee in hand and back at it...
I'm glad some one else is up early. I'm up and getting ready to go to work, I only work part time so don't have to do this all the time, thank goodness, lol. Still an early riser any way. I would love to see the lamps when they are finished. I've got all my paints and things for my snow man with a cardnial so will start painting on it today, been trying to get a sick goat well and clean up the yard while its still warm. So haven't done any projects. But will get my matterial for four aprons on Mon and try and finish most of my christmas next week. So sorry to hear that you had sad stories yesterday. Well better get off and get my coffee and get ready to go to work. Have A Good Day Susan
Barb was 'lurking' reading all the thread, wish I could have been able to be on this project. But wanted to say you and your grandson look grand in your John Deere aprons. It's the first time I've seen you with them on! Sean is like my grandson, he's also 9, and he loves helping me with projects. I get to have him every other weekend and he always wants to know what we are doing this time. lol
He loves to come home with me on those weekends because he also rides the bus home with me. He thinks it's cool that grandma picks him up at school in her big yellow bus. He is a joy.
So glad to see you both are enjoying your aprons, I should have sent one for Grandpa! Sorry he was left out.
Marilyn join us anytime...we do need supervision..lol...
Went to Mike and Darlene's, got there at 7:40am and left at 9:00..got all I needed ripped on his saw and cut to lengths..now watch me go...
They live on the lake so had some pretty greenery on the rocks, took time to cut some for our project..
Just made a call to my brother Bernie who thought he might have time to come today and do door trims, no one home, so he's either on his way here or off to his son's to help close in the garage they are building..
Anxious to finish this house work but at same time wouldn't mind finishing the workshop kits....
Best unload my car and get at it..
Enjoy your day Susan....
Morning everyone, Betty sorry to hear you had sad news all day yesterday. Hope all is well now? Sorry you did not get much sleep last night. Maybe a nap later today?
Hey Marilyn, how you doing? Wish you could have been in this also. I keep telling myself no more swaps, but I think I am addicted to the swaps, just as much as facebook! ^_^
Thank You , You have a wonderful day too. Back from feeding and taking care of the show dogs and horse's I do part time when the owner's are away. I really enjoy it but am always glad when I'm threw, I have 25 dogs to take in and out every day they are gone plus 7 horse's to tend to. Makes me glad mine all have pasture and pens they can be in and the 6 dogs that live in the house with me have a doggie door and come and go as they please. Well better get off and go see how the goat is doing. Everyone have a wonderful day. We have nice 70 degree weather until Tue. So will be out side for the next two days getting yard put to bed for the winter. Susan
Tomorrow when I have a minute, going to start a thread for each of the different projects that way it won't be as confusing for all of you..
Hope tomorrow the last of you will get your kits...crossing my fingers!
Back to work..
Taking a wood break, putting hooks on the 2 new windows to hang the snowflake lights inside and then perhaps a few to hang lights on the new back bedroom deck...it sure is beautiful out there...
Oh my gosh, That is a lot of brugs you have there? How big are those cuttings? Looks like you will have plenty of them next year?
Linda good to 'see' you too. I've been trying to catch up on everything now that I can 'cruise' along. :) Still sewing, so set up my sewing area in my bedroom, and I dont' think that's going to work out to well, but had to make room in the livingroom so I could put the tree up this next weekend. Can't wait for the holidays to get here.
so let's hurry up, give our thanks and pass the turkey,,,,I'm ready to head on in to Christmas!
There's probably 100 cuttings from two 9 - 10' plants, I even have the trunk as clippings, don't know if they grow the same as the rest of the plant?? If I was smart I'd sell them, $2.00 each! Someone on DG sent 3 clippings to me last fall, I keep thinking it was you LK but I'm not sure :( I wish I hadn't lost my tags...
LOL Marilyn, I want some turkey first, I love fresh turkey.
You can have turkey anytime Crissy...our Thanksgiving was last month but had a yen for turkey again and had invited Greg (my eldest) for supper last night..first thing he says 'mom, turkey, thought you'd cook spaghetti or something, it's almost turkey time again, we'll have turkey out the ying yang' lol..but I did see him make himself 2 plates..lol
It's absolutely gorgeous outside..just put the totes that held my Christmas decorates outside, put a few more lights out, now going to have lunch (ho hum turkey sandwich) then back to cutting...with getting up so early am sure I'll start to fizzle out about 2 so best I hurry...
One thing that is a must is vacuum my poor vehicle...what abuse it takes...
Just remembered some are not on high speed so best I move us over....
besides the room is cleaner..lol
