Boys are still working hard and I need them to push the white tree stakes in the ground..as for the stars and hook ups I can do that on my own...

So my agenda was to get Greg up the big tree to put lights on it..couldn't find my lights so that will have to be another day...
Sitting in my basement now it a 'fluffed' up Christmas tree..upstairs in the living room are all the packages, my 'today' to do list is having a bath to wash off the grime of last year's Christmas...wrap what gifts I can, then get out those card kits...
Let's see how much I can get done...
Ooops wanted to show you 1 more thing..Mike and Darlene, friends of mine feed the racoons...saw this tree hugger racoon, about 28" in size, thought they'd enjoy so bought it for them...isn't he adorable..
You are one busy lady and what sweethearts for sons. The racoon is tooo cute!! I love him. You need to figure that out and lets make him.LOL Love the animals on your porch also, are they 'stuffed'? That is really cute.

Betty,sounds like you had a fantanstic weekend,you go girl,we finished up yard work,got my potting area all cleaned up, what a beautiful weekend,went for a bike ride too.

Barb, did include 2 sets of cut-outs for 'do you see what I see'...scrap wood, not the best...you'll have to sand a bit..as for the back, doesn't matter you won't see it anyway, gets glued to the wood piece....

Trisha, the little something for Jade..it was just a cut-out I must have done for some kids....nothing special, just thought she might enjoy getting a parcel of her own..last minute I taped a few brushes to the backside...don't throw the paper away..lol..

Now that your kits are on the way your will notice that one side smooth, one side rough....
DO NOT SAND OFF THE ROUGH .... it looks more primitive AND the wood has to be specially ordered to get that unfinished look....
If any of you would like, you can stain your pieces so that when the are basecoated and sanded they look antique (at least the sides and rough edges I cut out...)
or...if no stain and you'd still like to do it, you can pick up a brown acrylic, water it down and give it a wash..how's that?
Again..YOU WANT the unfinished side..yes you do...
Remember one day I ordered the wood, needed it playned and when I picked it up they had taken the roughness off and had to redo...
Spent part of this morning looking for a distributor for those squirrels, I've seen dogs/cats but never squirrels...do any of you have any idea where I could look, I'm not having much luck on google...

Had a great time with the children yesterday browsing the Peter Anderson Arts and Crafts Festival. Only bought rock candy and kettle corn for the kids. The items were WAY out of my price range. But they were beautiful and unique!
Watching Hurricane Ida right now. We are expected to get Tropical Force winds and 1-2 inches of rain this evening and tomorrow. At least it is not any more serious than that.

Waiting for my package, and working on my card, I keep telling my self you can do this its not that hard, I'll post a picture of the card I have finished, it does look better just not as good as everyone else's but its getting there, have to get all the old parts working together again, lol. Went to a meet and greet tea held by our extention clubs in this county and learned how to make the neatest note holder out of a coaster. Now have stuff to try that on my own,I tell you this site is aditive on doing things, lol. Well better get off and go feed all the starved animals or so they think. I have an off the wall question regarding collectables... I have a framed Dennis the Menace Comic...it is not straight out of the Newspaper, it is some type of pre-print proof with numbers and lines indicating which areas should be what color etc. It is dated 8-7-83. Any idea who I would contact to find out about this item and it's value, if any? It is a piece I rescued from Doris' Garage Sale...

Betty what perfect timing! Sage and I just got home from shopping for her dad's birthday gifts. Her package arrived, I explained what she needed to do and she immediately went to Bill out in the shop and asked for Sandpaper. She is now at her workstation at the kitchen counter sanding away on Angel Wings. She was very excited and asked me to say thank you.
