But that's fantastic news Crissy..it's been a long time coming hasn't it? Let's hope she doesn't overdo and create more problems..
Anybody want some snow?
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? #124
LOL Not til February, we have to go through all of our ice first :)
It is, she still has a lot of nerve pain though, it's going to have to be cut, no way around it.
Just a quick check in on DH'''s web book.....I cannot get on my computer!?!?!?
When I turned it on this morning all I get is a blank screen...the opening screen will not come up....so don't know when I will be back on a regular basis....I have trouble with this little key board....maybe my brother will be able to do something with mine when he gets here from Juneau tomorrow.
Keep hoping we will hear from Tubby and Shirley....
Have a good afternoon...
Oh my, I just turned on fox news, and there has been 3 people that got on fort hood, and have killed at least 7 troops, and at least 30 m ore injured. One of the shooters has been catured, but the other two are still on the loose. Please pray for these troops. They work so hard to protect out country.
Was just coming on to offer my prayers..do hope your families if in the military and on USA base are safe...tragic news for sure...
Trisha, sure hope you get your computer fixed...lost without it you will be....
Few last minute things to do, like packing my trunk with Christmas kit packages..let's see how many will be able to get posted from USA side tomorrow...
My computer is fixed!! I had to reformat the hard drive, but now I have a new computer all over again, and paid $50.00 for Dell's Tech Support to assist me instead of $200.00. I'm going to install all of the software and drivers tomorrow. I'm just happy to be online!! Yay!!
Crissy, glad you got your hard drive fixed, my is not repairable...
Betty, you have a great, safe trip!
Man, that's really bad when you can't just put the operating system disc into it and reformat it. It fried the guts of the hard drive. :( :( :( Was it a virus or corrupt files downloaded, or did they tell you?
Dear Friends:
Thought that I would let you know what has gone on lately with Tubby. I know that I had wrote the other day, but I have no idea where it went to when I sent it. It may be out there in cyber space someplace.
Tubby is still extremely weak and P.T. has been working with him daily. O.T. works with him for his arm strength. He has a long ways to go to take him home, but I know we can do it.
They did a Craniotomy on him last Friday ( 10/30) to check one of leasions on the brain. The reults did not show them what they wanted, so on Wednesday they did the Broncoscopy and took some samples of the mass in his upper right lung and did what they call a washing of the air ways. So far nothing has really grown out of it. They thought that maybe by tomorrow it would show more. I hope that it can answer some of the questions as to what it is and what can be done. If it doesn't they are talking about doing another Craniotomy again in another spot. So it's hurry up and wait. They are taking forever about getting his Coumadin restarted. I wish they'd do something, I worry about his mitral valve in his heart forming a clot. There's always something to think about.
Tubby has been looking at his computer more and I try to help. I'm not as savy on it as he has become. So if I mess up, hang in there and I'll try to figure out what I did wrong or where it went to. Tubby is laying in bed beside me and says to tell everyone Howdy! Howdy!
He looks alot better then he did at first. We've had alot of company and I know he enjoys it to an extent, but it wears him out also. We are both anxious to go home. I know he recover faster, and they can have P.T., O.T., and a nurse come to administer any antibiotics he may need at the house. We'll see what they say when the time comes to be discharged.
We want say Thanks to all that have been saying prayers and wishing us well. We appreciate everything. We also send best wishes and prayers to all who need it. We hope to be talking to you soon. It's such a blessing to have wonderful and thoughtful friends. God Bless!
Tubby & Shirley
Tubby and Shirley.....so good to hear from you. We think of you often. Are glad to hear they are making a little progress even if it is slow. Will keep the prayers coming that you are home soon
Love and Hugs,
Trisha
(((((((((Tubby & Shirley)))))))))))
We've missed you so much, have wondered how you were doing, and worried (of course).
So glad to hear from you....... and Tubby - you take care, y'hear!! Do everything the nice doctors and nurses want you to, you silly fella!!
Besides my own, I know there are loads and loads of thoughts and prayers going through the heavens for you both.
Bless you, and get well,
~Susan~
Thank you kindly Shirley for the update...honestly, I have been worried sick..still not the greatest news...we'll be sending more prayers that he continues to gain strength and soon gets back to posting our morning smile! Miss him as well...
Shirley, no need to be looking for ghost bunnies, one is on it's way! lol
Well I'm packed, almost ready to venture out again... getting excited about that #1 in the nation Craft Show with vendors from as far as Germany..yikes..left credit cards at home...could be dangerous..oh I'm sure if I REALLY want something Mom will be there with hers....
So off I go,
Enjoy your day...
Morning everyone.
Goodness, it is so good to hear from Shirley and Tubby! We will continue our prayers as well for a super fast healing, and recovery.
Tubby, this is is for you!
A man walks into his doctor's office and puts a note on the table for the doctor to read. It said, "I can't talk! Help me!"
The doctor nodded sagely, and instructed the man to put his thumb on the table. The man thinks to himself that his thumb has nothing to do with his inability to talk, but he does as the doctor ordered.
The doctor quickly picked up a big book and whacks the man's thumb with it as hard as he could.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" the man yelled.
"Good, good," the doctor said. "Come back tomorrow and we'll work on the 'B'."
Hope you all have a great week-end!
LK
LK that's hilarious!
Tubby and Shirley I have been so worried and praying for you both. Glad he's doing a little better and it seems that the hurry and wait game just isn't effective, but nerve racking. Shirley thank you so much for keeping us informed and don't worry about the posts that don't post, it happens to all of us and they are in cyberspace never to be seen again. We all love you both very very much and are sending many many prayers.
Betty Drive Careful!! And think of me when you're at the craft show! LOL
Ok, this is also hilarious. I was reading Shirley's post and said, "aawwww" to myself and Ms. Cheerful repeated it. So I said something else to myself, and she repeated that too!
Crissy, I think your Ms Cheerful has a BIG problem! Keep the stories about her coming, I look forward to them!
Audrey
Blessings being sent to you Tubby and Shirley. Norm and I speak of you often and our prayers are there always. It is a slow battle but we'll be getting Your morning smiles again soon I'm sure. We keep you close in our hearts and pray for your strength. Very warm and gentle HUGS to you both.
I wanted to say, "I'm a jerk" and see if she would repeat that too! LOL
Yea, Audrey she's just a bully and I'm too nice and have never handled bully's very well. I went to a luncheon today with some DG gals and got some goats milk soap, gave her one. She just sat there and had this look of, "uuuugggghhhhhh" I'm going to keep trying this approach and see what happens. I've tried this once before and it didn't work, but she's such a nut who knows.
I figure you all get tired of hearing it, there's a tale to tell every day!
figured I needed to post this one for Tubby....
This guy was in the hospital...none of the Nurses really wanted to deal with him because he was always yelling and cussing at them and just being rude in general. This one very seasoned old Nurse said she would deal with him. She went into the room and asked "and how are we today Mr. Jones?". He started in.....the Nurse told him that wasn't going to do any good, that needed to take his temperature and the sooner he quieted down and got his temperature taken, the sooner she would go away. "Okay!" he growled at her and opened his mouth. She told him, "Nope, sorry we have take it from the other end, roll over." He cussed and a growled and rolled over with his back to the door. He felt the thermometer go in...then the Nurse told him she had to check something at the desk while they waited for his temp to register properly. He could hear people going up and down the hall and a lot of giggles and snickers. After a bit the Doctor comes in and starts laughing and asked "What is going on in here?!?!?"...the man asked "Haven't you ever seen anyone get their temp taken before?" The Doctor replied, "Yes, but not with a Carnation!"
So the moral of the story is be very nice to your nurses and don't leave any carnations in your room!
LOL!! Love it Trisha!
Hugs to Tubby & Shirley!
AAAWWWW! To Crissy.....
Let me know what she repeats...maybe we can make this into some kind of game....
(((( I've got 5 bucks on she repeats word for word....))))) Any Takers?
HUGS to all,
Mary
LOL Mary, that's hilarious!!
So it was a little hard to fit it in the back of the vehicle...seats down, everything on top..
Maybe this is clearer...it's sitting on front deck looking pretty..while the boys were here today shrink wrapping the Foxy Lady I had them help take out all the Christmas trees.....here they are, working, sweat pouring off their foreheads and here I want my Christmas decorations out now...good boys..always do what mommy wants..lol
Here's a closer look at my pretty...oooohhh have to watch it, blue jay just flew and landed on it..think perhaps he wants to mate with the 'pretend' blue jay..now what?
Debbie, so enjoyed the Hamburg Craft show, much like our Markham craft show..lots of ideas are floating in my head..the one above might be my end of the month workshop..just pricing it out...
Ended up not being able to sleep on Friday night, (don't think mom knows she snores) so up I was cutting Iris Folding card kits...a little more to do tonight so can't stay and gab...
This is what I bought + that beautiful Christmas arrangement, all lights up...so much to unpack and a few more hours of work..lordy I'll be thrilled to go to work tomorrow..this shop till you drop is much too exhausting...
Must share, Darlene and Mike (friends) always feed racoons...won't they enjoy this tree hugger...
Did purchase clothes for me, thought I'd better do that than more crafts..lol...but, they are having same show in Dec. - might be making another trip...
Debbie, how's your daughter? everything go o.k. in the operation? As I walked through the buildings I kept thinking , 'wouldn't that be something if by change Debbie was here?' Ohhhh Mom said thank you for leading me there, casino right next door..yep..made a quick stop...
Betty - that decor racoons and blue jay plant is fabulous! I think it's adorable ^_^
It sounds huge, though - had trouble putting it in the back seat of your car?
~Susan~
