Just spoke to Paul...yep, gave me the day off for the craft show in Hamurg N.Y. so will have all of Friday after posting over 30 kits to enjoy the craft show..lol

Better call Diane and cancel portrait class on Thursday night..will have enough to keep me going without getting home at midnight ..

How's the family Debbie? been thinking about you all...

Chaos as usual Betty. Furnace is fixed, so we have heat. DD is scheduled for surgery this Thursday, not sure how long she will be in or if sending home a few hours after. Depends what they find when they get in there. She goes tomorrow for pre-op blood work, chest xray and other preliminary work. I should know more then.

Tonight, Shane is in sectionals soccer game. Of course it is in the 30's....and raining.

It is cold Debbie..41 right now..isn't it cold for you to be sitting outside?

wasn't sure if the operation was today or Thursday...are you concerned? is she? guess they don't keep you in very long anymore right? no wonder they have so many cases back with further illness..no time to recoup...I've a friend that just had an operation, sister stayed in the hospital the entire stay looking after her...nurses are just too busy...

Is the operation in Rochester?

Debbie I am so glad your heat is running again. I remember my God-sisters playing soccer in the rain and cold, but we were all kids so who cared, right? Until someone got sick, who gave it to someone else, then to someone else... lol!

Ug Got Milk?

I left work at 3pm and my whole day instantly got better. I went to this new chiropractor, he was wonderful! I didn't get outta there until 5:15 and didn't have to wait very long in the waiting room, all but 15 minutes was spent on me! 2 hours worth! LOL They realized when I walked in that I was stove up big time and when entering my information she said, "Christine, Happy Birthday!!" How sweet! Anyway, he did a very thorough examination of my tailbone, took x-rays, and went to develop them but the machine shut itself off so it was cold. So to save time he put an ice pack on my back with the electricity and I stayed there for 10 minutes, then they covered me up, turned out the lights and let me sleep for a half hour! I've never had a chiropractor let you relax that much! The x-ray machine still wasn't ready so he did a gentle adjustment and sent me on my way, I go back Thursday @ 10:30am to discuss the x-rays and a better adjustment, but let me tell ya half way home I started feeling a lot better.

So Dave had stew in the slow cooker and I stopped at Kroger and got myself a little 1/8th sheet size birthday cake! I might put some candles on it and wish myself a happy birthday and hope the next one comes around a little slower, not in a hurry to turn 40.

Jake, now done with football, had his Pizza banquet and received his numbers! '13 year he graduates...I asked him if he was going to sew them on anything and he said his HS football jacket, UM he doesn't have one, lol he said he gets one next year so I hope he doesn't loose them...Now he started wrestling, OMG, another big chunk of time running around for the meets...long, long days.

I think I told you all we had just a few flurries yesterday mixed in with hail..omg 3 major accidents with fatalities..just up the road from my home a man drove into a rock cut, man got out of the car to go help and a truck hit him..omg how terrible for his family...

I'm having a good day - feeling better, thank you.
I was told that my minute taking is getting more the way they like - short, sweet and precise (well, maybe not Sweet - it is a Medical Research Facility, after all LOL)
My least favourite chore is almost done, today. That's the minute-taking for this one particular meeting (once a month, but takes Forever to transcribe, with all my other duties lol)

I still have 1/2 strength of the bronchial cough, but as I got a good night's sleep, I'm feeling better anyway.

Just looked at the temp...when I left for lunch it was 39 and now a high of 43...must start looking for a new lightweight jacket..I have nerve damage in my nec/shoulder area and even carrying a purse can create a problem..maybe can find a downfeather (?) one this weekend...

Nope, not gonna tell you that kind of temperature news....... although we had 11c yesterday, it's only expected to be 7c today, and it's only 2c now......
HOWEVER....... Thursday is supposed to be 14c (57F) and Friday 10c (50F)!!
Wish I could say it would stay, but it is going to be winter soon....

Friday my company has a Christmas Party, and I'm looking forward to that.
Dunno how many people will be there, though. So many are sick, and so many others don't want to risk it....... ah well, we shall see.
My DH & I had a good time last year, and this year I'll know so many more people. Last year I was much more shy, and my DH knew no one there, so he was almost ready to head home cuz we didn't have a designated table to sit at and had to wander until we found someone to sit with......
He won a door prize draw - cute wooden reindeer for outside decor. It has LED lights all around the antlers, and stands about 3 1/2 ft tall. It's so cute!! I'll see if I can post a pic (IF I remember lol)

Susan - he's a cutie! That's great to have a Christmas Party to look forward to. Our company party is in about a month...and I'm actually kindof looking forward to it...since it's the new company....maybe get to know folks a bit better and show off the DH. :)

Judy - DS considered Wrestling....but didn't. I really wish he had...but oh well. Raising Teenagers is like nailing jello to a tree...huh... :) Our last football game is Friday night...and we MAY finally NOT get rained on....it's Senior night...honoring Seniors and Parents... BUT if the football team wins the game...we MAY make the playoffs...so I'm not sure what will happen then. We've never made the playoffs before...but go figure...we have 300 ADDITIONAL students this year (they closed a nearby school)....YET the Team went from 5A down to 4A (since the census for football classification was done 2 years ago)....crazy situation...the coach ought to finally be winning something...

SO your DS chose "lucky 13". LOL!

When I ask someone how they're doing, and they say "Can't complain", I ask them "Why? Nobody'd listen?" It always cracks 'em up LOL
I think a lot of people, when they're asked how they are, don't think anyone really listens or cares. I make it a point to really "hear" when someone answers. It usually "makes their day". ^_^
It takes less muscles to smile than to frown, and I guess I'm lazy LOL
Did you know that it uses 12 calories to kiss? I should be losing more weight, in that case LOL (thank you, DH!!)

You've got me laughing Mary..what a handsome young man...makes you sad when you know they'll soon be gone and lives of their own..hard to take a backseat to another woman..lol..bet some pretty young lady has her eye on him...

Love the deer...now wouldn't he look nice on my front lawn..

Girls just left..they did a primitive deer as well, all are going to get their largest flower pot, go pick greenery, cedar/pine etc and make an arrangement with him..a wreath with lights goes around his neck yet..should be pretty in an arrangement..

Best...just an all around enjoyable day..

Worse..hearing about the Bell Canada worker who went to help someone who had an accident and got run over....Rita who paint here was saying that her hubby, an O.P.P. officer was first to arrive at the scene police wise...said he was really shaken up .. must be hard being a policeman,fireman and emergency rescue person...I'm sure many a night they don't sleep...

What did I learn? always know you are getting older but boy some days you really feel it...just don't realize how old I really feel..today I felt it...

LOL Mary I've done all of the practicing like that! Once in a while I still do!

Well I didn't come visiting yesterday, I was working on work and voting on the photo contest and thinking I'll come on last night, but NOPE computer at home wouldn't connect to the internet. So I did all of my techie checking and ended up calling Hughesnet, on the phone with them for just over an hour, not their problem, need to call Dell. Got a gal at Dell and after paying $49.95 + tax because my computer is 1 1/2 years over the warranty (can't believe I've had the computer that long already) she discovered that my computer downloaded updates from Microsoft that had corrupt internet files, just like Cindy and LK were saying, so they're going to call me today at 6:30pm so we can re-install my internet software. The rest of the computer is fine.

I started moving all of my files and folders to my thumb drive and like a nerd and being too tired, by this time it was 9:30pm and had been working on computers all day, I was tired and thought I was copying all of the folders in my Start Menu to the thumb drive, but it turns out I was moving them so went to move them back to the computer and they won't move! LOL I'm sure they can tell me how to get those back on the computer too but may have to pay again Oops!! Those are the Accessories, Dell, Microsoft Office, etc. folders.

Crissy you are a lot more knowledgeable than I..haven't a clue what you are up to..and thank goodness I don't try to do anything on the computer..what a mess I'd have..still waiting for Jeff to transfer photo's from old computer to new one and my cross stitching program ...he did say he'd be up this weekend, wouldn't you know, I'm away this weekend...too funny...

I didn't realize how addicted I was, when I couldn't get on line I thought, "Now what am I going to do??????" I bought some things to put on the Victorian Santa plus I have those two pillow cases to finish embroidering, and I'm wondering what I'm going to do without the internet?? Of course when I called Hughesnet I didn't expect to be on for an hour with them and 2 1/2 hours with Dell, and we still weren't finished. She gave me the option of fixing it last night or them calling me this evening at my convenience, told her since I was working on computers all day and hadn't stopped I wanted to continue this evening. How nice!

My mom is doing pretty good, she cooked dinner last night, her husband's cousin got into a fender bender yesterday, they found the wreck driving through town and they stopped and mom was all walking around the cars looking at the damage, cleaned her house, cleaned the washing machine with Comet LOL, still complains of a lot of pain but she's slowly doing better. She said the dr told her the stitches won't start dissolving until the 6th Week, this is the 2nd week so she's bummed about that, but you know....
