Let see , the clams I would leave at the casino and the veal could eat the egglpant. Salad is good. Please tell me the dressing didn't have clumps of rotten cheese in it.

I read a book or awhile and fell back asleep until cramp in my calf sent me flying out of the recliner!

Dave, please please do not use Norton. I read the computer posts more carefully than some of the other, I know Kassy's son is a computer tech and I've listened to our computer network guy for 20 years. I think Norton & Microsoft have a relationship (just my own guess).

Try AVG! We have it on our network at work, I have it on my home computer, and I believe that's what Kassy's son uses? It's very user-friendly, you can set up automatic downloads, scans, etc...

Hey Smiley! I slept so late this morning.

I brought my mulch inside so it would dry out since it was damp. Wouldn't you know. Kitty thinks it is just a big litter box!!!! I had thought she might be using it. But I heard her this morning flipping the mulch around! Caught in the act!

Good Morning Venice. I too slept late, now my day is going to be all screwed up, my mom comes over on Saturdays. I'll have to drag her around shopping with me. It's cool and rainy, but to her it will feel downright frigid.

Imzadi, I totally forgot to put a congrats in there. I know it's a relief when a college says "yes". My 16yr old is a junior and still doesn't know which direction to go. I'm trying to push her (gently of course) into an animal field. She doesn't want to be a vet - too icky, but I'm sure there's other animal related areas she could go into. Animals are extremely receptive to her.

Trina just to let you know. I am so glad you took my spiders. (hope they are doing ok in your jungle!) Kitty was starting to eat them! Now she has chomped on my palm. I would think that is not too good eating. I will have to buy some grass to sprout for her!

Talk about sleeping late.
Fell asleep while reading again and just woke up. Now I am going to have to fight the afternoon crowd in town, and of course the sun is shining today!!

DH had his friend come over and help take out air conditioners and I didn't even hear them.
Sure he will have a great picture in his head all day. Big blob under blanket sleeping in the recliner, looking my best I'm sure.

alright how am I suppose to collect 125,000 different species of plants? Especially when I don't know what I'm looking for in a name...Does anybody have a list of all the named species of plants?? If so can you make me a copy?

Heck it would be nice to know how many species I already have!!!

Kassy and JJ, when are you planing to put down mulch or whatever to winterize? Are you waiting until the ground freezes a bit?

now I'm being serious, I need a list of species names, where do I find it?

venice, the only mulch I use at my BF's house is leaves. We even rake them into his garden and till them in.

I guess I have to kind of wait for his big tree to drop it's leaves...........LOL

Actually, I have some plants that are still green up there, or they were when I was there, including my poppy that was in bloom of the day.

My son runs AVG on one and Avast on the other.
I recently put AVG on mine and it runs the scans all on it's own.

He has 8 more months of networking for computers school left. And in the mean time, our internet company is trying to get him back there.
He is thinking about it. Depending on what the place he works at has to offer him when he graduates.

Kassy, so you are going to wait until the leaves fall from your BF's tree then till then in the soil. Do you have any idea when that will be?

I don't have leaves or a tiller except for me and my shovel! I have cedar mulch and I am wondering when I should put it down.

If I put any down I will, venice. My flowers in the backyard are next to the fence, so they are shielded somewhat from the wind. I usually put those styrofoam cones over my roses and most everything else dies completely back and I leave it lay until spring. I couldn't put mulch down now because everything is so wet I would be growing moss and mold.

I don't really mulch anything unless it is really young. I probably will those little lilies I just got this year, maybe the asters, I put in .

Trina, start looking around for that info on the Internet and DG. I looked on the internet but it seems like you will have to research one plant at a time. I don't know if Dave could give you all this info or not.

but I can't research a plant if I don't know it exists...LOL

JJ, that makes sense. The ground is pretty wet here also.

Trina, don't you have names for all your plants?

Kassy I use some leaves after the neighbors blow into my yard, but they aren't blowing this year. They started falling really good while it was raining so the are just a big pile of wet soggy mess right now.

What does each of these mean, maybe a SIMPLE definition? Genus, Species, Cultivar.
Please give me an example.

DHJim used Norton's for years and it got progressively more aggravating...last program came with a realtime virus scan that ate over half the cpu memory just to run....Jim proclaimed Peter Norton the Antichrist and dumped it all and switched to AVG. Not a single problem since.

I can't cook for two. Still make everything like all three boys were home. Somebody has to eat it and I don't care much for leftovers, rather have a bowl of cereal!!
