Seems the better part of the central US is gonna get rain today....3 to 6 inches....Venice, Trina JJs, Seed, Cat...Have your high-heeled sneaker handy..cuz It's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard rain gonna fall...so we will be Singing in the rain (3 songs is enough..grin)
GYPSIES SINGING IN THE RAIN
OMG Moon that is soooo cool! I loe it!
Excellent job, Moon! Excellent job!!!
Here's one for you: http://www.nyu.edu/greyart/
Hope it works, I'm not used to doing links
Gotta start the day and go check the bank account... Catch y'all later.
i'm terrorizing my puppy and tweaking venice's spread sheet just a little, adding stuff i didn't know wasn't on the list, like where it says plants in the house 681...I'm trying to add the names of those plants and how many of each...she did a fabulous job on that for me!
Good Morning!
Cool hi heel shoe...
Vrooming off and running, my company is suppose to come maybe tonight, for sure tomorrow, so]
kick my heeals up and finish...
woohooo...Brother on the the way.
So you alll ahve a haapy morning, rain or shine.
see ya at coffee break.
oh wow that is Cool Moon.
I'm just trying to fill in blanks...Like plants I recently found out the names of that were already in the house, or at least I am trying too.
I rally like that one Moon....lizards!
It helps to have an inventory, especially for the trading you are doing....you know what you have so you don't overlap. Can you imagine scooting around town in that shoe.....grin?
Me too...it is called Three Lizards Teasing Two Snakes....the Aboriginal folk are very literal....grin
I love it and the shoe, but I have a bit of a shoe fetish
Dumb question is anise hyssop an annual or perennial?
Perennial. Here is a site you may find useful.....I certainly do.
http://www.alchemy-works.com/agastache_foeniculum.html
Thanks Moon. Trying to mark on the list annual/perennial, store or overwinter...you know as much detail as I can get
LOL, coffee break already!
what can I say, had to fight morning rush hour.
Also, Trina, Congrats on the no smoking!! Your doing great.
(I know, from days ago..but, I am always behind in things)
Moon, those are incredible Arts pieces. Did you go to a museum?
Are they paintings or other mediums?
Good morning Smiley!
Thanks seed...unfortunately I broke my record and had one last night. so start over.
Dahlia's are annuals Right?
and how many windows can you have open before your computer goes I hate you?
The first one is paint on a real record album, a gift from my daughter. The next two are prints from silk screened art and the last is an original silk screened piece I found in a small gallery in Sydney....the piece I really wanted was exquisite and was a 5ft by 5ft original canvas called Woman in Dreamtime....couldn't afford the painting AND the shipping/insurance....couldn't justify spending 3500 for shipping....I know, what a tightwad....grin
Welll, 1? gotta say not so bad, considering you smoked a couple packs a day, didn't you?
Will just keep up the good work, pretty soon 1 will even be nasty to you.
...I am a smoker too, go up and down all the time, I did stop smoking for 4.5 months!
Time and patients, you can do it again, lol me too...soon.
Dahlias are perennial bulb plants. http://www.dahlias.net/
They are real nice pieces Moon, I especially like the Album.
thanks Moon I know I am a pain
Seed Thanks for the encouragement
My Brain hurts now! I'm not even like one 5th of the way through this list and my brain is on overload! How Venice could sit there so patiently and do this...Santa is definately getting her something VERY nice for christmas!
It would seem that someone donated a huge stack of albums to an Aboriginal village. They had no idea what to do with them as no one in the village had a phonograph and most no electricity....sat around for a few years before a couple of the local artists needed something to paint on.....Brilliant use of old albums....grin
yes it is Moon! alright I gotta cut the tops off of my orchid glads and get them laid out so they can dry, wondering how or if I can do the same with my sweet potato vines
my dad loves wolves! but then the english translation for his last name means King Wolf! Darned Sicilians as if they weren't bossy enough!
Wow, those are incredible!!
Does he still paint?
Love the Howl.
Beautiful stuff, Moon. I love wolves, too.
Hi Seeds!
Good organizational skills on the spreadsheet Trina. Venice gave you a good start, now you can customize it and it can be your journal!
I found that IE (internet explorer - the big blue E) kind of sucks if you have a bunch of them open. Firefox is much more friendly for that.
my netbook doesn't like firefox, or I'm just too set in my ways...LOL
Yes she did give me a good place to start! I was so overwhelmed I didn't know where to start...I love it!
That's the hardest part of organizing.
I learned the hard way at work - one year we had a REALLY hot summer and the 2 other girls went off in July and had babies. I was left with a temp who didn't know much of anything at the time. It forced me to organize not only the papers, but my time.
The bad thing is, now I can tell when someone's stuff and/or time isn't organized.
Trina, what's Chupy gonna be for Halloween? I know you said, many threads ago, but I forgot.
trying to decide between a cheerleader and the witch! not sure yet, she's all curled up in my sweatshirt right now!
Thanks all, Actually, those are both wood-burnings. He painted the frame for the hummers, but all the work was done with a woodburning tool. He also did intarsias and carvings, but is taking a break right now....hopefully he will pick it up again after the first of the year.
He's really good Moon!
Thanks Trina. I find it fascinating that he can take a piece of hot metal and a slab of wood and turn out something so cool.
I also find it fascinating that he can do that and is related to me....LOL
lol....
