IT'S JUST THE GYSPY IN MY SOUL

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Well then I have a little gift to send you. No, it's not a plant. Or a potato.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

ROFL...do you know me or what?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

now I can make biscuits like it's nobody's business...my Aunt Evelyn McCoy (yes as in the infamous Hattfields and McCoys) taught me how to make biscuits...But I can't make gravy to save my life....so I got biscuits if someone can make the sausage gravy!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Smiley, your DH would probably like this recipe then

Cut unpeeled potatoes into app 1 inch cubes and place in a plastic bag. Add 1/4 cup olive oil and 1 packet of onion soup mix. mix thoroughly in the bag til potatoes are coated. Place on a cookie sheet in close to a single layer, bake in a 400 degree oven approx 25-30 minutes or until tender...eat. This works with sweet potatoes also....yummy

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Moon...I've done that! I've also used the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing packets!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Trina, you may not have the Old Man, as you saw on the C&S, there are more than one type of hairy cactus. I was telling you Smiley wanted to know if that was what you had.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

well then I will get individual pics taken and post them in that forum and see what I do have!...I'm still gonna have to wait a loooong time for any of them to get to a nice presentable size but at least it's a start right?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Gotta start somewhere and few can afford to start at the top.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hey Trina, just wondering, how many plants do you have? Counting all your new ones and all the starts. Just the ones inside. Do you have 1,000 now?!!!! More or less?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I don't know yet venice, have to wait until I'm done...If I have 2 or 3 plants in one container does it count as only one plant?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

No. A plant is a plant wherever it is! By the way, I will never tell!!!! LOL

I was just curious about how much cactus do grow. The big ones in the desert with those arms, it takes 75 years for them to grow an arm! Also, from what I read about the small ones, it takes 10 years to grow one inch!!! Wow! Now that is slow growing!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

oh boy then I have more than I thought! LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

LOL I wouldn't be surprised!!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

well I have one planter I poked a dracaena spike in the middle and then surrounded it with 3 dichondra and 3 iresine purple lady's

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

So that is seven!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I can make sausage gravy! I can also hear my arteries hardening!

Good recipe Moon. DH likes potatoes any way, shape or form.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

hey at 95lbs. I can eat all kinds of things....and lots of it

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I had a baked potato for lunch, in the microwave with plastic wrap around it.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, did you give up on the counting already???

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

no I 'm making dinner

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

where'd everybody go?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Are you all finished with your dinner?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yep the heathens are quietly eating now

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Did any of your cactus come with names?

Keaau, HI

What do you feed heathens? Does Tinkerbell like heathens? How big do they get?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

unfortunately no they didn't....but that's ok eventually I will learn their names

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

well tinkerbell likes the heathens, especially when they have food!
And tonight they had a selection of pasta's, because two of the heathens have a cross-country meet tomorrow. so they had their choices of

4 cheese tortelini with garlic & herb sauce
spinach and mushroom totelini with Parma Rosa sauce
spaghetti with Pesto sauce or
spaghetti with marinara and hamburger, a little extra onion, and some mushrooms

and lets see they range in size from 5'1" to 6' even

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, this is a cactus ID site. Unfortunately, you need to know the name of what you have or go one by one down the list of names. I hate it when they do that, not having name and photo together.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

a couple of someones...and I have some boxes to send out tomorrow...for you guys and some other trades I made

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I was just looking through my mail Venice I need your address to send these rose clippings to you

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, so what are you expecting soon?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

well the 150 different coleus clippings
Night blooming jasmine from one trade
a great seed selection from another trade
some really cool succulents from another trade
turtleheads from smiley
another great selection of seeds
8 croton cuttings, 2 red Ti's, a dumbacane, calla lillies, 2 hibiscus, and some seeds

and I know I'm forgetting some stuff because I have 12 boxes I need to ship tomorrow!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

basically boxes of stuff that aren't labeled (except the coleus cause she called and said I will save you the headache we had and label them) so I will be driving Dave and Jean nuts asking them what's this and what's that, until they get mad and don't want to chat with me anymore! LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Wow! That is a lot!!!!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I'll pick you some nice little turtleheads tomorrow Trina. They pull out by the roots real easy.
