I either want to move in with Moon or Dave.....the cold makes the fibromayalgia seem like h e double hockey sticks!
but I guess it would come down to which ones the better cook...but then again I don't like seafood
IT'S JUST THE GYSPY IN MY SOUL
I know that feeling Julie!
You'd have a real problem here then. We are serious seafood eaters here. Shrimp, oysters, scallops, crawfish, fresh and salt water fish...yummy.
Found your post Lynnie, you are just "Lost In Threads" grin
That's true, Moon. That's what I do all winter, hibernate. I do not like the cold. Always thought New Mexico was my "home".
Venice (and Moon too) my Angela said (and I quote) "U2 is always in season". She was trying to get me to buy her a T shirt at the 12/05 concert. I was just looking at DH's music folder to comment on my favorite U2 disk, but can't decide - I like them all.
okay Moon, get the guest room ready!
I can't stand it - I'm going to look for some food.
I know I was finally able to eat this morning & I'm still hungry! I might put a pot of spaghetti sauce on...that's what rainy days are for, right?
Be careful Moon, you'll end up with a house full lol
Come ahead Lynnie...cooking is what I do best when it is for a crowd....grin
I agree, Dave. although axis bold as love is still a favorite, right along with watchtower. Abraxis is my favorite album of his overall.
I eat a LOT of pasta, blackened chicken (the kids hate it so I'm the only one who eats it), red beans and rice (grandad was cajun french very spicy) never turn down a tater in any form, and there isn't a pastry that's not calling my name! and lets not even get started on home made breads, cookies, pies, cakes, brownies...man now I'm hungry!
Aren't you thinking of Santana on the Abraxis album, Jean?
just play me some B.B. King and/or Eric Clapton and throw in a little John Lee Hooker and Stevie Ray Vaughn and I could have a party all by myself!
have fun Rachel!
I haven't eaten fish since visiting family in Port Allen LA we where having some kind of fish dinner (not sure which one but I use to love seafood up to this) and I ended up in the ICU over bad fish..I've never been so sick in my life or wished I was dead than that....and I had chicken pox (for the third time) and double pneumonia the day I delivered my son! Haven't touched seafood since, well occasionally I will eat a crab rangoon
Yes, Dave, I am thinking of Santana...and Axis Bold As Love....and probably a dozen other things rattling around in this chaos I call a brain....grin
Hiya Rachel. Have a great time on vacation and be safe...see ya when ya get home.
Rachel take lots of pictures to bring back and show us!
Good to hear from you Rachel!
Yes, get lots of photos!
so Dave whats the best way to root these crotons?
Do you have cuttings with stems?
Place the stems half way into a peat based growing medium and keep the soil moist but not soaking wet.
ok I got that....thank you! I really hope these take off!
ok how do I know when the Oleander seed pod thingy's are ready?
When they turn from green to yellow-brown. Pick the pod and let it dry out before you break it open.
you know I was all excited about geting all of these starts...I ust forgot the part where all the starts need potted up! LOL
cool thanks Dave....your one in a million...I think most of them are that yellow brown color got any idea how many seeds are in a pod?
All of the seeds are in the pods!
well I opened the fridge & realized it's full of food...I guess I better eat before cooking more! I have nowhere to put anything!
Have a great vacation Rachel!
I know there in the pods I was just wondering approximately how many seeds does a pod hold?
You would have to count them to find out. Your guess is as good as mine.
I have this feeling its alot....you should see hom many came out of my double yellow Datura pods...I still have one to go on it....I hate to say it but I'm not so sure I like the dats and brugs
The size of the pods, and the amount of seeds in them is highly variable.
ok thans Dave...time to put the chupacabra down for a nap and get all these starts in some dirt...I guess I'll be in and out
Moon, do you think I can put that lily with very long leaves that droop over in what I started as a compost pile?
Sure, as long as it will get sun there, it should be quite happy. By the way, If the lily still has its leaves, you may want to cut them back to about 6 inches or so. It reduces the stress on the plant if it is not trying to support all that foliage, and it will grow out again no problem.
Moon in that pick which one was an old man cactus?
I think SmileyJ was asking about the cephaloceris senilis, commonly called OLD MAN cactus because of the strands of white fuzzy "hair". That would be the one in the center of the picture.
oh my gosh, scallop linguini?? I'm in heaven, Moon.
Let's see.. what's my route? Sauce at Lynnie's, over to Trina's for blackened chicken and dessert... down to Moon's for seafood
And I believe Dave is the chocolate man? That was before I was a gypsy, I think.
Trina, you're a girl after DH's heart... Potatoes...
aaaaahhh...ok well that's one less I have to figure out what is...LOL
does one have to have 2 brugs hand-pollinated to get seed? I have flowers, and they have browned and fallen off, but I don't see any seed pods forming. The little flower-holder pod-thing is just drying out.
I like my taters...fried, mashed, french fried, baked, pancaked, potato bread, tater nuggets, tater tots, crosscut, steak cut, roasted....mmmm taters
out of 4 brugs I only had one flower....and no seeds for it either...oh well not sure I like them anyway
