So we went down to the Mighty Niagara River while I was gone. And took the camera. This picture is looking south:

Dave, you brighten everyone's day's as well and just wait until we here in the state's get into the severe Winter month's. We are all going to be waiting on your picture's to aid us through them and I have to add I see a blasted slug on that bag of soil as well. Love that Magnolia bloom!

This is another one. The bridge in the background is the South Grand Island bridge. Grand Island is in the middle of the Niagara River, and tubers, boaters etc... don't go past the North Grand Island bridge. That's where it gets near The Falls and is very fast. It's fast here too, but doable.

We used to make a flotilla of tubes & go tubing from about 5 miles south of this point, to this bridge. We had PFD's and one of our group was a lifeguard. Put the rubber boat in the middle & tie off the tubes. (The boat had the job of securing the coolers.)

There's a very nice park here (Isleview Park) and a bikepath that goes from Downtown Buffalo to who knows where. I think eventually they're going to tie it up to Albany, or something like that.

I think the mushroom is Leucocoprinus birnbaumii, the Yellow Parasol Mushroom. Need to see it open up to be sure. I'll be sure to get a shot of it .

Venice, we have a friend who left us for the great beyond a couple years ago. Bill was so angry about the whole thing, thinking about him one day, and came in his studio and put on some internet music. Him & Steve used to listen to Nick Drake a lot, and that song came on. Bill looked up the lyrics and was blown away by how it fit right into his day, and his feelings at the time. We printed out the words & framed them along with Steve's picture. We called him our brother from another mother, that's how close we all were. He's still with us, we just can't see him.

Onto more happy thoughts! JJs, I feel like I'm boring a lot. Some day I'm going to drag Bill to Niagara Falls to get some pictures for you guys. Sans the dog.
