This is another one. The bridge in the background is the South Grand Island bridge. Grand Island is in the middle of the Niagara River, and tubers, boaters etc... don't go past the North Grand Island bridge. That's where it gets near The Falls and is very fast. It's fast here too, but doable.

We used to make a flotilla of tubes & go tubing from about 5 miles south of this point, to this bridge. We had PFD's and one of our group was a lifeguard. Put the rubber boat in the middle & tie off the tubes. (The boat had the job of securing the coolers.)

There's a very nice park here (Isleview Park) and a bikepath that goes from Downtown Buffalo to who knows where. I think eventually they're going to tie it up to Albany, or something like that.
