Trina, take Lemon, Ginger, and Mint Tea for that cold!
How about the fat rendered off of meat for those Wasps. Save the beer for the gardener!
GARDEN CHATTER.....here comes Fall
It's Dave! I am drinking that tea yucky stuff! i don't want to drink it but I am...helping with the throat...but my lungs feel like there on fire
Try adding Licorice to the tea.
A Verbascum thapsus, Mullein, vapor may help with the lungs too. This is done by adding ground Mullein leaves to boiling water; turn the heat off and cap the pot; let sit for a minute then open the lid and breathe in the steam (drape a towel over your head and stay away from the direct heat of the pot so you don't burn yourself).
what freaks me out is this came on all of a sudden when I was outside messing around...wonder if I got close to something I'm allergic too...ragweed sets me off like this too
what are your symptoms, besides fire throat?
itchy watery eyes, my nostrals feel on fire and I feel like I was wacked in the back of the head
Mullein helps with many lung problems.
headache? or something else head-whacking? I would think you would know if it was your allergies, though. I don't have allergy problems (knock on my own head-there's no wood around). My daughter gets the itchy eyes & congestion. Sometimes she complains of a headache.
Any chills or achy muscles?
In connection with illness, Dave? Or lung problems in general. I envy you (in a good way), it seems like you live the life many of us would like to, but don't. Natural, from what I've gathered from your posts.
Mullein is great for many inflammations of the lungs. It can be taken as a tea for coughs, bronchitis, laryngitis, tonsilitis, asthma, influenza, respiratory mucus, tuberculosis, urinary tract infects, nervous tension, and insomnia.
interesting looking plant
I always feel achy...yeah I think I got either Bronchitis (I had that chronically as a child). or the flu
meh, how about a hot bath? that can't hurt. of course, that could be difficult with all those kids around.
I'll be back later. Gotta go start something for dinner.
dinner.....uuuuuhhhhhggggg
and Kassy collecting Dianthus seeds is not as easy as you made it sound!
Hi everyone,
Finally home, I hate meetings.
We learned how to stop complaining!!
LOL JJ....
Any pointers JJ? I could use that for some of my coworkers!
DH wants to know whats for supper. Sending him to smiley"s house.
Seedtosser that fire looked great and Lynnie that wasn't my burger. I know how to keep it on the stick.
Tie about six sticks together lay burger on top, place another set of tied sticks on top, wrap wire around to hold it together and insert in fire.
some for my kids!
You are suppose to focus on the positive.
Tell yourself you do not HAVE to do something you GET to do it. For instance you don't have to get up in the morning you get to get up. Someone else may want to and isn't able to therefore you should be happy you still can.
look up acomplaintfreeworld.org
nocomplainingrule.com
Jon Gordon quote "Make today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today. Life is a gift, not an obligation."
JJ good for you....was this something you wanted to go do?
They even have a rubber bracelet but you can use a hair tie or rubber band. Every time you complain you have to move it to the other wrist. After you go 21 days without having to move it you can get a certificate of happiness. It usually takes 4 to 8 months to accomplish going 21 days.
Keep a journal of what you complain about or just make a mark on a paper to see how many times a day you complain and then try to turn those complaints into positive remarks. Like This road construction is a pain in the a.. to The roaad construction makes it rough to get around but when it gets done it will be so much nicer to drive on ..
so did you want to go for yourself or did you go for work related issues
howdy!
Thanks, glad your enjoying the fire again....too funny JJsgramma! Wish I new back when we forgot spatchula, try turning a burger with a cardboard piece, lol doesn't work. Love your idea there, great for an act of survival.
Aww Trina, hope whatever you got goes quick, You might have this crazy cold going around...I've had mine since Labor Day. Awoke with it, was perfectly fine the day before too...yikes keep lots of kleenex on hand...and if you can sleep!
I always thought that is the nicest thing a person could do...Grow their hair and donate it for wigs! You got a big heart.
I new this young girl did the same thing.
Today, kept myself busy Thread jumping, laundry and quick clean up.
My honey is home so he is making dinner, yayaya...grilling Beer can chicken!
sounds like you all had a busy day too.
No I fill in at an agency that helps elderly in their homes when needed. Kind of part time /part time work and these meetings are required a couple times a year.
I get more hours from the meetings than I do working, but I can usually go at the spur of the moment.
Back in a few. Guess I'm ordering pizza
No delivery here so then I'll have to go get it
uhg...why does the seed collecting part have to be so tedious and time consuming?
No trina say this seed collecting is very tedious and time consuming but when I am done I will have plenty to share and make others happy.
Feel better??

My DH made the remark that I have been on this computer more in the last month than I have been in the last 3 years.
I can justify that ... paying for DSL now so have to get my moneys worth. Not sure he's buying it tho.
