Trina I volunteerfor ACS, cancer has hurt too many too close to me, so I gotta strike back. Wish a few good punches would do it, but no!

I need help..I bought shade plants again....what an idiot.

when I was 6 I watched my mom go through uterine cancer, she was 6 months pregnant with my little sister when she found out she had it. They waited as long as the could and she had my sister c-section and they took her uterus out....skip ahead I was 16 when I watched my grandfather (the only adult in my life consistently there for me) suffer a slow and agonizing death from cancer...he didn't feel well and his doc kept saying there wa nothing to worry about. after 4 months he got mad and came out to Ft. Leonard Wood where we were and saw a military doctor....that's when we found out he had breast cancer and that it had already spread to his lungs and liver....the sad part is his hometown doctor noted in the medical records 2 years earlier that he had it but never told him....when I was 21 I watched and as my 15 yo sister went through breast cancer treatment.
5 years ago now my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and survived it.and this morning I found out that once again my baby sister has breast cancer...she's now 30...So I do anything I can to raise awareness about breast cancer, some people laugh at me when I say just because you're a man doesn't mean you can't get it...but I keep trying hence this picture I have on almost all my stationary, and I make it into tshirts...all my boys have one and on the back it says "Real men wear pink"

Lynn, big bee's nest! BF has been making traps to catch all the wasps that he has at his place. They found an area by the roof of the house where they could get in, since he has had it re-roofed. So he has been busy making traps.

Now what bait do you think they went for the most?

Sorry you had to endure all that. My fraternal grandmother had breast cancer, but she wasn't close to us, so it didn't affect me too much, although I was sad when she passed away. My favorite uncle had lung cancer, I used to take him for his treatments every day. His name was Angelo, hence my daughter's name is Angela, in honor of him. He was such a blast! Made me watch the Watergate Hearings: "this is history!"

My Dad had thyroid cancer, as well as lung cancer. He said the lung cancer wasn't going to kill him, and darned if he didn't push it out of his body. Yep, didn't have lung cancer anymore. But it was on his chest. Except where my maternal catholic grandmother splashed him with the holy water. It was tough to watch him go, we spent a week in the hospice unit with him, but I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. When you watch someone you love suffer, it's a relief to see their suffering end. Plus he was so doped up on morphine we had a blast with him. An imaginary card game, etc... And he kept talking to a spot beyond the wall, where everyone was waiting for him. So it was... I don't know the word. Whenever I miss him really bad, I imagine him giving me a big bear hug.

and yes I have to dig them up they wont survive a winter here if I don't bring them in the house which I forgot when I planted them....Sometimes I'm not the brightest crayon in the box..

moist Cat food or meats attact bees.
He made two traps using 2 liter bottles and put moist cat food in one and beer in the other.
By the end of the day he had 5 in the one with the cat food in it, and none had gone to the beer one.....
I'll have to take a picture of the traps next time I'm there. It's kind of funny watching them fly around in it and not know how to get out........LOL

We think stale beer might have attacted them too, but he didn't have any that was stale.

he just can't open a beer and liveit sit overnight, huh?

Did you know if you rinse your hair with stale beer before you condition it, the beer helps your scalp and enhances any red tones in your hair

And white vinegar does the same thing except it enhances the blonde tones in your hair

I have gray tones in my hair trina :p .........LOL

same here Kassy, But I have had this love 2'wide streak of pure white since I was 12...whe the captain's wife started picking on me about it really bad...calling me little granny...my former step-dad finally told my mom it was ok if I wanted to get my hair colored...Boy if he could have only forseen some of the craz things I did to it!

"don't throw it away, give it away". One man's trash is another man's treasure. Trying to keep landfills from getting larger and taking over the planet. Free-cycle, kind of like re-cycle.

I've let my daughter do whatever she wants with her hair since she was about 12. It's only hair-grows back. Better than tattoos and weird piercings. Funny thing is, her natural color is about 12 shades of golden-to-dark brown. We laughed because she just paid to have someone do what she has naturally.

I have been several shades of purple, blue, green, red, pink, even calico cat and black and orange plaid

in winter my hair looks kinda like a mousy brownish/red but in summer it looks like a bit like fresh clover honey kinda red yet kinda gold...or at least that's what my son says...he kinda equates everything to a food!

Once I used L'Oreal Feria Chocolate covered cherry......yeah well all the chocolate washed down the drain then! Mixed with my own natural reddish color I had Deep Burgundy hair!

One year I donated 21 inches to Locks of Love.................That was the longest my hair had ever been.

I told no one I was getting it cut, it was down to my waist. You should have saw the looks I got at work when I went in...................LOL

Kassie - my girlfriends' daughter (she's 19) has been doing that since she was little. Her hair grows really quick, then she gets it chopped off. I can't ever get mine that long, I get disgusted. At this point, I'm too old for such long hair.
