Hi Jim. Missed talking to you too. All ok in your world?

PJ, I hate to be the one to tell you, even with 2 of you, you would both have a full time job trying to keep us girls in line!
:-)

Pajonica -I am also a morning glory fan
I grew this mornin glory a few years back
Fuji wistera-Correct me if I am wrong.I can't rememberthe name of it on top of my head.LOL
I couldn't collect seeds in time since the cool fall weather set in.
Jim41: You like peanut butter also.
I have a good and simple recipe for non baked peanut butter cheese cake
Only takes 5 minutes to whip up and chill.

Delhi, LA

Hi Pajonica, haven't talked to you in a while. Not since the lady was telling us that we didn't know what we were talking about on the trumpet vine thread. Told us they weren't invasive. Can't show a pictures of the legs. Only have two extra bed rooms and would be over flooded with visitors. Probably kick us all off of Dave's, been trying that with some of us any way. Want to send us to the back porch or something. Glad you and yours are ok after the typhoon.

Good to meet you Imzadi, Cat, everyone!

Yesterday was a great day in the park. Got many photos!

Here are grandparent Koa Trees, Acacia koa. One of the main canopy trees that compose Hawaiian rainforests.

Hi cat, all is well with me, just agravated. Been a glorious week for La. Sunny, low humidity, a.m. temps in the 50's and p.m.'s in the 80's. Don't you know I have had to go somewhere every day this week and couldn't get in the yard. And by the way, Pan and I like a challenge. It would be fun to try to keep you girls under control whether we were succussful or not.

The recipe sounds great but unfortunately I am diabetic so ............

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I get to beat the first person who tries to control me with my broom!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Cool flower Skimper!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

wow, this thread exploded! I couldn't get another browser to open, ny DH has 3 different music sites open. wouldn't want to close one on him..

I'm going to forget what I wanted to reply to. Yep, I did. I think:

Venice, there's a Miss Bateman clem in between 2 jackmanii, and some pinks (my favorite) and some different lilies. I have some huge seed pods from a regale lily if anyone wants them.

JJs - I don't know too much about clematis, but if your fence was mine, I'd give them the willy nilly chop. Right above the first break, whatever you call it technically. Make it force new shoots from the bottom. Of course, that could be totally the wrong advise.

I forgot who mentioned the smiley on the spoon, but that wat totally unplanned. Being EYE-tailian, we use spoons with our spaghetti. I've been a smiley collector since the 70's. Had a smiley bathroom, but finally painted it. All the kid's friends were "bummed".

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Did you get these great pics in a part of the park tourists get to see, or off the beaten path while looking for endagered species?

Oh Jim you deserve a break from yard work once in a while, unless you didn't enjoy where you were.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Hi Jim and Dave and everyone else. Jim, keep it healthy! Peanut butter is great with celery!

Greenwich, OH

I grew the morning glory about 3 or 4 years ago.

(Cathy), MO

LOL Trina! Can I watch??? :-)

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Smiley I have been told by several to chop it. But with my green thumb haha fraid I'll never see it again.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

that's a really pretty morning glory, skimper. do you find they are invasive? my MIL has them wrapped all around everything in her yard. I suppose that's what happens if you don't control them yourself. They run wild like tigger on chocolate. Oh Dave, I noticed Moon gave you a chocolate-ey gypsy name. I grew chocolate peppers this year. and I also love chocolate. There's no such thing as too much chocolate.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

jjs, it may come back in spades! live dangerously!

(Zone 5b)

I agree with you on the chocolate Smiley...i ate half a bag of chocolate chips today..not a day to stop at 1 or 2 ounces!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yes cat you can watch my tiny little butt beat people with my broom!

You should see the cool "Broom" my step-son made me!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Let's see it!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

chocolate peppers?
I will have to do that. I had the clippers out there yesterday and changed my mind. Friend from Florida coming up the 11th might wait for her. She has brought many of mine back that were almost gonners.

(Cathy), MO

Tiny or not, the poor guys just don't realize what power us females wield! :-)

I'm getting off here for tonight. Have a wonderful evening everyone. Talk to you tomorrow

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

when I say "puking houseplants" I mean it...this is just one picture and it's only of 1/4 of the room!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I'm sorry. The tag said "sweet chocolate" sweet peppers. They were a deep purple. Nice, kind of mild.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

No way I'm finally done messing with plants for the night...cuz its too dark to see!!!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I have to go spend some time with the family and play with the dog.
