ROFL Venice....hopefully tomorrow or monday I can start spreading them out a bit more, I was just bringing them in as I potted them up and setting them on any flat surface available

Dunno Grandma did it. I remember wash day was just that, all day, drying done with a huge mangle in the back
yard, then hung out to air. No dryer no washing machine and no TV! Oh and gas lighting. lol

Hope Jim don't run the well dry taking that shower.

My house could use that broom right now. Too much time outside today.

what if you grow them in a greenhouse designed just for that?
The whole reason I conned hubby into the greenhouse was for tropicals...cause I like growing Orchids and the more delicate ones don't like the house either
and BTW if it stops raining sometime today I will go take pics of our local plant life like I said I would for you.

Good morning folks, well evening here! I had to take a cherry tree out last year that was diseased, a fairly
large specimen. I was very shocked to find most of the root had rotted away and it could have fallen anytime!

Here's a picture with branches removed, and me digging it out.

Morning All!

We had a huge dead tree in front of our house. I hated it, DH said "you'd miss it if it was gone. It provides shade to the house, yadda... yadda". I said "no, ugly dead tree." Then the Forestry Dept came and determined it was dead, and cut it down. Turned out the inside was a shell, and there was a squirrel nest inside.

That was a couple years ago, during the summer. In October we had what they call "The October Storm" and the darned thing would have fallen on the house if it was still around.

So, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, Pajonica.

When do kids go back to school Trina? My daughter doesn't start until Tuesday, she's getting the most out of it until then! Either she sleeps at a friends house or there's 5 or 6 of them in her room like little sardines in a can.

The 15yo started August 19 and the other 3 started August 24...the Oldest is in SC right now finishing up National Guard training

I'm not impressed with the NYS school system. God forbid they should go 181 days. I'm all for year round school with breaks inbetween.
