Just loved these marigolds, they got huge and the blooms were beautiful. Looked very good with the Black Pear. Sorry I couldn't get a really good pic showing the bloom well.

I didnt have luck with ornamental pepper,or Persian Shield.

Beautiful plants, Holly Ann!

Persian Shield was doing beautifully in a pot in a hosta garden with just a bit of morning sun. The pot had fallen over but the plant was doing terrific. Then along came the winds and I tried turning the pot to the correct position and found it had rooted itself in the ground so I ended up breaking all those roots. Now it's back in good shape after flooding it for a few days.

I am trying to decide if I want to bring one of the Black Pearls in as a house plant. I would have to dig it up and pot it. I did put several in pots near my gazebo with the patio tomatoes but those didn't do near as well. They are much smaller but would have to be uprooted as well so I might as well bring in a larger plant. I am also trying to decide what to do about my coleus, take cuttings and try to keep them or just let those go. Too many pretty plants to leave freeze and too many pretty plants to bring inside. How about a few darker Caladiums

Very nice. I like the spotted caladiums.

I'm bringing in all my favorite coleus and have numerous cuttings to find spots for this winter. It will be a challenge.

I have handed out so many cuttings this week before a frost!
Its embarrasing to look at the pots

If they are pots you'll be bringing inside they will recover. If not, close your eyes!

Baton Rouge, LA

Sue, your new begonia looks just like my 'Black Velvet'.

Yeah, that was the distinct possibility I too came up with Evey, I just need to confirm it with some begonia gurus.
