Coffee Break # 17 - Early Fall?
Greed rules!
It's a common technique. My NYPD detective bil does things like that all the time. Another one - they go to the wanted guy's mom's house on Mothers Day and arrest them!
Gotta love it.
Gets the bad guys!
A similar thing was set up at the GYA trucking co. Stood for Got ya again.
nice shots Karen!... and good for the bad guys!!
Love the reflections!
Is that legal? Rounding them up like that sounds like they needed fresh meat for the road clean up crews, or maybe they needed to fill some empty cells. Sounds like a racket to me.
Saves money 'cause you don't have to chase them.
Maybe so. God forbid the policemen might actually have to do some police work. Like walking into Garridos back yard eighteen years ago to find Jaycee Dugard.

I think they have to be very careful what they use as bait so they can't be accused of entrapment. They usually get the dumb crooks this way.
I had a fun time this early am. Heard cats meowing, thought it was my two then saw them both in living room with ears perked up listening too. A loud angry screech and then saw one black cat outside at the bird feeder dash back to far corner of the house and all heck broke out. I ran with both my cats ahead of me to look out the bedroom window and there were two toms in mortal combat with one black cat cheering them on. They were rolling around in my garden!!! Out the back door as fast as a lady with short legs can and dispersed the crowd only to find a hollyhock, agastache and coreopsis either flattened or totally broken off at the ground. Not happy but hopefully they will grow back okay. An odd start to the day, oh and their noise woke my mom up early too. Off and running for another day. :)
Wow, tough cats!
I believe they all had outstanding warrants, Joyce. It does have an advantage in that it takes place in a controlled setting, so much lower chance of anything going wrong and anyone - cops or accused, getting hurt.
Well I've been married for 19 years and 364 days... we were planning on going out to dinner(without the kiddies) and hubby caught something, hopefully not swine flu, has a drs appointment.....just lovely
Happy anniversary! Hope it is not the flu and he makes a rapid recovery.
Thanks,
I hope it's not the flu, too...I'm running around the house with Lysol....I told him if he's coughing he needs to wear a mask.
Ugh! That's too bad. Hope he gets well soon and no one else gets it.
This is truly sickening.

**people with queasy tummies or prone to nightmares do not read that link**
Sorry Jen. Happy Anniversary!!
Poor Chickies...I'll take them.
I was going to post a similar warning - especially about the video link at the bottom. But if people don't know about these things, they will continue.
You're right Victor...people do need to know that these things happen. I just figured it needed a warning...
I don't know what it is but I'm not looking!
I'm SO not looking either. Happy Anniversary flowerjen. Hope your true luv is feeling better tomorrow for kissy stuff.
Through the mask?
Happy happy, Jen. Hope he's feeling better soon.
I keep winning bets with my son about what days UPS will come. I have not told him about email alerts! Ain't I a stinker? Hee hee! ^_^
Yes, you are. :)
Yes you are Victor.
Not watching the video, i got a visual just reading.
Jen, sorry about DH, Happy Aniversary anyways and treat yourself to Ice Cream!!! (You know you want to) lol
Thanks all.
I agree... I am so not watching that video.
Happy anniversary Jen! Er, my computer doesn't do well on videos? Actually it's been giving me bull-oney about I need to upgrade to a new version of adobe, I do, it says "installation successful" I restart, and it gives me the same runaround. Sigh.
victor what are you ordering?
Happy anniversary Jen!!
(Umm...go Phillies!)
jen hope he is feeling better - don't forget the rain check on dinner!!
my fil and my b-day are 2 days apart - the big dinner that the girls pay for (we take'em to the cleaners!) has been moved three times - thursday night there should be a spike on consumer spending
Hee hee. When's your birthday, Bill??
I'm always ordering something - lately, it's photography stuff. I'm waiting on a nice tripod and a extra battery pack for the camera - it enables even faster shooting.
How sad, even the ones not ground just get thrown and dumped around. I knew there was a reason I don't like eggs.
Victor, that is perfect! Reminds of the black cut outs we did in grade school.
will not tell
