I watched the game on TV----that was the best outing Mitre has had----can't believe that fielder has his eyes closed---surprised he didn't bobble the ball! On the flip side, another awful loss for the Mets----felt sorry for Misch yesterday, Parnell was kept in too long today----don't know why I'm not being paid to manage! LOL
Coffee Break # 17 - Early Fall?
Robin, great commentary! It has to be tough to be a Mets fan in recent years.
Victor, Great pictures. Looks like you had great seats. And....
THEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!!
Thanks, Dave. It was fun and the stadium is very nice.
Robin - the horrible Met year continues. Ugh!
Oh, Victor, please tell me that's a pic from last fall!!!!! Can't be turning this early!
Lots of drenching rain here today. Couldn't get anything done in the gardens, so I napped, watched some TV and played on the computer.
Karen
Hee hee - yes, last year.
LOL!
Please no fall yet... I still have so much to plant for next year! but I miss my roses and irises... so if fall comes, then winter and Spring again... and roses, irises and wonderful other plants!!!! I miss the daylillies also...
nice Victor!!
hate the yankees
Wow! That Teixeira has a looong stretch! He looks like a big guy too! What's up with that guy closing his eyes!? With the $ he gets you'd think he'd at least have his eyes open! (lol!)
Nice shots Victor!
Thanks!
Nice deal:

Bill has good taste!
Nice deal Victor. Glad you all had a good time, sounds like torture to me. What ever happened to keep your eye on the ball? Congrats on the win.
Young Mr Buckholtz (?sp) did a lovely job too. Not good news on the knuckleball tosser though. :(
I'm a Mets fan!
Great baseball shots, Victor, but I'm with Bill. Boooooo Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just taking a break from digging daylilies and redoing an old (make that ancient) bed.
Karen
maybe that is why he is not the superstar he was supposed to be the the jays.
Bill, I think I've heard that you are a Red Sox once or twice before.
Probably Karen & ngan too.

Teixeira just hit a 3 run homer. He is amazing on any team. Best defensive first baseman I've seen since Mattingly.
I agree about Teixera. Liked him a lot from his NL days.

YOOOOOOUK!!
Youkilis is a very good player (even though he's Greek ^_^), but if I could choose one to take on the Mets, it would be Teixera. Great all-around player.
I am a Red Sox fan, but I have totally ignored them this summer...
Teixera has made many great plays at first this year----although I hate to admit it to my dyed-in-the-wool Yankee-loving DHhe was probably the only Yankee fan in NH.
oh I am totally a Red Sox fan... last time I drove in NY state (went to visit Jan around Buffalo) got in trouble because of my Red Sox plate! someone was tailgaiting me really bad and giving the finger and of course I had no idea why until the driver opened the window and screamed at me ... scared the lights out of me! so I have no simpathy...
this year I plan to go and visit her again and I still have a Red Sox plate... oh I better fly!
great pics Victor... wish you were here at Fenway - such a nice and historic place - I remembered the first time I went there. I think I feel in love with Fenway before I was a Red Sox fan! really cool to be there...
Victor - Youk is not greek - common mistake - he is Jewish from Cincy and his family owns a jewerly store.
Jewish jewelry??
go figure huh?
a couple years ago dennis leary and lenny clark where in the booth with remy and orsillo promoting a charity, they did not know youk was not greek either - it was one of the funniest innings ever with leary and clark knocking out one liners off each other.
Great pics Victor of the Boys of Summer
Kassia, I think that's horrible that someone would do that to you just because you're a Red Sox fan, or any other fan for that matter. That's foolish and dangerous behavior for anyone. Could cause a serious accident. Why can't people just mind their own business?
This past Friday I went to the Marshfield Fair and got a few really nice pics of the ferris wheel and it's reflection that I want to share. I posted these on the reflections thread in the photos forums as well.
Karen
Here's the first one.
That's very prettiful Cousin Nut.
Thanks! Obviously it rained that night.
Karen
Really nice pics. Colors and reflection are so clear, really good.
Thanks, Pat!
Karen
kassia i've had similar experiences in NY when i drove through with 3 dallas cowboy championship plate displayed back in the 90's.

Nice shots, Karen!

Great photos, Karen! Hope you had a ride on the Ferris wheel!
