my son recites the spam skit all the time.
HELP!!!!!
AWESOME Moon! And Smiley my grandad use to say that!
Spam wonderful spam....and there's a song....grin
Would you expect less from the gypsies Smiley? Life doesn't hang on one topic....neither do we.
Sure Trina, bring the plants, we'll make no bake cookies and garden art and tease the fairies....gently so as not to anger them....Blessed Be.
I had heard 'GL willing and the creek don't rise" and "you get that when pigs fly" but the one that baffled me was "in a pig's eye"
I just feel like the wallflower when I pop in on these threads that have been going around. I was thinking of changing my name, but I don't know if I can. Smiley is good, but Wallflower would fit just a tad better. You know what they say about the quiet ones... (( we're always watching & listening ))
Everyone is so far away, any one live around me??? I'm a real good cook, and have a great recipe for pecan-praline-graham cracker-chocolate melt-in-your-mouth thingies... My momma taught me how to share ...
Yes, you can change your name. E-mail admin and they will tell you how. wallflowers are pretty little things, they just don't hang around long enough in our heat...But, I have seeds...grin....Boy, that is a mouthful....sounds yummy.
Hey Smileymom, what are you trying to do to us? They sound like to die for thingies!!!! YUM!!!
yeah, you have to make a double batch because you end up eating 1/2 of them when you break it up. I brought a plate to a party once (it was supposed to be a platterful - see above) & we hid it on top of the fridge until dessert time. Well, that didn't work. We caught one of the partygoers in the kitchen with the plate 1/2 gone. It was so funny!
lunchbreak over. back to the grind.
I can bring the recipe in tomorrow and post it if anyone wants it. It's really easy and most killer tasting. we can work it off gardening. and besides, it's healthier for mind and body to be a little fluffy and happy than to be a miserable stick. that's my philosophy. (I guesss that's why I'm fluffy!)
COOKIES!!! COOKIES!!!! COOOKIES!!!
You tease with your yummy delights
So many choices..so many choices
COOKIES!!! COOKIES!!! COOKIES!!!
There they are just in sight
Can't stop the voices...the voices
COOKIES!!! COOKIES!!! COOKIES!!!
They tell me to take you
And eat you all up
COOKIES!!! COOKIES!!! COOKIES!!!
I must at least take two
I dunk you in my milk cup
Well, Smiley mom, I was doing real good. I lost 15 pounds, then 20 pounds, and now I have gained 6 back just recently. Depriving oneself just doesn't work because you end up just craving it more. I belong to the BL online diet group which is how I lost the most. I would be like one of your partygoers and eat half the plate if I had one!
Okay, Trina, back to work....grin
I think that is the Kentia palm....may be wrong..
Included this link also

Need you ask Smiley? Of course we want it....my hips may have a problem with it, but the tongue says WOOOO-HOOOO bring'em on....grin

Moon I'm holding it with both hands...did you see Spamalot? Very funny.
Smiley if we baked cookies & headed to your house they'd be gone before we got there :)
thanks Moon
Especially coming from Louisiana....have to plan the route so we could stop a DG friends houses to use their ovens to bake more....and we still wouldn't get there with them all...grin
no Lynnie, not yet...planned a couple times and life reared its' head...grin
Trina, don't know what the deal was on that other link...sorry. Somewhere in that mess it was supposed to say Kentia or Areca, but not sure....grin Dave the intrepid will know for sure.
ok....i"m still waiting for cookies to magically appear on my counter
You did the cookie chant and everything....grin nice little rhyme anyway.
I did a praying for cookies dance too...to bad you didn't see it ...lol
Wow! A cookie dance! How cool!!!!
Sort of like the Hokey Pokey....but the Cookie Boogie You put you left hand in you take a cookie out and shake it all about....
I like that one!
Lol Moon that was too funny!
Thank you Dave.
I have a T-shirt that says
"What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?" just another one of life's great questions.
While we are on the subject, just what ever possessed the person who ate the first snail to think it was food? and, Why do people still eat them?
Lol! Moon. Better than what my kid asked me
Should I be afraid to ask??
He asked "if toilets in the northern hemisphere flush clockwise, and toilets in the southern hemisphere flush counter-clockwise, which way do the toilets on the equator flush?
Straight down....grin
then he asked which way the rivers there flow
Actually, I have heard that there is no coriolis effect on toilets...it depends on which way the jets are pointing as to which way the water flows....and tell him all rivers flow downstream....grin
LOL
there's an urban myth out there about toilets.....
he was just trying to make conversation on a long car ride
Gee not that i am interested Mom, but....grin
Yuck! Eating snails can make you very sick. Angiostrongylasis (rat lung disease) is very common in the tropics, and very painful. Here folks have been going into comas from it, just by failing to clean their salad greens before eating them.
the radio didn't work and it was a 2 hour trip...very boring for a 13 yr. old
Is that what's wrong with the French Dave....rat lung disease and they are all in comas.....sorry...couldn't resist...
I don't care how hungry i am, I will fight the slugs for whatever green they are eating long before i would eat one of them...only thing I can think of as nasty as a slug is a raw oyster...Bleech!
Be careful what you say about the French, when you live near Bayou country, Jean!
I agree with you about the raw seafood. The only things I care to eat raw are fruits and veggies.
Dat's okay Dave...we be cajun...La acadienne....not parisian....and we don't eat snails....grin
Oh, and I live IN bayou country....grin
Ah, so you won't be offended by extra hot sauce on the food!
