BJ it sounds like they're charging you for the air bag recalled part, which they're not supposed to do. I would just go down there and look at the work order to see what they did, and at the same time talk to the Service Manager and let him know what is going on about the repairs never being authorized in the first place, and I think you can hold your own, but make sure Don is with you and be firm and pissed, but not rude. You can get a lot more accomplished in person.

Jaye everything they do must be put on the work order, no matter if it costs nothing, there's always a written work order.

Oh I so agree with Crissyr, BJ. I would have been just a livid as you and trust me, we both would have been pacing the floor--can't say my thoughts would be nice either. No, if there was a recall repair that is their bill not yours for sure. Oh I wish I were closer, we would just load the Highlander full of Eve's things and bring her home. Why do we all have to live so far apart? Vent any and all times!!!! We are here!!

I am dealing with the Toyota service department at the moment. I had my SUV washed and detailed but in the process I forgot to take a necklace out of the cup holder the granddaughters had given to me--yeap it is gone!! They gave me the run around about not being responsible but again I think I should atleast be safe that things in my car would still be in my car when I picked it up. Sad thing is I am afraid they aren't going to fall up on it!! It was the world's most expensive but it certainly wasn't cheap either. I had to get receipt from son to back up the purchase price--ouch!

Oh no Marion. I always make sure my car is completely cleaned out before I take it anywhere, thieves are everywhere among us and you never know, and generally security cameras won't pick up someone picking up something. That reminds me, we have valet parking here at work and I have my new $200.00 camera and GPS in my car... NICE!!

Actually I had been wearing the necklace and the spring catch broke. Without thinking I dropped it into the cup holder and just forgot to get it out when I took it in for service and the cleaning. I remembered during the night and luckily for me I told the service person about it while they were having the car brought back up to me. We shall see what happens.

My kids say I was born old! LOL But what do they know?

Crissy, I am forever biting my tongue or cheek. I know how that hurts. Somehow I was blessed with a really small mouth and more teeth than I should have. So something is always in the way. Alright now no cracks about me being a big mouth!

So, Don called them to find out if it's ready yet. They said that the $1980 the guy told us was the "additional" repairs that I approved... bringing the total up to $2800. I beg to differ with them... I remember that entire conversation... he said additional $1000, bringing the total up to $1980.
There were 2 recalled parts they were to replace... at no charge. I know that. I'm so pissed... it's a good thing we can't pick it up today, cause I'm afraid I won't act like a lady about it.
All Don signed was the original repair quote of $900. I sure hope they have a recording of the conversation where they claim I approved the additional $1000... cause I want to hear it.
Believe me, I'll stand my ground... and they'll NEVER get any of our business again.

Thanks everyone for your words about my clay work... but I will really feel accomplished when I actually sell one... LOL.

As for the repair company - if all you signed was a $900 quote, then they can't prove you approved the additional $$s!!! my gosh that's a lot of difference......... did you read the small print?

Hello dear friends, I'm asking to be put on your prayer list. I went to Dr. today and will be getting a MRI next Tuesday. I have 2 knots on my right leg, and the leg hurts every time I turn it to theright. Like beginning to get up from a chair. I'm afraid! Cancer is in my family big time. Though I'm afraid, I know God will give me the strength to handle whatever He has in store for me. Love to all

Feel the squeeze!!!!

Well we're back.. and boy did we make some tongues wag this evening!!!

On another thread this afternoon, Faye was teasing me about how would it feel if the pastor found out about the 'liqour' business.
Apparently this followed my mischievous subconscious.

We have been noticing a new business 'establishment' on the way to pick up shop's supply. Well, this evening, we decided to give it a try.
With a name like 'Hillbilly's Still Grillin'', we can expect local fare right?
When we walked in, it was a dark cavern, and cigarette smoke fighting for air space!! Then I noticed the beer taps and when I looked around, all the patrons were surrounding this horse shoe bar. No one at the tables!!
Me and Kel left so fast that most probably the customers there felt a light breeze!
Once outside, I looked back and read the sign. Being jupclose, I can see it clearer now.. it's "Hillbilly's Still N Grillin" The "N" was very faint.....
Kel said it should be "Smoke N Choke" :P

I bet those customers were wagging their tongues as soon as we disappeared. 'Cause Kel was wearing one of his Jesus' T-shirts!!!
