Andy isn't doing himself any good by going back to work..omg he could get infection and goodness knows what would happen then...talk about a good looking couple...
Speaking of taking things easy Debbie, are you NOT suppose to be on the chesterfield, feet up, relaxing?
Best/Worse/What did I learn today-visit with friends #118
well so go's nap lol
what drama everyday i was away!
first with the house painter, my sister kept fighting him on the driveway parking
then they smelled gas, called electric co out to have both my counter stove and oven shut down guess they were old and the gas was bypassing geeez !
then she said my yard at night is halloween x3
she said what is the matter with your dogs why cant they just do their bussiness and come back in the house, they have to go site seeing for half a hour then the rustling leaves, she swears something was out there...
lol it was probably a racoon or a small rat oh brother!
then she blew the fuses and couldnt remember where the box was thank god for our neighbor.
then they were slamming the cloths dryer door so that was loose had to get new peices for that.
then because the expiration date was close they threw away all the hostess snack junk OMG! she proceded to tell me some beef issue going on, and to throw away any beef i have i told her if she didnt stop i was going to beat her up like i did when we were kids!
told her that she needed to stop watching 60 minutes and the news and reading the news paper.
and the best part was i dont know how they even watered i guess a spray per plant needless to say all my few flowers are dead so i guess a trip to home depot is due!
i brought back from wisconsin three big packs of hotdogs that you can only get there froze them up good and when i got back they were still frozen i was surprised she didnt use there full of samonila lol
despite all of that she is a jewel just a drama queen! overreacts to the smallest thing it drives me nuts!
so were looking for stove tops now but the highlight of today was kenny said to me out of the blue thank you for making the vacation possible and he had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting everyone, said all of the girls from dg were really great he loved steve and the family, wow i almost started crying !he said he hated being back to have all of this drama to come back to.

Goodness Liz, that's a lot going on for 2 weeks..but isn't it always the way, go away and your world falls apart..
Tell Kenny I did enjoy meeting him and he gave me mega laughs..shaking my head here...was almost like being with Roger and his family at get togethers, you just didn't know what would go on..the antics these guys could get into...
Good luck on the repairs and replacement of the range...sorry about the flowers!!!
I am still laughing.......I remember our last trip in Oklahoma...my brother brought his GPS...he kept trying to find a good BBQ place....half of which were no longer in business....if I would have heard that nauseating voice one more time going "recalculating, recalculating" I was going to throw the thing out the window!! Aside from that incident the Garmin did amazingly well for us!
Betty I usually key in "Most Use of Freeways." When me and Dave were going to New Orleans to catch the ship for our cruise, we stopped for the night in Vicksburg, Mississippi. I used the "Most Use of Freeways" setting, it took us off the interstate 2 exits early and led us to our hotel through residential neighborhoods. We were both mad, it added 30 minutes to the time to go 2 miles on the Interstate. There are times I use a printout of Google maps instead, just to not have to worry about the hassle. I wonder if Garmin or Tom Tom has these same issues.
I was laughing out loud when I read and saw the pictures of all of that, a couple of people thought I was nuts!
Good Grief Liz, I don't think I'd be able to handle it. Lol beat her up like you did when you were kids.
Our Magellan's say "Recalculating Route" LOL I love the one, "When possible, make a legal U turn" Naw, lets make an illegal U turn!
Trying to read up on all! ((HUGS)) such wonderful visits! I'll pop back on tomorrow...just wanted you all to know I'm here! NOT going AWOL again!
DH Bday tonight...He, Teens and myself all met up at his fav restaurant for dinner...I got him a Fishing shirt...He's going fishing for "MY" bday weekend (next week)....so really the "Yard Pass" is his present...
DD1 wants to have the Dance Team over for Friday night ....DH leaving out 10p Friday night...back on Sunday. His Mom is Tsk Tsking as she had a DUAL Bday planned at her house Sunday (DH and me) and now is having to re-schedule....
Hugs,
Mary
Hi i'm going to turn this over Shirley..She can do a much beter job of expaining then I..
Terry has had a hard time getting much sleep and trying to keep his strength. His blood pressure doesn't want to stay up, it's been running about 88/46 and needs to be at least in the 90's over 50-60's. They believe his Coreg for helping his heart pump is part of the problem. The Cardiologist cut back the AM dose but this afternoon his Primary Dr. cut the PM dose also. We'll monitor the B/P for a few days and see if that has helped.
This morning we went and seen an Oral Surgeon about the teeth that has broken off in his mouth from the Chemo and see what he said about taking them out. He thinks that the risk is too high of Terry getting a disease called Osteonecrosis from the IV meds he has been on to help strengthen his bones. It can be a very painful and debilitating disease. We are just going to wait and hope that no problems arise from leaving his roots in and if worse comes to worse, they can maybe do root canals on them and he will be just fine.
Terry has been taking Ambien (a sleep aid) to try to help get more sleep, but everything has always worked opposite on him. I don't think he ever got enough sleep to sleep it out of his system, so he stopped taking it and is back to Tylenol PM's. They are working for now.
We will just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best and say alot of prayers as they do help. We will keep you updated on our progress. We wish everyone well and happiness, and will be talking to you all soon.
Terry and/or Shirley.....Please pop in and keep us updated, we get very concerned when we don't hear from one of little group here on a regular basis.....please know that we all keep you both in our hearts and prayers daily. ((((HUGS))))

Now its time for some HUMOR.LOL
When a woman wears a leather dress...
A man's heart beats quicker,
And his throat gets dry,
He goes weak in the knees,
And he begins to think irrationally.
Ever wonder why?
It's because she smells like a new truck.

A man and his wife moved back home to West Virginia from Ohio. The husband had a wooden leg and to insure it back in Ohio cost them $2000 per year!
When they arrived in West Virginia they went to an insurance agency to see how much it would cost to insure his wooden leg.
The agent looked it up on the computer and said '$39.'
The husband was shocked and asked why it was so cheap here in West Virginia to insure it because it cost him $2000 in Ohio !
The insurance agent turned his computer screen to the couple and said, 'Well, here it is on the screen, it says: Any wooden structure, with a sprinkler system above it, is $39.... You just have to know how to describe it!'
(Those HILLBILLIES know how "t o git 'er done"; don't they?)
Last one for tonight..
It's Tough Getting Old
A senior citizen goes in for his yearly physical with his wife tagging along.
When the doctor enters the examination room he says, "I will need a urine sample, a stool sample, and a sperm sample."
The man, being hard of hearing, turns to his wife and asks, "What did he say?"
The wife yells back to him, "GIVE HIM YOUR UNDERPANTS"
NITE ALL
Tubby
Terry if I can stop laughing long enough I will give you a big goodnight (((HUG))) ! Tylenol PM is my drug of choice for getting some sleep....DH's is a glass of Scotch...whatever your choice hope you have a good night.
We love you Tubby and we sure do wish there were something we could do to ease things for you. Our prayers are with you and Shirley..
Mary check your d-mail
morning all,
tubby, prayers go up to you hope you start to feel better soon and are able to get some rest.
hi trisha, how are you doing plants surviving?
hi mary, how are you doing settling in new job did i hear fishing?
i miss the dock already.
oh shoot got to run be back
Terry & Shirley thoughts and prayers are coming your way. Medicines always work opposite with Dave's system too, uppers work as downers and visa versa. It's always hard to get a dr to understand that, and they always prescribe the wrong things because of it.
Morning, sunshine here today but then it was sunshine yesterday and without warning rain/lightning..prayers please for the mom and 2 boys 4 and 5 who were playing in the park and were hit by lightning..not looking good for the boys, mom doing better...no warning at all, blue skies, what's up with that?
Tubby and Shirley, thank you for the update, was getting ready to send out the DG police..guess some of the meds counteract some that are already in the system..sure hope Tubby you can get your blood pressure back to normal and get some sleep..you must be exhausted..no wonder you've so much time to work on gardens and projects...you still haven't told me what your project is and if you've started it????
Tubby thanks for the morning smile..I had heard the one about man/lady at the Dr's but when it was told to me it was much more risque..lol
Crissy, guess it's all in how you enter your choice into gps..I'm sticking with her, eventually after a lot of sightseeing we DO GET to our destination, so that's ok...laugh at the legal "U" turn response..wonder how they got that approved..
Mary what is a dance team, is it one of those video dance organizations that come and set up with screen??? Where will DH go and fish? is there good fishing in your region? Ohhh double birthday celebration, as with most moms am sure she'll be disappointed but understands..are you asking for anything special for your birthday? I always have a list ready months before..I tease the boys in January asking if they know who has a birthday coming up..
When Roger was alive, I'd come up with various things I wanted and he'd say go get it and that will be your birthday present, then another and same response, when my birthday finally did come around he'd feel bad there would be no gift and I'd get another...miss having him around..when Greg visits they are so alike in looks and personality that it seems I've still got him...enough of that...
Bev, how are both you and Scotty doing...have you managed to get your son to agree to a Dr's appt.? Wish you were here, I've got all those pretties from Liz and Crissy, want to do something spectacular with them and can't come up with an idea...so perhaps you can put your thinking cap on and tell me how to do it..
Barb, Bernie and his wife are leaving for N.H. tomorrow for the week, staying at some kind of resort..lordy had I not already taken a week I'd go and get them to drop me off to your house...after work tonight I'm going in search of the seam ruler and if I can't find I'll have you get one and ship..did you have trouble with the August block, I have to get mine done on the weekend, thought if you already worked out the kinks then you'd share...
Liz, tell Kenny the biggest fish come from Georgian Bay...I'll take him up the islands fishing with the pro's...you'd better surprise him and plan a trip to Canada next year...
Trisha, that was grandma's remedy when she couldn't sleep..hot toddy she would say..
Was nice having the girls over last night..Tina the youngest of the group decided to take a birdbath, cut plexiglass just a little bigger than the birdfeeder and is doing the pretties painting design on the glass, then adding branches into the birdfeeder area, the base is painted with same..omg it will be pretty..was thinking of looking for one of those plastic birdbaths as they must all be on sale and do one for mom for Christmas, she loves outdoor garden pieces...
Something you might like to do Trisha..I think she left my book with the pattern at home as she photocopied the instructions..if it's there I'll post if not I'll take photo's next week...
Had problems getting home last night, with the storm, hydro wires were across the 400 hwy. both north and southbound so had to take all back roads and they were bumper to bumper so took a break and visited with Bernie, chance to find out what happened with the hearing..
Not sure what to make of it...the first meeting that the insurance lawyer attended they came to the conclusion that $$$ should be paid out to Bernie, then the insurance company said it was the agent who was in error and they would pay part of the settlement, well a few weeks later the company said no they would not be paying, unusual seeing their lawyer recommended payment...then 2 more meetings and the insurance company head division lawyer didn't show up, always because there was an emergency of some sort..
At this time Bernie's lawyer petitioned the court to set a court date..judge came back and said they had to try 1 more meeting prior to setting the date and yesterday was the day..
Head office lawyer, 2 other lawyers and Bernie's lawyer attended...outcome at the end of the day was that all were recommending payment..going back and making their suggestion the top dog as they said and he should hear or have $$$ within 2 weeks..not sure I believe them after the last time...Bernie's lawyer is going to the courts today to get a court date just incase and notify them that a date has been requested, might make them think twice about not following through with payment..the lawyers for the insurance company apparently said with the info Bernie's lawyer has and the insurance agent who sold him the insurance policy saying she made the error that they would not want to take it to court...so thank you for your prayers...let's hope it comes through....
Good Morning.
Terry & Shirley, Thank you for letting us know the situation.
Continued prayers and loving support going on over here as well.
Will have a special fire and send up offerings as well.
Mary, glad your enjoying the stories...Hope all the birthday celebration are lots of fun!
Betty, how was class?
Debbie, How are you feeling this morning?
Hi Trisha!
Omg, laughed some at reading the sties of Betty and Debbies travels...Great photo to go along with the narration. I agree with Bertty, Debbie you write nicely.
Waiving Hello Liz, getting things done? Yep, missing the dock too. Sigh...
Yesterday, was the first day of football practice. We are car pooling with one of the boys down the block, I volunteered to do the first drop off...So my day started at 5:15 A.M. LOL...was in bed by 9:30. Lots of running around today, Doc appt. for Breenie. for her hands.
Got to pick up a few f.ball items for Jake...and some school stuff.
Last night, Jake, Steve and I went around the block to welcome Jake's wrestling coach Home from his tour in Irag...So glad he is home safe and sound.
Remember, way back i told you Jake and team sent him a box of stuff, Coach said he laughed at Jakes overstuffed envelope and used the little army swiss knife often. Awe Jake was pleased that he was able to help.
Brian is home too, he called Steve yesterday and already itching to go to work!
Well, i better run, Lots to do today.
Tubby, wishing you a good day, Thank you for the Morning giggles and laughs...LOL, I have learned not to be drinking coffee when I read your smiles of the day.
Liz, for you sweetie.
My blood test came back . I have colesteral 245 so the doc put me on staten drug. I don't know if it caused it but I have had two days of bad anxiety attacks. I take two anti depression pills a day. I am a hellion with these things and I feel so bad when I feel that way. Am ok today except iky stomach. I am going to get busy today. I ordered 10 Stella De Ora daylilies to put all around Blues outside pen. At $1.00 each can't beat it. Someday that will be pretty. Well gotta go burn the trash. You all have a good day. LOVE & HUGS BEV
Betty that sounds like our weather! Around here they're called "Pop Up Storms" because they pop up outta nowhere. Good grief, sounds like you had quite the storm, glad you made it home ok.
Oh I hope this is the end to Bernie's problems with the house, insurance companies, lawyers, ug. What a hassle. Sounds like he's got a good attorney, glad he went to get a court date just in case, it can always be canceled.
Well, I'm waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and those who know me know how good I am at that :p
$1.00 each?? Where did you find those? Hope you get to feeling better Bev, those meds can make you feel worse than the actual problem does. I hope they don't counter-act each other.
Well I was outside after dark the night before last and felt something biting the top of my big toe, right behind my toenail. Bent down and grabbed it, felt like an ant, the bite felt like an ant, thought, "Shoot I have another ant bite on my toe, that's going to itch!" Well it started itching at 2am last night real bad (ant bites to me are far worse than mosquito bites) and with me I get a small blister where the actual bite happened, I always just pop the little blister and get as much of the poison out as I can, and it makes it feel a lot better. Well the bite got the blister, so I get up and go to the bathroom to pop it, and there are two of them side by side. So, two ant bites at the same time is possible since I could have been standing on an ant hill and not known it since it was dark, or a spider bite? Either way, I treated them like ant bites but I put Neosporin and a band aid on them this time, just in case. I've never been bit by a spider so I have no clue what those are like.
Bev, so many meds bring on anxiety, you just don't know what is worse, staying with the illness or trying the meds...I'm with Crissy, where did you get plants at $1.00 each..were they from locals selling off stock? great buy..
Nice blue water Judy, looks as though all are having a good time fishing..got to ask, did Liz put the worms on the hook? if she did it must have been a picture....lots of yuk/yuks going on..
Judy, bet Jacob was so excited about coach being back home..tell those boys they should join our stuffed envelope swap..seems they got mega supplies in the coaches..
Crissy, nothing worse than an itchy bite..maybe go check out in the yard tonight and if you see ant hills go to Walmart and purchase powder to get rid of them..I've three or 4 big mounds, always forget to purchase killer powder so I boil water and dump over the mounds...
No work for you this morning Crissy...I've been busy, when I say busy I've taken about 4 calls and booked them in..that means more than a days' work for staff..now I'll find something to play with..
Got my Georgian Bay College Continuing Education Fall catalogue, there are a few programs I'd like to join so will sit and see what is being offered ..
Betty I have more ants than you can imagine. You "kill" one hill and they move to another location in the yard. It's an everlasting battle and my paychecks would go to nothing but ant killer.
Bev got the plants for $1.00, I asked the same thing, I want on that boat! LOL
I'm busy, but need more information that I'm waiting for. I know it will take a few hours but I have no patience and can't stand waiting.
Crissy you'll have to find yourself a craft project to do..lol..wouldn't your boss like that..
I got waylaid as they say, was doing the little table/chair set for my niece, all gung ho and then set it aside, it's here in my work closet so perhaps this afternoon I'll take it out and work on it..
Paul is working in the city almost every day now, going to open several more offices, apparently I get to train some of the new employees..can't teach compassion though to someone who may not have it..but, I'll try..says he's hoping by 2010 to have up to 3 or 4 more offices open..
lol betty first time i tried to cut one with sissors and had a fit ,
jacob said your such a girl!
then i pinched them off i was ok then lol
thanks for pic judy going to print it out for kenny he is having a fit!
they even recycled water bottles full of water omg nothing like more work!
police came down street and asked me if i heard 30 pops they said like rounds of gun fire but i hadnt so he said their trying to locate the sound soon as he left i heard it dosnt that just figure! well two cars getting serviced so im off to run more errands.
Guess by your post Liz you are off work for the rest of the week, lordy you'll not want to go back...
Just had a good laugh, Suzanne is here looking at the book for class and there is one that says 'learn who you were in previous life' so I was telling her about my friend the psychic who she remembers as living in her home town, said he painted me on a hospital tray lol he'd paint on anything.. said I was a Jezebel, men waited on me hand and foot and I had little use for them, that in this world I am meant to repay the past life by waiting on all others...Suzanne says "and how is that working for you" lol
LOL Betty that would fly like a fart in church! We're mailing out mass mailers so I helped with stuffing and labeling, then went to the ATM to get stamps, what a fiasco that was.
LOL!! I would like to know what I was in a previous life, once in a while I'll have a dream that I'm living in the mid 1800's carrying water from the water pump to the house, don't know if I got that from my grandmothers stories or if I was alive then and actually did that.
Liz you are one busy girl! That's pretty good that the police are looking for who is shooting, usually they quit shooting before the police can respond. What dumbies!
Oh, I was going to tell you about getting stamps from the ATM, simple task, right?? NOT! There's my bank just on the other side of the river, not 5 minutes away. That is the worse US Bank I have ever been to, but it's convenient at times. I turn in, two signs say "ATM Open" so I pull up to it, there's no ATM! I drive around the parking lot, it's a 15 story building so the parking lot is big, pull up to a teller and ask for stamps. She goes to search for a book of stamps, what seemed like 5 minutes later she came back and said that they're out of stamps. Oh good grief. The office has pizza ordered and now I'm in a hurry, fuel light just came on Nice!! (Betty and Debbie knows what can happen when I get in a hurry.) Well, didn't happen this time, there's another US Bank 15 minutes north, so here I go. It would be faster to take the interstate but longer to get to it than just to go through Downtown North Little Rock on Main Street. A stoplight at every block, hit every one of them on red so no speed demon today, finally got to the bank up there, got my stamps from that ATM, and hauled back. We ordered the pizza at 11 across the street and it's still not here, so I hurried for nothing, and didn't get gas. A 10 minute trip turned into a 30 minute trip ggggrrrrrr
Hi I am back for a few.
Oh Bev, so sorry tohear about the anxiety attacks. Was telling Liz, i get them outta the clear blue sky, usually while driving.
So, anyway i hope that yours subsides. Do you find anything that helps to calm them. I find soft music helps me a bit.
Oh Crissy, sure sounds like a spider bite to me...They do itch! I got two last, last time i was up in Wisconsin.
OMG, I have a huge ant hill...whill i do leave alone because it's well away from house...Have you ever tried boiling them out?
Did a couple of times with red hills, but you have to be real quick with a couple of aplications.
Sigh, wish I was there to help with your mass mailing...I am starting to miss my work.
Betty, yes Jake was very pleased Coach was home...So funny, Liz doesn't have any brothers, so I think she has adopted Jake for one, LOL or he adopted her, They were just a riot together, actually all three Jake, Liz and Kenny lots of fun to watch them...LOL and I just sat back and watched the "show". They certainly entertained eachother, squabbling, joking and some playful competition.
Here's Jake and kenny taking eachother on at a friendly game of pool.
Hi Betty - Do you know where your brother is going here in NH? There are several resorts and he will have a great time at any one of them. Let me know if you can.
Not much time just a quick check in before we leave for Seattle......
Lightening can strike from over ten miles away....strange stuff.....prayers for that family.
Sounds like a fun project...will look for instructions/photos!!
Waving to everyone,Have to get Sage and all her stuff gathered up before her dad gets here....we have his Doctors appointment up in Seattle today...sure hope they can do something for him.
Hope everyone has a great day!
That's true Trisha about the lightning. Dave always likes to go stand outside and watch the lightning at a distance and hear the thunder, one day I'm afraid he's going to get struck, he stands right in the middle of the lawn, and we have a huge lawn.
Judy, I wish I would have seen it, then I would know. One of the insertion points seem to be smaller than the other one, that's why I'm wondering about the two ant theory. I'd rather have two ants than a spider. I re-dressed it just before lunch, that whole part of my toe is swollen and red (could be red from me scratching it though.) I got it Tuesday evening around 9pm, so tonight is the 2nd night. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens, I'm thinking if it was something serious I would know it by now???
Crissy, could it be a 'tick' bite?
Debbie how are you doing with the swelling of hands/feet? Did you make the appt. for today?
Hi y'all. Just popping in to say hi. I've been busy at work and home and am totally addicted to facebook games! Just got back from vacation last week. Drove to Cooperstown, New York for induction weekend then on to Boston where we saw the Sox play as well as Ben Afflect hanging outside Fenway. Next, we went to Block Island and spent the day. Rented mopeds and explored the island w/ the kids in tow. Back on the mainland the next day where we hit Mystic, CT then my cousins in PA. Had a great time but looked forward to getting home. then we got home and we wish we'd stayed gone.
Our power had gone out - the breaker popped b/c of a lightning strike that killed the AC unit. So the fridges defrosted - water in my kitchen floor - Pergo runined, no AC and hot water tank died (unrelated). So we've had a mess the last week and half but insurance has been wonderful. Can't replace the Pergo anymore so I think we're going to look into tiling the kitchen and breakfast room. With the power being out, my poor pond was scum city! I can't believe the fish survived. Before we left, we had a chunk of our huge Bradford pear tree in our front yard fall off so we now have to get that removed. So we're really looking forward to the lake in a week!
Will chat more later
Jeannine
Barb, just spoke to Bernie..said something Cratched ? Francestown...If I'm right it's only about 1/2 hr. from your house...wouldn't you know..now we could be sewing/quilting and chatting..
Charlene (SIL) works for a major resort here between Barrie/Orillia..top notch golf and winter skiing, they get rooms 90% off when travelling so they decided it was time they get away..imagine they are leaving 1st thing tomorrow morning but that could change..
A friend of his who lives across the road from him and owns a lumber mill headed to North or South Dakota, forget which (yes I know there is a difference - but he was rambling on while telling me) .. apparently a lady lost control of her vehicle, went in the ditch medium, came up on the other side and hit him, pushed in into the other lane, was hit by another vehicle and thrown into a ditch..they are trying to get low altitude plane right now to bring him home..know he's losing 1 leg and perhaps the other and is critical..not sure why they are trying to get him home, perhaps he didn't purchase travel insurance... maybe Bernie will put off travelling as they are great buds..he's waiting now to hear if he's coming home or not?
Hello Jeannine, I've missed you though we've gabbed on facebook, always like to see you post...
OMG that truly is a lot going on..couldn't you have taken Ben Afflect home? Sounds as though you truly enjoyed your time away, short lived though to come back to all that mess...will your insurance cover the floor replacement and the refrigerator supplies? bet you could have cried and probably did..
Thought of you on my recent road trip, Shar took Debbie and I to Paducah and visited the most gorgeous fabric store..you and mom will have to get to Paducah for the next quilt show...
How are the furries doing? How many doggies now, 2-3-4 or did you con hubby into more...
Your vacation, taking the pontoon boat I'm sure..have you used it much this year..our weather has been so terrible that I've not been out yet..maybe this weekend, unless weather changes.. know last year/year before you met up with family and had quite a vacation together..will they be attending this year as well....
So many questions..lol
