Close up of Ligularia Brittt Marie
Garden Photo's 09.....#37
Thanks, Phoebes!! It is a no name that has been in bloom for over 4 months now, I think!
I like how yours has a hint of color there! Very nice!
the long view is great Willie!!
Wow! Love the long view too! and I love the dasies!
Wow! So much has been posted since I checked this out on Wed. I was too tired to get on the computer last night. I tried reading, but just kept dozing off.
Jo Anne, that's cool that you have an inventor in the family.
Bill, too bad you live next to neighbors like that. Sounds like they are big time hoarders. I know some people like that. Fortunately they don't live next to me. I know one woman who is a big time hoarder. You really can't tell from looking at the outside of the house, but watch out when you go in! I never asked her why, but a couple of years ago they cut down nearly every tree and shrub in their yard. Very odd! Obviously she is not gardener. Bill, when it comes to volunteer plants, I don't have the hear to rip them out, either. Nice 'blues' shot.
Yes, Marilyn, even though our heat has only been in the 80's, the humidity has been at tropical level, and bad for those with breathing problems (like my friend Karen, poor woman!).
Love your hummer and monarda shot, Pat!
Great Stargazer shot, Willie! And great other shots, too. You have some nice flowers there. Love the sea hollies. You will have more DL's to add to your collection from me soon!
Love the FL sunsets, Celeste! I want to go there again this winter. Your Space Mountain Asiatics are great, and I love the DL Little Rainbow. Indian Giver is a favorite, and that Cat Dancer is gorgeous! Dallas Star is wonderful, too! Oh, and Shocker and Nymph are superb! Stop posting, I'm running out of adjectives!!!!! Oh, and Ballyhoo! I have that one and love it. And the polytepal shot is nice. I, too, love it when they poly.
Allison, I wish you hadn't shown that Big Dipper Farm link. Now I want every ligularia they have!!!!!
Karen
great pics as usual willie - interested to hear how the ee's make it over the winter
Love that sea holly, Willie---I never planted any--thought it would be too prickly---Jo Ann, those reds look really nice---I can see a painting coming up! Too rainy for photos today----I think it finally stopped raining.
Willi!
Great third DL.
All pictures are fantastic.
Aw.... thanks folks .... glad I can "zoom" in for these photos, because, as you can see from the long view, I am pretty short on all colors but green!
The blue sea holly is a little prickly, but nothing compared to thistle!!! I would recommend it, ESP. if you plant it near a veggie garden, as this is one plant that REALLY attracts the pollinators. Esp. the bees.
I can hardly wait to see, Karen. I know you have been busy, don't fret!
I will definitely be letting you know about the EEs, Bill. I also have some Alocasia; (2) African Mask, (2) lauterbachiana and (1) Portora. They are an old interest, but never really had success with them until lately.
Flavo Pleno is awesome, Bev! Though, my third DL is a common one (I think Home Depot, I got a chunk from my neighbor).
Triple Kwanso in situ
Willi, Your triple Kwanso is "Flavo Pleno" Intro 1917. I called it that for ys.. Found what I have this yr. BEV
Yes, I did buy 'Rhinestone Kid'!! Thank you as I can no longer read the tag!!
I had an idea it was Ribbonette...sad as I paid for it to be something else.
Willie I'm in love with your Dendrobium , it's beautiful! Oh and the red of that Hibiscus is perfect........DH said so and he's my Hibiscus color pro. LOL
Robin will you be at Louise's RU? I will try to bring you some Blue sea Holly if you'd like. Like I said...i'll try as I haven't had good luck moving them.
Nice Jo Ann...I think I lost my Tiki Torch!!
it's new for me.
lets see if it reapears next spring.
Willi What is the red flower in your long shot? Red DL Red Mittens (oldie) & Parden Me doing well in partial shade here.
Thanks for the AKA, Bev! I love finding out new info / clues! You were close, as I see it is "flore pleno."
I am liking those Casa Blanca and Landini lilies very much. Nice collage of photos, JoAnn!
Thanks, Celeste! I am experimenting with my new camera, hopefully all the colors will be much closer to the true hue!
That does look yucky, Allison!!
Iris, the red plant in the near foreground of the long shot is a kind of small-leafed angel wing begonia.
Anyone have any clues as to an ID on "These Which Are NOT Tinos?" I don't think the the orange looks good next to the StarGazers, at all ......
What a vibrant red, Allison! Nice!
nice Willie!!

Turning off the flash worked well for you! I have three pinky winkies waited to be planted .... I might have to wait until next spring to plant them.
Here is one of my favorites, though everyone insists its a very suggestive flower.
Ceropegia ampliata
