That's a great toad lily, Allison. I will have to consider adding it to my collection. I only have one TD right now. Need more!

Bill, I'm liking your echi and monarda shot. That's a good combo. I like your wren shot, too. I like wrens, also. Such cute little things. Yes, they do scold me when I'm in my garden near their nest. I have 2 nesting here, one in a patriotic red, white and blue house in the back gardens, and one in front in a brown house near my sister's driveway.

Dyane, I love DL 'Sanibel Shoals'. Very nice! I have always wanted to visit Sanibel Island. I have been to Marco Island 3 times, and I just love collecting shells there, and I've heard Sanibel is 'the' place for shell collecting. The Gulf Coast of FL is the best place I've been for shells. I like that 'Chianti' Asiatic lily, too!

Victor, 'Indian Giver' looks great with PDD. And I like that Oriental lily pic you posted below it. I will have to remember that the northern sea oats grass is invasive and dead-head it this year. I planted a clump last year. I like it, too.

Cute frog in the fern, Noreaster!

That last one of yours looks like a house wren, Allison. I love your Oriental lilies and begonias. That pink Volcano phlox is great, too!

Here are some DL shots from the first week of July. I'm way behind in posting.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very pretty, Karen!

Allison, my hibiscus all look great, including KK. They should start blooming any day now.

Thomaston, CT

Oh, very nice shots! Loved both of the wrens---had 2 families nesting here this summer, plus a Carolina wren. Dyane, I also liked 'Sanibel Shoals', & that dark bud of Pixie's. Nice to see the begonias as well. Here is a hardy agapanthus...

Thanks, guys!

Here's a few pics of Chicago Plum Pudding, which is a favorite of mine. BTW, I think I just heard what sounded like the death throes of a rabbit outside. Probably a fox or coyote got it.

The cold spring killed my 'Plum Crazy'---I'll try another one next year. Here is a clump of NOID OTs.

Oh, very nice, Marilyn! I love them!!!!

Karen

Thomaston, CT

Oh, no---I just hate the coyotes---they're getting all our rabbits.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Karen---not many clumps left due to hungry chippies.

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Chicago Plum Pudding is a beaut! I'm liking Cranberry Cove too. Sanibel Island is also on my list to visit. Might take the kids in a few years. I have always loved walking beaches looking for shells.

Robindog, that hardy agapanthus looks pretty neat. I've never seen that before.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

These names are getting me hungry!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Yeah. That CPP DL makes me think of black raspberry ice cream. Yum!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

love that plum crazy Robin.. does it smell good?

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Great pictures everyone
Onewish! I grew Apricot Sprite from seed and its blooming I am so happy.
Now if we can just get it to live over winter.
I bought Agas. Apache Sunrise and its just starting to bloom. From the sounds outside the window its raining buckets so no pix.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yeah for your sprite... told you it would bloom in time... I was thinking of bringing one of mine in over the winter and see how it goes

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thompson & Morgan lists 'Apricot Sprite' as hardy for zones 7-10. Maybe it could possibly be wintered over inside.

Karen

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i like that cpp too karen - they all look great.

allison your blooms look great as well - and love the hummer shots! i walked around the yard trying to track one down the other day with no success - have taken down the kitchen sink bird feeder and put up a hummer feeder - had one there this morning

Thomaston, CT

Allison, the plum pudding is Karen's---some of my DLs are slow to open this summer(?), but I did have a dahlia just open--it's from a mix called Akita.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have been told by neighbor gardener "I had one ,it didnt live thru the winter" now I know why.
Thats OK i' wont be dissapointed when it doesnt appear next spring. Believe me there are others to take its place.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Karen I really like the tones in 'Martha Reed'!

Allison your coleus looks so good compared to mine. I think the earwigs are eating them! That Pink Volcano is really a nice color and I can't get over the fact that 'Penny Black' is so small. I really like it but have had no luck growing it!

Robin, that lily looks like 'Touching' or 'Shocking', but either way it's beautiful!!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

These are rainyday pictures.
I love Verbascum Sixteen candles
I also have agastache apache sunset that is hardy in Z6
Conc d ores are just opening, they are under a tree so dont get as tall. OK with me they look great where they are
