One of my garden views. BEV
July in the garden
I'll be darned.
The whole garden composition is just beautiful.
Great white fleece flower. More information here:

WOW I had to move a Bridal Vail and looked up the specs ,its quite tall and wide.
Thought that might be it.
I have a huge row of the persicaria polymorpha and I just love it. Someone told me it would run, but in 10 years it has only clumped, but gotten huge. Right now it's starting to get the pinkish red tint to it. Mine gets about five feet tall, how tall is yours?
I have it as a backdrop for some pink and white lilies. The persicaria starts to get the pinkish red colors as the lilies open.
For anyone who loves roses Zuzu's photos are a delight for the eyes:

Last two photo threads, Copenhagen and Iceland are done, now back to work and gardening, or trying to revive my neglected garden after being away 3 weeks!
How odd
I love that picture with the bird and the baby rose, Iris. It's so cheerful.
Good morning ZUzu
Its reallllly early on the west coast!
Or realllly late, depending on your point of view.

I also have Carribian collection from Biltmore but 1 bud so far. They are a bit crowded in the birch wood cage.

Lovely, Jo Ann. My Monarda are now about an inch tall. I had to whack them back due to powdery mildew...again.
Beautiful Jo Ann.
I sprayed my monarda with baking soda this year. So far so good. It's right near some of my lilacs, and I do them each year with baking soda anyway.
I have never had a mature patch of monarda.
It's not so beautiful toward the end of the season.
Try the baking soda. I have a Miracle Gro sprayer on the end of a hose, and just put some baking soda in it, and spray in the spring./ early summer. Considering all the rain we've had it's done well with no powdery mildew.
I have lost many Monarda to mildew, but Raspberry Wine has been a mildew free for me. It is now in it's 3rd summer and I have let it spread at will to nearly fill a 12 ft diameter bed. Three tiny plants from Bluestone have done all this since their planting in June of 07. It sure gets a lot of attention from the bees and hummingbirds.
Lovely!
How stunning that clump is. You're a great salesperson for that monarda! From what I've heard the deer don't like it so it's a real winner.
I was just thinking, too, I've had no powdery mildew at all on my phlox this year, even though they really need to be thinned. And they were sprayed with the baking soda too, so I think it really does work.
My phlox is fine: the deer keep it well trimmed.
