What a gorgeous delphinium, Holly. That yellow daylily might be Blackeyed Stella.
(almost) July blooms
Beautiful pictures, Holly.
Holly is that pagans purple more blue or more purple in person?
Jen, That pic is right on the mark color wise. It has a blue outer edge with the purple inner. To me I would think looking at the plant in the distance it looks like a dark purple but that could change depending on what is growing around it. I could see the color going one way or the other with differnt flowers bordering it. Ric says it's violet-blue, like spring violets, and I think I agree. I've never tried collecting seeds but if you would like them I could try.
i just wish they weren't so floppy... such beautiful flowers.. and such a train wreck with all this rain
Sure, Holly, that sounds great give it a try, can't hurt, thanks.
pretty begonia
Can someone please tell me (or show me) where the thread is I read recently about the homemade fertilizers??? Chantell helped me out over the weekend to put it together for my Mom, but I want to do some more reading about it now that I'm back home.
Thanks!
Karen

Hope one of these was it....Gita
Holly that lily is gorgeous. Do you know the name? And I love the color on that daylily.
Thanks Gita... the second one was indeed the one I was looking for!
:o)
Oh gosh if it's catnip that's getting ripped right out!
That looks like blackeyed susan vine, Jen. It sure is a pretty color with that speckling.
I don't think that's catnip. Catnip has purple flowers, the leaves are more of a gray/green and not shaped quite like that.

It looks more like spearmint, although that has purple flowers too, or peppermint. I haven't grown that one in a while and don't remember the flowers. Maybe it's some kind of wild mint. Does the foliage have a scent?
Your daylilies are really pretty, Claypa.
very nice shots Jen!
R_R_R, My Blushing Susie is growing not flowering yet but growing.
Holly, my blushing susie vine for this year is very slow also. I have one that I started indoors the beginning of February and it is just now one 2 feet tall and beginning to bloom. The spring/summer rains overdrenched much of what I put out and the late frost took its toll also. Your plant came from my second batch of seeds which were started in late February. I think that from now on I will try to start all my annuals much earlier than recommended providing that I have enough room to keep them happy until they can go outside.
Roses, that sure is pretty with the blackeyed susan vine and morning glories climbing up your deck.
Awesome, RRR
Thank you also Jen. I see that you have all kinds of beautiful colors going in your gardens.
R_R_R, What are those 2 dark leafed plants growing in the back against the house?
